When you remove the glass from your art, put it back behind your print to keep it flat and fill up the gap you created removing it rather than storing all those glass inserts.
There's something about Kristen! She's so unique. Her smile makes me smile. Jesus' glow I like to call it 💕 You bring so much love & joy to this world 🥺🥲 So grateful for you! You truly put your heart and soul into everything you do 🌸
You have introduced 4 new hacks or items I’ve never even heard of. I’m obsessed with your videos. Always so informative. I’m your biggest fan. Please talk more about your total budget for projects/makeovers and maybe the timelines from start to finish for those projects including ideas/designs/moodboards. I want to learn all of the things from you for my business and you’ve taught me so much already!
Agreed!! I say we convince her to do remote ,'Let Me Help You Style Your Home' videos! We do the work. She helps with the planning. On a budget. I know I would need that for sure.
OMG! Removable headboard covers are amazing. We have an upholstered headboard in great condition but in a color that doesn’t suit our home. I’ve been procrastinating on reupholstering the headboard and now I don’t have to. Thank you!
Great ideas. My grandmother always said, I always love learning something new every day. You bring that to the table. You are so informative and enjoyable. Thank you so much.
The picture one was super along with the cord hiding kit. I need to get the paint shots and do those touch ups! Would love to hear how you hang your pictures on the wall that gets them so straight and even. I so admire your 'just do it' approach, bravo!
She uses painters tape! She puts painters tape on the back to map out where the holes go and then she puts the tape on the wall to see where to put the holes. She uses a level to make sure the tape is level.
Oh my gosh Kristen, I cannot remember which video it was, but you had recommended using Ikea Schottis paper blinds for move in day, to have in place til you select your window treatments. Just moved into a new house, and this tip save my life! the home is on a busy road and I felt immediately better once they were up. I was so grateful for the tip and for having bought them well before the move so they were in the car when we arrived. Thanks for all your great advice.
I’m now on the hunt for the socket set you’ve shown - I’ve got an old house with not enough sockets and I can’t abide seeing the trailing wires. Let’s hope I can get a UK version. Thank you.
You are my new favorite interior designer! I recently got new furniture and redesigned my den using many of the principles of design and decor hacks that you recommend. Thank you!
Remove Sticky tags - Doesn't have to be citrus essential oil. Any oil when worked into something sticky will remove it! Such as olive oil, coconut oil etc. But it might not disintigrate it. I say this because we need to be careful, most essential oils aren't safe for cats! Lavender is okay though. Wonderful video! Thank you!
I maintain that if you are in favor of mattress & pillow protectors, you can’t be against Couch Covers that are tasteful, as they serve a similar function.
Really helpful. I must watch several times and take notes. Thank you. I already restyled my study with fewer pieces and will continue the process by adding real plants and better lighting.
When using a slipcover on a non-upholstered headboard, it would be very easy to wrap the headboard with layers of quilt batting to beef it up and give it more of an upholstered look.
Mom used mattress and pillow protectors back in the day for the reasons you stated. I knew about furniture touch up. Everything else is new. I really like the outlet cover.
I'm a newer viewer to your channel. This video was seriously the best hack video I have ever seen. The paint pens look amazing, I can't wait to get some. I've seen the hide the cords thing before but you demonstrated it really well. I've seen the stain pens but didn't understand the purpose of the crayons. And taking the glass out of a picture frame, such a good idea! These hacks really are genius!! Thank you for sharing.
I have a four piece sofa cover that is fantastic! Nothing moves around. Nothing looks sloppy. The seat cushion covers just pull over the top of each cushion like a fitted sheet. Thick fabric. Many different colors. Fits perfect. Same material as the headboard cover.
OMG a headboard cover! I almost bought a new bed to change the headboard! Thanks so much! Also love the cord covers, great idea! Thanks for all the tips! 😁🌟🌟
Wow these were great! Loved the cord concealer and had no idea such an everyday essential oil could do that! Ive used eucalyptus oil for that before but I have a feeling the lemon would work better.
Omg! Kristen, you rock! So many useful hacks - my jaw drops! I always think about little house hacks, and been absolutely taken away today by learning about wax, touch up pens and essential oils! Just makes me feel so good! Huge thank you!
You can also take clear acrylic glaze and paint the prints to create the look and texture of a painting after removing the glass. It makes a print look like an original oil painting.
i'm so glad you high-lighted those markers and crayons. i worked in furniture repair as a youngster and these were always in our arsenal. the museum wax i was also familiar with but had not thought to use it to keep drawer organizers in place. loved all but one of your tips; as i'd use nail polish remover to get sticky tag debris off an object, because it's so much cheaper. really useful content overall. and so many of these ideas we actually new to me and i watch quite a few of these home improvement/decorating channels.
Thanks for the tip about the headboard covers! I need a new mattress but my divan is looking a bit grubby, we have a German shepherd, and I'm bored with the headboard. Instead of buying a new bed, I can replace the mattress and get matching headboard and divan covers xx
Good question. Perhaps you can just store it underneath the picture in the frame instead of on top? That way you won't have to worry about protecting it.
That paint pen is genius thank you ive been avoiding doing touch up paint spots because of the hassle of getting all that stuff but now I'm ordering two of those pens now thank you
The headboard cover is great -- didn't know those existed. Was thinking of getting a new upholstered one, but I have allergies, so a cover is great because I can remove to clean!
The headboard covers can be made to look more luxurious by laying and underpad of foam first. Or one more step. See the underpad to the cover with large buttons to look tufted.
Thank you soo very much for these fresh ideas! Especially the sleek socket. I have several outlets in a small room that are behind furniture and difficult to plug in or disconnect. I didn’t even know many of these existed 😱
I have a great hack for the stickers on things. Use your blow dryer it loosens up the sticker and it comes right off no need for cleaning. Thank you for all your videos they are super fun and practical.
I love my removable bed frame cover! Look at it everyday while making the bed and think, Best Buy ever from Amazon. Totally matched my new apt bedroom for so little money.
Def getting the museum wax! Especially living in California (earthquakes!)… Also the sleek cord cover is great! Pillow covers… paint pens 🖊… I need it all 😂
The cord cover. What a find. The paint touch up pen and the head board cover. Must trys for me. Let’s hope I can find them in Australia. Postage from the US is a killer.
Wow! Lots of things I need to try. I've been wanting to paint my scratched up headboard. But what a pain; remove, sand, paint etc. A cover is the perfect solution. I have museum gel that I use for things I display in printer box shelves. Never thought of using it drawers!

