Hell Ya Troy! I'm super excited also. The blues look great in there with their fabulous scape. I can't wait to see the big boys in there myself. I hope you show some transfers also. I love how your finished out the doors and trim. Looks sleek. It fits the room which is perfect for filming but also there is lots of room left for family living and functions. What show pieces all the tanks are. Congratulations on completing this massive build and enjoy. Love and Peace.
Amazing tank an so cheap. You should be really proud of the work you've done. Can not wait to see it with the sting Ray and the fish from your 180 gallon. Plus already looking forward to what you're going to do with the 180.
Very well done, Troy. I'm sure this is such a huge accomplishment to get this all done. Everything looks great! I've been following this video series since the beginning!
ive wanted to do this for YEARS.. waaay back.. 2002 or so.. it was all over MFK.. its always been something ive wanted to do. congrats man, looks great
This here my friend is exactly what you want your build to look like!!... I absolutely hate when I see them make it too big and it ends needing wood in the front for brace... An aquarium should be 100% visible glass/acrylic, clean with NO OBSTRUCTIONS.... Perfect.. great job ❤
After months of patience and your Hardwork the end result is fantastic bro..I must say you and your wife must hit the gym regularly since both of you are in good shape . Can't wait for the next update regarding the transfer of fishes❤🎉😊😊😊
Have completed a similar project - 1,700 litres. self build filter and lights, overflow with drip water feed. A lot of work but satisfying. next job is to build a stud wall around so it is in it's own room with viewing window. Discus and other amazon fish very happy.
“I’m in debt up to my eyeballs” 🤣🤣🤣 Bro I remember that commercial from like 20 years ago!!! How did you remember that??? And what was that commercial about??? Excellent find!!!
Your wife is a Saint,IN OUR HOME MY HUSBAND IS,P.HES LOVE MY HOBBY BUT AT A DISTANCE.HE LOOKS AT THE FISH.I HAVE BEEN DOING THIS FOR 45 years. give up the hobby as we retired and traveled and as soon as we were homebound permanently prior to the pandemic, I started up again promising not to go more than 135 in any room .WE NOW HAVE 6 tanks that WE ENJOY.ALONG WITH OUR 1/2 average pond of 60 koi.❤THEY ARE 3 years old and some are 18 inch’s starting at 3 inch .cost to feed about 200 a year as MICHIGAN WE NEVER FEED IN COLD MONTHS. Obviously the pond is not crystal clear but they come to the deck when the food comes out like a puppy. remember as we grow older and you’re just a young man our priorities can change..for now GOD NEVER Promises us a tomorrow so enjoy what makes you happy.even a 10gal can be so much joy
Awesome job, must definitely trim the excess sealant. And an extra wave maker will give you the water agitation to create ripple effect for your lighting 👍☹️
Sooo Awesome!!! wow way to keep going on such a huge project. It looks great!! and your super chick is ripped lol I loved watching your journey. It's totally a dream tank man!! I have a 150 that I want to take with me to my new apt. but I'm not sure if the floor can handle the weight...I'm hoping i can get under the floor and reinforce the floor. crossing my fingers. thanks again it was a great journey. thanks for sharing.
Need gate valves on your overflow to create a siphon. Then it will be silent. You have to eliminate the water sound!! Very cool tank!! Did you consider using Low-E (Starfire) glass? The clarity difference between regular glass and Low E is significant.
Considering the cost difference the amount you saved is well worth it. Not to mention all the knowledge you gained from building it. My thing is, if you have to move, how are you going to get it out?
Wow it looks awesome! Congratulations that was a lot of work! Can´t wait to see your cichlids swimming in that huge aquarium, they are going to be very happy! As for the stingray, I´m not sure the sharp rocks are a good idea for them, they might scrape on them
Amazing job, especially for a first time...random question but is your house your forever home? Lol can't even imagine trying to move all your tanks, not even sure if this 500 gal can be moved outta here...incredible job on the build!
Fired Up Response to my comment on needing an update, I thought I was lucky enough for reply. I’ve enjoyed watching this build and can’t wait to see the future inhabitants.
The aquarium looks great. The trim really does make a big difference. The tank is so deep I don’t think you’d even notice the bubbles if you have to go the air stone route. I feel a little bad for the juvenile Acara though. I have a feeling they’re going to get downgraded to a smaller tank soon.

