    I'm a car guy and i really didn't expect it to work i just went to the garage and used my 22mm bang it on then use my breaker bar and whala" it work .....much love broh)))

    THANK YOU it worked after trying several 22mm sockets with my local mechanic- the longest matt black hardened steel worked. The short chrome sockets did not work, so Id say the longer sockets are great for this exercise. Many thanks from JAEN in AUSTRALIA

    Nice job. I just had to do this just now, as a local garage had lost the little special nut last time they did her wheels. No more special nut just normal 17mm old school ones now. Thanks Stephen

      I can almost guarantee u it wasn't "lost" I've done some asking around with local bmw owners n it seems a few people had the same experience of the shop "losing" the key lug nut.

    Perfect! That is the EXACT situation I am in! Just got this E90 from auction with no key! Going to bust them out and replace with a new set of lug bolts!

    Used 22mm long reach socket took all 4 off as shown in 5mins thanks bmw520d 07 plate, thanks for your video I even used small hammer done job mint 👏 👍

    You know what I was just actually watching a video of a guy working on a motorcycle and I absolutely hated the fact that there were things that were actually really complicated and hard that would take over 15 minutes and he made it sound like it was 10 seconds and no big deal at all but your video was very realistic and of course what you did would really work in real life I've done things similar to that I think it was very realistic and you are actually great at explaining that too

    Mine is a 2012 x3 and the lock key broke off and the rest of the lug nuts are not moving either . Will this method work?

    I ended up having key stuck inside the safety lock nut and sheered off. Is it better to use 7/8 6 point deep impact socket or 7/8 12 point deep impact socket?

    When I put the 22 socket on it doesn’t fit it’s loose so it’s not the right size ??

    This worked like a charm! Thank you so much for this video! Now how do I remove the nut from the socket so I can remove the remaining lockers from the other wheels? Or do I I have to buy a new 22 socket?

      If you do this professionally, a weekend warrior or “steal tires” for a living by trade . I would recommend buying “Snap On”. If you wear out the socket just send it back it for free replacement for abuse of tool. 😅😂❤

      Just tap the socket like a Stephen did back and fourth. The 22MM is only used on the lock lug. The other lugs are 17MM

    Can you reuse the security bolt or does it become damaged?

      Yes you can reuse the bolt because you are grabbing the outside of it. No damage to the security pattern.

    I used a short 22m from Halfords.. Lifetime guarantee on most tools if it breaks

    Your rim is very badly damaged, thanks for the tip, single 6 point HEX impact socket is the type your using, multi HEX 12 point deep sockets are cheaper, thanks for the video