Watching it 🌸
Paint pens?! Who knew! So cool.
uuuu
😊😊
Please share the link for sleek sockets .
When you remove the glass from your art, put it back behind your print to keep it flat and fill up the gap you created removing it rather than storing all those glass inserts.
What about UV, doesn't it ruin colors over time if not protected? 🤔
It would absolutely expose the pigments to UV light damage if it has sun exposure. However, this can also happen through glass.
Wow!!! This is the BEST video I've seen in a long time for hacks!! Thank you for sharing.
Hi Jen
The paint pens are mind blowing !
Hello
I LOVE the Sleek Socket...and it's already on my Amazon List!! THANKS
Hi Kay
The cord concealer and museum wax are two things that I will be trying in the not too distant future...thank you for posting!
Hi Christine
I didn't know any of these hacks except for the mattress/pillow protectors. Just amazing! Loved this video!!!!! So so helpful.

Hi Danika
Great video! All the products are great. I put almost all of them in my Amazon list to buy later. I also bookmarked your Amazon store. Thank you!
Hi karen
I had no idea that there are headboard slip covers 😳💗
Ps your home is beautiful 💝
Hi stefanie
I've been watching interior decorating videos for YEARS now, and yet the headboard slip covers and outlet cover extension cords actually made me gasp!
I’m now on the hunt for the socket set you’ve shown - I’ve got an old house with not enough sockets and I can’t abide seeing the trailing wires. Let’s hope I can get a UK version. Thank you.

As for using Museum Wax, poster putty would do the same thing & not leave any oil stains.😉
Excellent video! Thanks for sharing 😊 Your hard work is so appreciated! ❤

Great tips especially the cord tip
When using a slipcover on a non-upholstered headboard, it would be very easy to wrap the headboard with layers of quilt batting to beef it up and give it more of an upholstered look.
Yessss, I was thinking the same thing 👍
SLEEK SOCKET!!!! A total game changer for me.
Super!
That plug cover is awesome. Thanks for all the great ideas
Is this THE best video of hints and tricks you have ever done? Everything is genius Kristen! Great ideas - thank you so much. xx
This is easily one of my favorite videos you've done. Thank you!
The headboard cover, the outlet shield cover and the wax to secure items in place. Great hacks I didn't know about but need. Thx Kristen
Mom used mattress and pillow protectors back in the day for the reasons you stated. I knew about furniture touch up. Everything else is new. I really like the outlet cover.
Ditto for me.

