Hello, thanks a lot for sharing your experience. I have just installed a tow bar on my Honday Civic hatchback 8th gen following your first video about it. (I broke the same clips as you did 😂) Now, this wiring video arrives at a perfect timing so I can continue the installation. But I see you have filmed the wiring on a CR-V, but what about the Civic 8th gen ? Can't we plug directly without the by-pass box on the Civic ? The wiring management with the rear lights on the trunk is challenging on the hatchback. I have no clie where to make them pass. Advises welcome 🙏

Is the white from the towbar plug connected to the vehicles chassis for an earth?
Yes you can bolt it on the chassis too
