- In this review, I'm going to take a look at a beer from the Resident Culture Brewing Company, and it's their No Light Without the Dark. This is a German-style Schwarzbier, and it's the first true beer that I'm reviewing on the channel from Resident Culture. I've reviewed a few collaborations that included them, but not any beers that were brewed at their facility. I've heard great things about their beer, so let's see how this one is! I also want to give a huge thanks to my buddy, and viewer of the channel, Curtis (@curtisbrause9255), for this beer!

Thanks for watching!
I really like what I've had from Resident Culture so far
Cheers Joe
Nice, Jesse! First true beer I've had from them, and it was good. I hope we see their stuff here at some point!
Cheers, man!
Nice review and a fair score! The body was a bit thin in this one but I thought the flavors were on point. This is a style I really enjoy. Just like drinking a super crispy porter.
Resident Culture makes good stuff with most of what I’ve had from them. They had a hazy called Lighting Drops with DDH Nectaron and it was easily one of the best IPAs I’ve had this year. I just loved it.
Yeah, I think this was really nice outside of the thin body. Nailed most of the characteristics I look for within the style. Crisp and smooth. Tasty beer, for sure! I've heard really good things about them, and that Hazy IPA sounds great! Maybe we'll see stuff in NY state at some point. Thanks again, duder!
Cheers, Curtis!
I've never had this, but it sounds like a good one. I'll be looking for it. Schwarzbier tends to be on the lighter, crisper side, which makes it a terrific summer dark lager, so great time to review this one. If you haven't tried Kostritzer, I'd recommend it. For me, it is the staple for the style. Another good one, brewed in WI, is called Black Bavarian from the Sprecher Brewing Co.
Kostritzer is a classic, for sure! Haven't had it in a hot minute, so I'll have to see if I can find a relatively fresh bottle to review at some point in the near future. Thanks for the recommendation, dude! I really enjoy the style, so I'm always pumped whenever I get one to review.
Cheers!
I am just here for the Schwarzbier pronunciation! Sounds like a solid beer, shame the body wasn’t a little fuller. I am like you, I prefer the dark lagers but don’t see them that frequently in general. Great review!
I try my best with pronunciations and I still suck at them, but so be it. AT LEAST I TRIED, LMAO! I will say that a lot of breweries are starting to get on the darker lager train, so I think over the next year or so, you'll see more and more. They're definitely my preference, that's for sure. Thanks, TK!
Cheers, duder!
@@averagejoe716I’m here for any beer review my brother needs to send me a can of this he lives in nc
Thanks, Brennagon! He lives in NC, eh? You should also ask him to send you some Burial Beer Co. beers! They make fantastic stuff, too.
Cheers!
@@averagejoe716what north cailina beers do you recommend from those companies
I haven't drank enough of their beers to really say, Brennagon. I just know Burial brews some good beer, as does Resident Culture.
Once you go dark - you never go back
... we're still talking about beer, RIGHT?!?
Cheers, duder!
Prost 🍻
Prost, Billy!
