Try resetting the system or checking your connections to the back of the unit. Sometimes, these units need a different software that can be accessed in the advanced setting
@@jdubstangy make sure the harness in the back is fully connected and make sure its not muted, if restarting it doesn’t work try programming each button to match accordingly with your steering wheel buttons and control the volume from the steering wheel

I don’t believe this has Sirius XM. I rarely used it when I had it so I wouldn’t be a good person to ask. As for satellite radio, it still works as normal! You may be able to download an app on this system to get what you want as well
there's like 15 addons you can order with the unit, no idea what I'd need. I know I don't use apple products and my mustang is just a base 2010 model, doesn't even have the speakers in the door, nice informative viseo though

just got my 16 year old daughter a 2014 Mustang convertable with the tesla screen (she is so in love with it). Sadly the back up camera was looking bad (horrible pic quality) when we got it a couple of days ago. Today it is showing nothing at all other than the lines (no visual feed at all anymore). Maybe that happened when we put the new plate on from the DMV. Either way it was having issues before that. Does anyone have any suggestions for a way to fix this problem? Thanks.
You will need to go through the advance settings to change it from the s550 to the s197. The color of the car wont change unfortunately. It’s whatever it’s preset to. Mine is a blue s197.
You said it was a little laggy at times, what ram did you get? Because they start at 2GB and go all the way to 8Gb. I seen another user that had the 6gb version and it was smooth as butter
I believe mine is a 2GB. Probably the reason why it’s little laggy. Normally, it runs smooth with slight hiccups here and there. Nothing that would drive you crazy

I’ve had multiple people ask me this same question and I honestly don’t remember my man. I believe it was either the green or purple wire from the top of my head but that could be completely false. The best method (in my opinion) is to tap the camera wire to any positive on the back side of the screen while the car is in reverse. By doing so will allow you to see if the camera activates. I may need to make a video on this in the summer
Hey I'm looking into getting this for my car and getting a backup camera just like you. Was is difficult to install the camera wiring or was it a simple plug and play?
Super simple. Everything is labeled and ready to be plugged in. The plugs have different sizes so it’s pretty easy to guess what’s what. The camera was a little more Tedious (due to wire tucking under the carpet and bumper removal). Other than that, very straight forward.
Hey, I know this is an issue of video but I was wondering if you’ve had any issues with this setup draining your battery. I have a parasitic drain and I’m mostly sure it’s my setup. But also, I have a regular battery that I’m planning on upgrading. Any help would be right on time.
@@LoganScott. it was the battery. I was using the 96R that ford recommends but I put an Optima battery in a couple weeks ago and I haven’t had any issues. It seems like I needed a higher Cold Crank Amperage
Only issues I have with the unit is sometimes when I have my music paused through Bluetooth, it’ll turn back on again minutes later. Not a big deal but it happens here and there. Other than that, I can’t complain. Honestly it was hard to give you an answer lol. Full honest truth, this was totally worth the $400 and one of my favorite ads ons. Really made the interior feel like 2021 and not 2014
I also have one in my '12 mustang. There also an issue with the ac, sometimes I can't control the ac, so I'd have to wait to turn off the car then turn it back on.
Hey how are the A/C controls and reaching them compared to the OEM radio? I see they have a new unit on Pre-Order that has physical A/C buttons and a volume / tuning hardware knob on both sides.. The A/C controls to me look like they're a bit low and like the shift knob would get in the way if you gotta press them.. Do you use Apple Carplay at all? Does it glitch out or does it work 100%? I had a Pioneer head unit in my old Mustang and Carplay would constantly glitch at the worst times.. music would cut off and all I would hear is Apple Maps Navigation it was so annoying.
The A/C work the same as the OEM until with some minor upgrades as in changing the temperature (units) compared to guessing on the last one as well as other features depending on your car model. They do sit a little low but I’ve gotten use to it. I don’t use it often so it’s not too much of a problem. The Apple car play I plan on getting here at some point soon. The unit works decently without it but lacks features if you don’t have wifi to pair it with. With Apple car play, everything you’ll ever want or need is in Apple car play. I haven’t experienced any delays with maybe* a few once and a blue moon. Haven’t had issues with music unless it had something to do with my phone which has nothing to do with the unit. There are features throughout the system you can change to your liking. You need a passcode to get into it I believe I provided in this video.

I’ve heard of this issue persisting with others in the community before. Not sure what direction to look to tackle this problem but I would ask Chat GBT, watch UA-cam videos, research forums and ask industry professionals or friends. If I had to take a wild guess, check to ensure the system is plugged in correctly and the system is reset and updated. Hope this helps my friend! 💯🤟
If it’s Apple CarPlay, I don’t have it because I opted out of it. You can buy it separately but I have no use for it tbh. There is a mirror link that may work in a similar way?
I’ve been wanting to do the same. Forgot the process but I believe it requires wifi to be connected to the unit and saved as a wall paper or a USB on the back of it (if there is one)
@@LoganScott. it’s small issues i guess that I have.. hate that it goes to a camera that I don’t have in reverse, my heated seats don’t work, rear defrost doesn’t work. Annoying how you can’t just hold down button when changing temp.. you have to tap it and living in Michigan in spring and fall can be annoying with that cuz you’ll need heat in the am and ac in afternoon
@@TheThreeOneThree313 the backup camera issue I had as well but it’s pretty easy to add a camera to this system. As for the defrosters, I haven’t had issues with that and can understand why you would want them. Personally, I would call the company and see if they can assist you

I don’t have any issues with my system and if I do it’s rare. You could be running into a battery issue or may need to check your alternator.

I would check your connection again. Mine automatically paired when the unit was plugged in
There are settings to balance out the sound. I would check there too, as well as, the mute button

I kept it simple and didn’t buy any add on’s. I should have gotten the Apple car play for an additional $75 but I was too cheap at the time to do so
