The one I ordered for my 2019 mustang said “built in” CarPlay so I’m wondering whether or not I still need the dongle, as it was still an option to buy as an add-on purchase
Works great! I’ve heard this model is discontinued but that may be false. It’s not perfect by any means but definitely does what I would like it to do. Bluetooth works quick, sound is top notch and looks great!
hey man i have the same screen, but it runs SUPER slow. Like, takes a long time to even boot up... is there a way to update the software or something? trying to figure out the problem.
Hey man, mine takes around 30 seconds to load. Takes some time but acts normal as it boots up. Unfortunately, it won’t work as good as a OEM set up does.
Hey bro, does you music start lagging when you’re in the carplay homescreen? I believe its something to do with the google maps feature because when i move to the apps menu, or if the car is not moving or if exit the carplay from the unit the music plays normal. But as soon as i go back to the carplay homescreen and the map pops up it laggs again
@@LoganScott. yeah same with me, I’ve tried to update the autokit apk and it made it worse, i uninstalled and installed again I changed settings here and there and nothing. I send a message to Phoenix automotive but no reply yet. If l get a fix l’ll share it here.
@@NipseyBlu707 On my phone I do but I from what I know there are places where you can purchase a hotspot device that plugs into your OBD2 but usually has a fee per month

Dope! Great video man, the Tesla screen really improved the interior of your Mustang alot 💪🏾❗️
Thanks Cam!! Really enjoy it!
Clean video, love watching em!!! Might switch to the tablet myself
Means a lot my man! 🤟 The tablet can be slow at times, but it’s definitely worth it overall!

If it stated “built in” I would hope it’s built in 😂

Mine unfortunately does the same but not all the time. If I log out and go back in, it will sometimes work.

When you ordered it did you keep the eom radio and sync or removed it
Eom? When I bought the radio, I removed everything and the Apple car play plugs into the back of it.
Did you get the 4g ram or 2g ram
Believe it was 2g
Thank you I’ve watched this video all the time do you have a back up camera
So the only way to use GPS is by hotspot… you can’t just use CarPlay on your phone???
Yes. I don’t use it often but it’s nice to have. Wish it was like the newer vehicles but it’s also aftermarket.
@@LoganScott. so you have to have hotspot to use GPS?

@@LoganScott. ok
Will the apple car play go full screen
Yes.
I deleted the zlink app on my screen, do you have any tips on how I can get it reinstalled?
The App Store possibly?
