Happy Sunday everyone!!💗 I hope this video gives you some easy decorating tips you can use in your home to make it look custom and luxurious for less! Which idea do you need to implement into your home??
I think the Picture Lights are a lovely idea and will elevate my wall art pieces! I never thought of that before so thanks Kristen!🥰 Also the DeeBit X1 Plus - I added it to my Mother’s Day wish list!
It’s such a blessing you are here on UA-cam 🤩 Kristen has the power to motivate and inspire others. When I watch your videos, your positivity radiates and reflects onto me 💕 You are such a warm soul, one of a kind!🥺
I love your videos. You and the House of Valentina are my 2 favorite interior design channels to watch and gain knowledge and inspiration from. God bless you, Kristen.
Screw-less wall plates are a game changer and the vacuum has become a must! Grouping pieces is something I already do and works wonderfully! Thrifting is awesome. Picked up two mahogany night tables yesterday for much less than the price of manufactured wood pieces sold today. Thanks for your advice.
As a minimalist the coffee table books is way too much for me I like them on the shelf. But the added kitchen cupboards is the best idea before I paint my cupboards. Thank you 🙏🏻
Same here. What I did with my kinda two tiered coffee table is putting two books on the second layer so i got that feeling but also the empty tabletop above.
I love watching your videos snd have used many of your tips and tricks. You are positive without being preachy. And I love how passionate you sound when discussing what you like👋👋
I just love your videos Kristen! I watch every single one and they help me so much with designing all the spaces in my home. I also appreciate that you provide so many examples so we can really envision it!❤️
That upper cabinets tips is such a great idea!! Yes. so agreed with your about the small details, so many people neglect the smallest details that's most of the time really change the end result. Thank you for all the great tips.
In the midst of renovating my kitchen and I do have the top space and didn’t even think about doing that. Like it’s already a wasted space I might as well make it look luxurious! Thanks!!
A new comer, love your videos! You cover so much info unlike Some others similar to you who spend too much time being silly or adding too much personal information. You are so very practical and right on the money with your information.
Giving me ideas Kristen! Especially the one with the kitchen cabinets. We have a space above the cabinets already there with the wood but adding crown molding might be pretty with it ☺️
This video was so helpful to me. I’m helping my niece and nephew decorate their new home and didn’t have ideas but this was so great. I love the picture light idea and the grouping of the coffee tables. Thanks so much!
Thank for always giving such great inspiration. I took your suggestion and moved two matching small cabinets in my dining room together to make one large piece of furniture/buffet look. It sparked a refresh in the dining room. Thank you for helping me refresh the space. Love your videos.
Such wonderful ideas! Thank you! I was wondering if you can post about decorating an older historic home (10' ceilings, large wood baseboards and staircases, furnishings with old style fireplaces)?
What many people don't realize, is that the way homes were built many years ago MADE SENSE. The Kitchen Cabinets went to the ceiling. Wardrobes and dressers were built into rooms. Space was made use of by beautiful arched built in bookcases. Built in window seats that had storage. Built in China Cabinets, Hutches in the Dining room. It's crazy and ridiculous that good design principles went by the wayside.
I just found your channel recently. You have many great ideas. Just some FYI about using the Eco floor cleaner. We recently put all new flooring in our home & we bought one, just to be on the safe side I called where we bought it from to make sure it was safe to use on the floors, they checked with the manufacture & they said no. They don't warrenty the floors if you use it. Bummer! We loved it.
Thanks Kristen as always for your expert advice on home decor. The curtain tip to hang as high as possible is one I implement in my home. Do you have any recommendations on window treatment in a bedroom that blocks light and maintain heat in the winter for windows that are approximately 30-35" short in Height? If I add long curtains, it gives off a funeral home look given the ceiling is low. I have curtains that I've balled up tucked on the sill to give it coverage within the window frame but it's such a home decor eye sore. A short curtain gives of a kitchen look. Help. Any tips?
Wow I have to say, having being retired from interior design… Your videos are very informative, like wow Oprah lightbulb moments! Excellent tips and video!
Great tips Kristen!! I think I might invest in a Deebot. It looks like it would work better than a Roomba. We had two Roomba’s, won’t be buying another! Thanks so much! 😊