Thank you, really appreciate it!
That's an incred price for that size of a tank. I'm inspired, thank you!
The end result is stunning! Great job, Troy and thank you for sharing this journey! cheers.
Thanks for watching!
Looks great Troy 👌🏼👌🏼
It looks so clean now with the framing.

Turned out great! Costs are not that bad either!
this is appositely insanly nice looking good job exited for updates!
Finally finish. The tank looks fabulous. You can pay more than that for a custom tank and a much smaller tank. Great job.
Looks good man
The 500 gallon tank is looking pretty good thanks for the update video can’t wait till the next video with the fish in it and the stingray 👍
The "I"m in debt up to my eyeballs" had me cracking up. Tank is sick!
great looking tank!
Thanks for being honest about true prices. Many youtubers quote prices that they seem to remember from 10 years ago.
Congrats on a job well done couldn't wait for this one looking forward to seeing the stingray 🎉👍👍
The world would be a much cheaper and better place if more people built their own projects.
Very well done, Troy. I'm sure this is such a huge accomplishment to get this all done. Everything looks great! I've been following this video series since the beginning!
Thanks man! Really appreciate the support
Tank looks good
Hell yeah! The finished product looks absolutely amazing and the skills and confidence you must have after that will be awesome and well deserved!

The tank & sump look great. You took your time on this project and it shows. Hope this system lasts you for years to come.
Great work. You can use foam pads for sound damping. I did that with my 240 gal tank and things got quite.
Yes 🎉😂😊
So big and you’re not a pro you’re just a regular guy like us!
Finally its DONE! Great job Troy its looking awesome
Thanks so much!
Awesome job. Looks like an amazing addition to your beautiful setup!

Congratulations bro...way to go...cant wait to see all the fishes in...

Great video and awesome tank! One grand cheaper than a new 180 is crazy tho, might have to try building something myself in the future 😅
So cool definitely wanting a tank this big one day
wow your wife back is ripped! oh nice job on the tank too. thanks for the price break down!
Since you have a mitre saw already, stick a little quarter round trim in the front of the tank, it'll hide that silicon line! Tank looks awesome!
Nice
What an accomplishment, super impressive. Rambo approved.
Thank you!

Thats awesome!
I like to tell visitors ive made the stands myself when they ask but to say youve built the tabk az well too is amazing!
Right on!
Let’s go!
Epic build. the only things I would fix is how the lights form three triangular rays with dark spots in between
You have reignited my passion. "Thanks"...
That’s awesome!

Fantastic job....
This would be a great discus tank
You can use foam in your stand to reduce noise and you can get pipe insulation for your drain lines both will greatly reduce noise for low cost.
Here it is!!!!
Love your videos bro❤ keep going with your channel

I have built a couple of stands and re-sealed an older leaking aquarium and it’s a lot of fun! Nothing like this, though!
Good 👍

Awesome video. What are you going to do about lids on the tank?
Will be making some DIY lids this week before fish move over
Lovely
Good stuff man 👍
Thanks!
Looks great but the front right silicone is abit rough maybe trim off excess if possible
Considering the cost difference the amount you saved is well worth it. Not to mention all the knowledge you gained from building it. My thing is, if you have to move, how are you going to get it out?

🤔 You could stick foam on the inside of the sump doors to deaden the sounds

Thanks! And yep I plan to be here for many years. Would have to dismantle the tank if I moved
Love the build. Where did you get your glass from?
Thanks! It was a local shop called Advantage Glass Corp
Awesome! I live in Chicago, and I'm about to start a build myself.
Best of luck!
Stingray is gonna be sweet in there.
this is awesome! just curious, could you have put glass on the sides or would have been too difficult?
Thanks! You definitely can. I would consider it if I ever built another

Thanks! Plan is to keep the little guys in there with the new ones. They’re likely big enough to be okay
That water was actually fairly clear without washing the sunset gold. My 3 bags in a 55 needed to be yanked and wash again. Finally cleared up.
