i really liked annihilation. it's written in an accessible way where you see the world from the eyes of a scientist who cant quite understand what happened to her husband after he embarked on a top secret mission to understand a really weird phenomenon. her life revolves around uncovering a mystery and it's just barely a sci-fi compared to something like a star trek or star wars. if you like annihilation you would love Gone World by Tom Sweterlitsch.
Annihilation was good but the rest of the trilogy really didn't carry the momentum. It's one of those series where the first one has something ingenious in it's story telling, but that can't be replicated once it's done. So the latter two books were quite standard sci-fi in my view, and didn't live up to what Annihilation was. I also started the movie but had to tap out after like 15 minutes. It just did not work.
I might point out that a 1/4 hp compressor can be had for less than the pump! Many come with a tire inflator and blower attachment. The blower attachment is great for drying off the bike. For not much more, there are kits that include an 18-gauge brad nailer. Bike in the morning, build bird houses in the afternoon!
@That.Guy. - co2 canisters are such a waste, IMO. Been to several different bike/sport shops for inner tubes. Just to have the 'help' tell you they don't have any in stock, but they'll sell you co2 canisters. Single-use waste. Not for me.
I bought a smaller compressor just for bikes, like 39.99 CDN at Princess auto with a whole set of accessories. The logic of bike specific pricing makes me want to burn Rome...
I am running the new WolfTooth Dropper Post Lever on my Pivot Mach4SL race bike and b.c I have lockouts, this was the best solution. I love the adjustability of the remote. Talked with the Wolf Tooth Team at Big Sugar and they told it was coming. I picked up 3 weeks ago, love it
I have the old crankbrothers version of the dropper remote. Great design and I still use it. Surprised so many modern dropper levers are so bad. Was wondering when these would make a comeback, because it makes sense. And no, it is better than many modern levers so it isn't just for odd cockpits.
That wolftooth dropper lever is awesome! I have it on my norco bigfoot vlt , and i think its great!!! With big gloves and pogies, it works like a charm !!!
When I herd "revelatory of the plot" I went streight for the like button. PB you guys are wonderful. Love the podcasts and you yt content. Keep it going 👍 🏆
I had the crank brothers version of that dropper post lever. The cable will break from wear at the lever and the lever will fly off into the bushes if you don't keep an eye on the cable condition.
OTTO lock ... 2 seconds with tin snips and your bike is done. When mine jammed I didn't have the same problem stealing my own bike. Obviously old mates tin snips were from Wish.
“Where lies the strangling fruit that came from the hand of the sinner I shall bring forth the seeds of the dead to share with the worms that gather in the darkness and surround the world with the power of their lives while from the dimlit halls of other places forms that never were and never could be writhe for the impatience of the few who never saw what could have been.” -Jeff Vandemeer, Annihilation
Ottolocks are fine assuming you know EXACTLY what they are for. ONLY as a measure to prevent an opportunistic thief from literally walking away with your bike. I would never trust one of those on my bike for any amount of time greater than what it takes to pee or get a coffee. Actually got rid of them in my shop when I took over more of the inventory management because I feel ottolock over-markets the capabilities of the lock too much.
Oh and on the point that for him they held up to tin snips. I won’t try and refute that at all, the ottolock probably held up to them. BUT tin snips are not at all the right tool for the job. I’ve gone through quite a few as demos with just knipex diagonal cutters… even easier with the knipex bolt cutters you see a lot of world cup mechanics have in their tool boxes.
Lost me with those awful camo-on-camo pants, but then won me right back with the recommendation of a great "new" sci-fi novel from ten years ago 🤣. (Seriously, Annihilation is great. The movie adaptation is also pretty good IMO, although different from the book).
I have a no bearing dropped lever made of aluminum alloy that came with my giant, it's 28 grams, works pretty well, doesn't eat cables and it's smooth. I have a pnw lever on my hardtail. It's often not smooth and eats cables, weight about double and cost 3x the price. Nah 👎
the pump is actually 100 bucks, rest are for stickers

All of his books (Jeff Vandermeer) are dope. Strange but good and quite possibly prophetic…

@@AxelRoehr First book was great, second book was pretty boring until the second half, then it was good. Third book was a mess.
@@discostu333yeah, totally agree

Anything bicycle related is extremely overpriced. Even the CO2 cans are ridiculous

Bro this is like a show and tell
I've been running the freedom coast levers on my DHR Evos for almost a year now. Love them, well worth the money for me.

Brings me back to 2018 Seth’s Bike Hacks.
You need some more stickers on the floor pump

As a thumb flyer of RC aircraft, the dropper lever makes perfect sense.
❤ Pinkbike.
I thought of you Dario. Based off the music you always suggest at end of podcast, this song may be your style.
The Eastern Plane-Reckless.
Vandermeer trilogy: ordered.
I saw the movie. One of my favourites
Every lock a gangsta untill you hear "This is lockpickinglawyer...."

Wally’s! SLOCA representing. 🤘🏽
ION scrub pants can be adjusted with some internal velcro thing
Thank you for the book recomendation.
"if it's not too wet or snowy" he said, as i literally wanna go in the snow one of theese days XD. I'm ready to break my ass falling down honestly
Did you ever get around to doing an oak vs freedomcoast comparison for trp brakes?

Best comment I've seen: World's most expensive zip-tie.
I wouldn't use these on any of my bikes, not safe AT ALL.
You can buy a proper bike lock for less money.

Nice video! Do you know if the send it pants come in female cut/Sizes?
The 'Three Body Problem' dudes!!!
Damnnn, man must be ride deprived, looking depressed ahah. I'm too :'(
I made huge jumps out of snow and ice. It's a good fix
Does the pump come with those stickers??
Greetings dahmer!
Is this guy the American Mike Levy? Fascinated with Dunkin, drives a Prius with a V8 in it that constantly brakes down.
Close, it's a Yaris.
Solid "bike" video

Wait, mountain bikers know how to read??? 😂❤

Good video but the amount of vocal fry is crazy
Kind of irritating, to me.
It's NEVER reading season
The least enthusiastic advertisement I've ever seen.
“Out of touch guy apologetically recommends stuff no one asked for”
Anything bike related…”yeah, it’s f$&@in’ expensive”. I’ve got the disease, had it 30 years now.
I never, and I do mean never, leave my mountain bike locked up in town. Not worth it.
And while you went for wirecutters someone with better wirecutters is already driving your bike away
*you
$60 for that flimsy little bike lock? You can buy a proper Kryptonite chain lock or U-lock for less!
Dear god please change the presenter
Pointless!
