Solid job man; I'll give you a pass on saying "Rye" instead of a "Canadian," as most Canadian Whisky IS Rye Whiskey (or at least a very high percentage of any blend). Cheers!
Thanks, Stephen! Honestly, I was thinking to myself that Canadian whiskey = rye whiskey, but since I really don't delve into that world much at all, I didn't want to act like I knew that. I was confident that Canadian whiskey was mostly rye, but not 100%, so I appreciate the confirmation. This was a fun one, and while I swung and missed on the exact beer, at least I got the brewery correct, haha! Thanks again for all the beers, but especially the Whodunits. They're always fun! Cheers, buddy!
4/5....I was going to go 3.5/5. But after seeing Steven's comment, saying "Canadian Whisky is Rye Whisky", it looks like i am going to have to bump it up, to a 4/5. So, maybe if you dont taste maple, dont call it out, just because you get a perceived sweetness. You were semi close on the ABV, and you got the Barrel aged. Another nice job....Cheers man.
I think a 4/5 is fair. Honestly, you could've given me 10 guesses, and I still wouldn't have said Imperial Brown Ale. Too much age on this one, plus the barrel aging, to ever think about that style specifically. I was happy that Stephen clarified that Canadian whiskey is usually rye whiskey, as that's what I thought, but I didn't say it in the review because I don't know a ton about spirits, so I leave that to those folks who know what they're talking about. Funny thing is if you go to their website or Untappd, they specify that it's Canadian RYE whiskey, so I guess I can give myself some brownie points for being right on the barrel. No maple, so the sweetness was just coming from the malt. I'm OK with how I did. 4/5 = B or B+, so I'll take it! Thanks, dude! Cheers!
That is a bummer, Billy! I think a B is a fair score, but now that I know that the Canadian whiskey is rye whiskey, I've locked in a B+ for myself. I did well, all things considered, but nothing close to the last two, haha! Cheers, buddy!
I have a Whodunit that you might be interested in. A brewery gave me a beer last week that was just canned and didn't have a name yet. I met you at Brewed and Bottled and I mentioned it to you. Are you interested in testing it?
Hey, Michael! I vaguely remember you talking about it. I'd be interested, for sure. I'm pretty busy over the next few weeks, so if you wanted to drop it off at Brewed & Bottled with Chris, I can pick it up next time I hope into the store. Just let me know! Cheers, man!
Cool, man! Thanks! I'll try to swing by in the next week to grab it. BTW, if you could somehow attach a small note to the can to let me know what it is, that'd be cool. Maybe tape it to the can so I can't remove it. I just need some information after I review it to see how well I did. Otherwise, the review won't have a conclusion, haha!
Long live Whodunit Wednesday's!!!!
Indeed! I'm sure there will be more to come at some point.
Cheers, again!
Cheers 🍻
No score, Billy? What do you think I did?
Cheers, buddy!
Happy 4th of July everyone!
Happy 4th of July, brother! Hope it's a good one.

My internet went down and couldn't finish the video so for your score a solid B cheers 🍻

@@averagejoe716 I’ll be bringing the beer over to B&B this evening. I only have two.

@@averagejoe716 we ended up drinking it. An Ontario brewery called All My Friends. It was an NEIPA called Insides.
No worries, man! Hope you guys enjoyed it.
