A friend back in college showed me this video when it came out lmao, I got curious as to who the characters were, and started watching all the meet the team vids. I'm now now a major fan of the funni game and have over 600 hrs. This video literally brought new players to the game.

yeah i agree, and the way that they're so dynamic is an entirely new style of filming especially in something like this which i imagine was SFM, but its really hard to tell with how refined it is

The only nitpick I have with the dead space scene is that he’s wearing the advanced suit’s helmet, but the rest of the suit is the engineer suit, but other than that they fuckin nailed it.
The part at 1:24 is some of the best animated SFM content i have seen. Amazing gibs, particles, muzzle flash, camera motion. So much effort that some people won't even notice.

I know this is meant to be funny, and it is, I love the memes. But I was too distracted by how incredible the lighting and animation work were. Above that: the camera angles and, at the top: the uses of the "cinematic bars" that not only gave every shot a simulated tilt, but allowed some elements to pass in front for extra depth and, at the giant robot explosion, help guide the sight even more. I wanted to laugh, I really did, but I was too busy trying to pull my jaw off the floor at how awesome this was! The whole thing was incredible! A pinnacle of the classic tf2/Gmod humor brought to modern tastes with incredible animation and camera work. I wish I could rate this higher than a +1, it's so much more than that.
the scene with the heavies running at the base is unironically incredible. shot composition, the expressive movement, astounding for what essentially boils down to an elaborate shit post. dude, you got some serious skills.
I absolutely ADORE how this video plays with letterboxing, making it tilt and move and having some characters in front of/behind it, it’s an incredibly unique visual touch that I rarely see anything else do and it really gives this video its own distinct feel.

Actually this is why they are taking so long they are turning all this into real game abilities the part where they are bulletproof is a new melee no way to do damage with it but completely bulletproof and after absorbing enough damage you can run real fast
Memes and jokes aside, as someone who adores animation, seeing the extremely stretched Heavies in the credit sequence makes me appreciate the animation even more. I dunno how to exactly describe it but there's just something amazing about applying the squash and stretch on SFM.
Twist: that’s not just an animation technique, they’re actually canonically stretching like that and the camera positions just coincidentally made it hard to notice Gomu Gomu no Heavy
4:46-4:53 is a few of the most terrifying seconds I've ever seen. The futility of closing those doors, just to have a demi-god tear open the flimsy metal and laugh with glowing eyes, and your last attempt at defense being the very thing that kills you.
