- Adding a green terror cichlid (Andinoacara rivulatus) to my 90 gallon cichlid aquarium! This new cichlid tank is filled up, aquascaped, and stocked with fish! The green terror cichlid joins the convicts and jack dempsey cichlids in this 90 gallon aquarium. Probably not a surprise given my fishkeeping history, but hope you like it!
The Aqua Decor 3D background looks incredible in this tank and really stands out amongst my classroom aquariums. The 90 gallon footprint was perfect for this background, setup, and stocking I had in mind. This cichlid tank is going to be one of my favorites for a long time!

Convict cichlids were my introduction to keeping cichlids years ago. I've been finding myself tempted to keep them again. But I don't miss figuring out what to do with five billion convict fry.

Cloudiness was a small bacteria bloom, no worries.
Odessa Barbs are great! Love the red coloration and a great choice as dithers when those cichlids grow up. Excited to see where this tank goes

JD’s are awesome fish, very pretty. I just got a young male (5 inches) for my 90 gallon along with 3 swordtails. He’ll just be a wet pet in there for now, maybe I’ll get him a female soon who knows.
My 125g has a 4.5 inch male Red Devil with 7 Serpae Tetras.
I have a short body green terror and I love it. One of my favorite fish. And my short body red Texas

Beautiful set up! I tried getting a GT and JD in my 125 (with a group of geo pyrocephalus/tapajos) and the JD, despite being the smallest, was a nightmare! He had to go, was taking chunks out of the GT’s fins. I have an EBJD but the standard JD remains on my wish list. Maybe one day…

Quinn, The tank looks amazing with the scape and the aqua decor. Too bad you can’t get your hands on the true Green Terror Aequidens rivulatus or the A. Stalsburgi. They are a beautiful cichlid especially with their white dorsal fins. I used to have four of them in a 360g with other cichlids and they got along well.
Not sure what area your in Quinn but datz cichlids and reptiles in McHenry has a huge batch of the roselines in stock at the moment

I got a tank full of texas cichlid babies you can have for free 😂 things are breeding machines!
I bought a tiny gold saum about 4 months ago....he's in a 40 gallon.....by himself and for good reason....hes a maniac....I tried a firemouth, no dice, tried a Geo, no dice...he would attempt to kill anything I put in there....I wanted a friend for him in the 40 but I just isnt gonna happen.
I have a Green Terror, Jack Dempsey, Severum, Blood Parrot, Oscar, Silver Dollars and Pleco in my tank. They are all juveniles and getting along fine. What do you think?