I think this is the best video on UA-cam!!! A few weeks ago I decided to look into picture lights ( funny my older brother has had them for years ) I love the idea of two furniture pieces 100 % agree about the curtain panels one of my pet peeves is seeing a window with one curtain or 2 and when they close it looks sickly lol I didn’t know about the screwless wall plates 🤯 My only diy IKEA hackis buying two white VITTSJO and painting them gold because Etagere’s are too expensive. Amen to the kitchen cabinets, coffee table books, cleanliness and now my Roomba seems kind of Flintstones compared to your vacuum
Yours design and ideas are great inspiration I love to watch yours videos . Can I asked you what color paint you use on your living room , hard to find the right white tone color
Since retirement last year I am doing one room at a time and your videos are so inspiring. Keep up the wonderful video’s and thank you. I had procrastinated for so long and am now enjoying making my home almost new.
You're so right about picture lights. When I was in my very early 20s, my much older sister-in-law did that in their home and it looked so amazing. She was super thrifty and handy, so I know it didn't cost her a lot. Funny story -- when I slept over, it would take her 15 minutes to go around and turn off all her little lights. Anyway, I did pick up her lighting lessons, but I've never done the picture lights. But now I'm moving into a new home and I'm going to do some picture lights for sure!
I had kabinets which came to the celling before and i did not like them, i found they looked so heavy, so when i did my new, pretty wooden green kitchen now, i went for cabinets with a very big gab of about 35cm above and i really like how it looks now.
Can you tell me what the paint color is in the kitchen on the cabinets? It reminds me of Benjamin Moore Rockport Gray. Would love to know what that color is! Thank you
Do you have any recommendations for lighting for a modern home office and contemporary bedroom. I loathe ceiling fans and need to replace them. Thanks Kristen!
Interior Designer term for Upper Cabinets is Hanging Cabinets and for bottom is Base Caninets. We don’t usually say it as Upper cabinets and Lower Cabinets though
I love your videos! They are so helpful in making your home beautiful and updated with simple things we can do ourselves. Thank you! And your makeup is gorgeous. Could you share what you use and the colors 😊
Hi I enjoy your videos however I’m not sure that I agree with your suggestion of a soffit wall covering above the kitchen cabinets. We have just renovated our kitchen and we removed the soffit above the kitchen cabinets. It gave a dated look. We decided against kitchen cabinets in the area above the existing kitchen cabinets because they would be so high and completely an inconvenience. Our kitchen is a normal size kitchen. When removing the soffit and carrying the brick style backsplash up above the ceiling it made our kitchen look and feel bigger. It looks updated and very stylish. My husband and I do not regret removing the soffit wall above our kitchen cabinets and leaving it open. The varied shades of tan brick backsplash carried to the ceiling makes our ceiling look higher and the room feels bigger. And the room is definitely not dated. I think the soffit wall above the cabinets is a dated look. And small cabinets above the existing kitchen cabinets is a big inconvenience. It would require a step ladder staying in the area or always having to go get the step ladder. Something to think about before going with that decision.
I got a Shark Matrix Robot Vacuum to test for Shark Ninja. As much as I like that Robot Vacuum, It does have some flaws. It’s round design & short side brush, prevents it from cleaning corners & along baseboards thoroughly. It also misses some dirt on floors & can’t always pick dirt or lint from carpets. For as expensive as they are, they need Improvements. I’m just grateful that I didn’t have to buy it. I find I still have to use my corded Bissell upright vacuum to get the rest of the dirt missed.
Happy Sunday everyone!!💗 I hope this video gives you some easy decorating tips you can use in your home to make it look custom and luxurious for less! Which idea do you need to implement into your home??
Watching it 🤍
Can you link some of the picture lights?!
Question is it best to hang curtains straight across or on each window...I have 3 windows in my bed ...but I do want that expensive look....blessings
I think the Picture Lights are a lovely idea and will elevate my wall art pieces! I never thought of that before so thanks Kristen!🥰 Also the DeeBit X1 Plus - I added it to my Mother’s Day wish list!

We are about to redo our kitchen and I am about to tell my husband he HAS to build those cabinets all the way up. What a difference!
It’s such a blessing you are here on UA-cam 🤩 Kristen has the power to motivate and inspire others. When I watch your videos, your positivity radiates and reflects onto me 💕 You are such a warm soul, one of a kind!🥺

Kristen I have the same cleaning system I think ours is Roomba and I agree… total Game Changer. I suffer wit major back problems and this is so nice.
How much did yours cost?
Giving me ideas Kristen! Especially the one with the kitchen cabinets. We have a space above the cabinets already there with the wood but adding crown molding might be pretty with it ☺️

I like the multiple curtain idea and the flat switches

I know it’s off point, but what lipstick or gloss are you wearing? It’s gorgeous!
Great video! Wondering if the Roomba style vacuum systems suck up phone charger cords or curtains which are floor length??
