The fact that the community is big and passionate enough to a point where we can get something like this to happen is what's so special to me. Nathan Vetterlein, Rick May, Dennis Bateman, Gary Schwartz, Grant Goodeve, Robin Atkin Downes, John Patrick Lowrie, Jean-Benoît Blanc, Ashley Burch, and Ellen McLain: they've provided so much enjoyment, immersion, and comedy for one of the greatest games every made - and ShorK is blessing us beyond compare by showing us how special they all are.

I just adore how all the mercs still act in character and just have fun together. All we miss is scout and engineer and almost the whole gang is here. If only rick may was here.
A lot has been said about his voice - but I want to praise his physicality in this scene. Even the way he sits down at 0:13 has that stilted jarring cadence the way very early SFM animations have. It's not smooth on purpose and it's so great.
I'm the RED Engineer dead on the ground at the end! What a fun shoot. All of those cosplayers are fantastic, and of course ShorK and crew and Gary knocked it out of the park

Sincerely thank you Shork for organizing this stuff I think that I speak for all of us when I say that this is nothing short of fantastic.
I love that he shakes up his performance a bit to provide a new take on this old shining monument to his acting. He plays the Heavy more intimidatingly and threatening here as opposed to his more cold and direct responses to the interview in the original.
its so incredibly wholesome how proud gary is of the character he was part of bringing to life in tf2. he really loves the heavy and what valve created with his help

I don't think we could... he can protect himself more than we ever could!
Can I just say how absolutely amazing this is to see. In a community about a 15 year old game that's completely abandoned by its creators, we can have the real, actual voice actors getting together with fans and creators to make shit like this. The fact that the community is big and passionate enough to a point where we can get something like this to happen is what's so special to me. Bravo TF2, you truly are one of the most special games ever
Oh snap gasworks park
Dayum.
When I heard you guys got kicked out of the shoot location i was freaking DEVESTATED. I'm so glad you guys stuck with it and gave us this absolute gem.
why'd they get kicked out?

@@TiernanHousman I have a strange feeling that it had something to do with the giant minigun. XD

Gosh, this game will definitely never die, not with a fanbase and voice actors like these. It's so heartwarming to see. The fact that the cast is still so involved and willing to participate in making of something like this video is absolutely wonderful. It's like the characters themselves are not a distant image but instead so real and full of life. Thank you for this film, it sorta makes me feel at home. I might just love the mercs a little bit too much. Hope you guys had as much fun making this vid as we had watching it!
I know there's very little chance of ShorK seeing this, but I'm so grateful for what he's doing. Losing Rick May was such a devastating blow to the entire TF2 community, and it made us realize how talented, funny, and all of the TF2 voice actors really are. By making all these videos about the voice actors and inviting them to do recreations like this, ShorK is enabling us to never, ever take these legends for granted.
I really admire his performance, even in his old age, he still got it. Mad to respect. 👑
This man just cooked a whole 5 Star meal course. I love that you're giving so much more recognition to the VA's and supporting them! Can't wait to see what comes next!
Tf2 voice actors are literally the most generous people i have ever saw. I mean they are literally ready to do anything to make the community happy. Thats why i have so much respect for these folks.
I’ve yet to meet one that can outsmart bullet… 1:13
This genuinely made me smile. It's so awesome seeing irl VA's interacting with the game's characters, we deffo need more of these
I just adore how all the mercs still act in character and just have fun together. All we miss is scout and engineer and almost the whole gang is here. If only rick may was here.
Who voices engi again? I forgor💀
Get the Luigi pat

anyone knows why no scout VA in the party?
A lot has been said about his voice - but I want to praise his physicality in this scene. Even the way he sits down at 0:13 has that stilted jarring cadence the way very early SFM animations have. It's not smooth on purpose and it's so great.
YES!!!!
The way he moved throughout the video I thought he was legit animated
Gary seems like such a kind, genuine person, I’d love to meet him some day

Many years later, Gary’s still got the Heavy spirit in him. Really love the guy still doing the voice till this very day.
i can feel the Heavy spirit coming inside me
It will be a very very sad day when he inevitably passes.
I teared up just listening to this. These voice actors.. They deserve the world and much more.
These legends are my childhood come true. Great job on the costume designs. Everyone 10 out of 10 round of applause.
I'm the RED Engineer dead on the ground at the end! What a fun shoot. All of those cosplayers are fantastic, and of course ShorK and crew and Gary knocked it out of the park
you lucky dogs! did you get to shake his hand?
1:16 That smile. That damn smile. That smile is EVERYTHING.
TF2 Heavy is so good he was made in real life, 16 years later and its still such a great vibe to hear these voice lines, props to Gary
I’m right above you. Don’t look up
dude you are everywere
Yup. lol
As someone who has known every word from the short by heart for 14 years, I am completely satisfied. This is perfect.
It's so amazing how identical but also how much better it sounds, you can hear his voice adjust more fluently and smoothly from the years of expirence, thank you so much for the amazing peformance you have given us for years gary.
I genuinely couldn't tell if it was the old voicelines or he is legit that good even after all this years, my God this man is talented.
Words can’t describe how awesome this is. He’s clearly even studied the video a few times to get the mannerisms down. And of course the editing is top notch.

Medic: “Are you sure about that?”
Dude, he is not only high quality VA but also great actor. Even after all these years
Probably some of the kindest voice actors ever. You know they have fun doing this simply because after all these years their following grew, and grew and they love us just as much as we love them. Sincerely thank you Shork for organizing this stuff I think that I speak for all of us when I say that this is nothing short of fantastic.

Family guy's dead pose lmao
1:25 dude I love the person who did the family guy death pose 😂
Gary is an absolute gem. You can tell how much he enjoyed performing this!
It’s nas tho
1:01 barely could tell the difference between the OG and that take, still shows that Gary still has it 14 years later.
I love that he shakes up his performance a bit to provide a new take on this old shining monument to his acting.
He plays the Heavy more intimidatingly and threatening here as opposed to his more cold and direct responses to the interview in the original.
I honestly like his performance in this one better than the original
dude his acting is so iconic and like the real animated short
its so incredibly wholesome how proud gary is of the character he was part of bringing to life in tf2. he really loves the heavy and what valve created with his help
His voice as lead to the creation of an endless amount of memes and amazing animations over the years.
And giving back to the community in these kinda ways just truly solidifies his absolute GigaChad status!👏
Was an honor to work on Gary's costume. Everything turned out so well!!
I love it when actors are so passionate for their characters.
Not only he still got it. He is willing to do this for fun. What a legend. We will always love this man, exactly how we will always love Heavy
Your amazing dedication to TF2 and its community is what keeps it glowing with awesomeness like the Sun on a hot July summer afternoon. Keep up the great work ShorK and get yourself a beverage of your choice.
I can't imagine how taxing Heavy's voice is to his vocal cords. Legend.
Especially since he's the mad man who made Demoman Scottish.
We are forever in debt for putting the cherry on top of one of the most interesting characters in gaming history
Vocal training means even in his old age it won't be anymore taxing now then 14 years ago.