Thanks these were great. The socket disguised is great and taking off the glass on pictures.

OMG a headboard cover! I almost bought a new bed to change the headboard! Thanks so much! Also love the cord covers, great idea! Thanks for all the tips! 😁🌟🌟
Hi kanases
Wow these were great! Loved the cord concealer and had no idea such an everyday essential oil could do that! Ive used eucalyptus oil for that before but I have a feeling the lemon would work better.
Thanks for sharing Kristen. I love the frame hack where the sun shines on the glass. Very clever to just take the glass out.
Omg! Kristen, you rock! So many useful hacks - my jaw drops! I always think about little house hacks, and been absolutely taken away today by learning about wax, touch up pens and essential oils! Just makes me feel so good! Huge thank you!
Hi daria

LOVE the museum wax!! I’ve never heard of it before!!! I wish I knew about this years ago when my girls were little!!!! Thanks for the great tip!!
Love the paint pencil! Ordering then now !
You can also take clear acrylic glaze and paint the prints to create the look and texture of a painting after removing the glass. It makes a print look like an original oil painting.
I've watched so many home design/decor videos but your channel is a breath of fresh air, Kristen. Subbed and liked. Still watching...

i'm so glad you high-lighted those markers and crayons.
i worked in furniture repair as a youngster and these were always in our arsenal.

Love the idea of taking out the glass for printed art, so simple but really makes a difference
I didn't know about the paint pins definitely getting those and also moving the outlet omg that is a amazing share, that is must have.
I love your channel! I’ve never heard of museum wax! Good to know!
Thanks for the tip about the headboard covers! I need a new mattress but my divan is looking a bit grubby, we have a German shepherd, and I'm bored with the headboard. Instead of buying a new bed, I can replace the mattress and get matching headboard and divan covers xx
Smart museum wax, cord cover, & glass off frame! Curious, do you store the glass for another time/frame or toss out?
Good question. Perhaps you can just store it underneath the picture in the frame instead of on top? That way you won't have to worry about protecting it.
@@dionnew7994 THANK YOU, Dionne. I just now did it, safely stored the glass behind the artwork. Great idea!
@@Shakashack2022 You're welcome. Glad it worked out 👍
Wow! I need everything in this video, including a new mattress, but the museum wax is a game changer. Thanks, Kristen.

I like the hack of taking the glass from frames to take away the glare.
The headboard cover is great -- didn't know those existed. Was thinking of getting a new upholstered one, but I have allergies, so a cover is great because I can remove to clean!
Omg the essential oil trick is amazing!!!
Store brand dental adhesive will keep things from moving such as the drawer inserts and other items for a fraction of the price of the Museum Wax.
Walk socket was my fav!!! I need that one!!
The headboard covers can be made to look more luxurious by laying and underpad of foam first. Or one more step. See the underpad to the cover with large buttons to look tufted.
To remove labels, a light scrub with sterile wipes like dettol or glad wipes etc work quite well.
Thank you soo very much for these fresh ideas! Especially the sleek socket. I have several outlets in a small room that are behind furniture and difficult to plug in or disconnect. I didn’t even know many of these existed 😱

Love the plug covers.
Cable concealers are a gemmmm. Was looking for something like this!!!!
I love the museum wax.
Hadn’t seen the outlet cover. Love it
I have a great hack for the stickers on things. Use your blow dryer it loosens up the sticker and it comes right off no need for cleaning. Thank you for all your videos they are super fun and practical.
You are genius. Stay happy
The cord concealer is great.
Hi ms.Kristen i like the home decorative
I've used Goo-Gone and WD-40 to successfully remove stickers. I love that cord hider idea! I've been using zip-ties to conceal cords.
The last one was the most helpful for me oh, but they were all very good.
love the Power point & cord concealer - never seen that in South Africa!!
I just bought a sleek socket cover thingy, where has that been all my life?! 😅 I hate seeing cords! Thanks for that tip! 😄
Hi Cynthia
I am ordering museum wax right now! I never knew about this product before, genius!

Greart Ideas, I need the socket cover and I am going to take off the glass on my gallery pics! =]
The cord cover. What a find. The paint touch up pen and the head board cover. Must trys for me. Let’s hope I can find them in Australia. Postage from the US is a killer.
