Afrikaans was established by the so-called Coloureds as they were trying to emulate the language of the Dutch. So in all honesty Afrikaans is not the Boers language but Coloureds language. The Boers adopted it from Coloureds. Interestingly one should also ask how did coloureds come into being?
Afrikaans came from their slaves which included coloureds. So before the coloured population arose the language was being "developed" it's the Dutch the african salves were speaking as it wasn't native to them it became somewhat different from 17th century Dutch overtime the coloured population grew and adopted and developed it more. Remember over 80% of modern afrikaans is still Dutch. Coloureds came from interracial unions that happened between Europeans, Africans and Asians, simply put.

We all must be taught in one language, no one Should have an unfair advantage over the other. We also cannot have jobs that says only for Afrikaans speaking or Afrikaans taught must apply .
Native English speakers do have an advantage over second-language speakers in that regards. And there are jobs that are preserved solely for BBBEE candidates in any company that does business or seeks contracts from the government, regardless of the past if Afrikaans people didn't turn to the private sector and act nepotistically, then most Afrikaans people would not have jobs, not to mention where Afrikaans people live is more expensive to live in comparison to a township, so living on the income grants would not suffice. If Afrikaans people did not operate this way we'd be completely crushed, and that's politically correct in this country so nobody would say anything. Many people who talk about Marxist economics don't understand that material conditions lead to social and cultural attitudes, and in this case the material reality forced Afrikaans people to diverge from the public due to the material necessity thereof.

1:49:05 Orania claims to isolate based on culture rather than race, but this argument falls apart when examining other regions in South Africa. Provinces like Limpopo, Mpumalanga, and KwaZulu-Natal are predominantly influenced by specific cultural groups and often operate under traditional chieftaincy systems. However, these areas are home to individuals from various cultural and racial backgrounds. Residency is not conditional on cultural or racial conformity, and while minorities may adapt for familiarity, this does not justify creating a counter-dominance or insulating themselves against the broader community. In summary, Orania's rationale for its existence is a false narrative rooted in division, not cultural preservation.

It was only when boer urbanisation showed the poor white problem that they realised that so many of these Dutch descendants could no longer converse in DUTCH that they accepted "the kombuis taal". They stole this language and identity from the people of the cape who started to "trek" up north to avoid european persecution. They thus called themselves Afrikanders meaning "African". Second class citizen? What's that really? If second class means getting the same salary for the same work and qualifications amongst black and white. Then, we want it to be so.
If second class citizen means acknowledging all the people who have went to university and have travelled the world but cannot be heard in offices of influence because of their skin tone. Then yes, be second class.
Maybe then you'd understand our plight as black people and do much, much more to notify your brethren of the injustices youre currently blind to.
Afrikaans was established by the so-called Coloureds as they were trying to emulate the language of the Dutch. So in all honesty Afrikaans is not the Boers language but Coloureds language. The Boers adopted it from Coloureds. Interestingly one should also ask how did coloureds come into being?
@@will9751 🙄
I'm sorry to say this but you're so stupid. Go do your research.

I think we need to take note of the advancement of the afrikaners;we too as Africans we can tackle poverty only if we are serious about our development;leaders such as Steve Biko showed us ;we can't keep on wanting to be always want to be part of other cultures;especially in south Africa. Tnx.

Its good what they're doing to look after their CULTURE and their People
Exactly what Us as Africans who should Do, Look after one another in all means possible, fight corruption and theft END Poverty to Our People, particularly Black Natives and be one 🇿🇦

Afriforum se ****Let us not confuse ourselves here. There are no WHITE AFRIKAANERS. That is a misnomer. Research Jagter Afrikander ! These dutchmen they are TREK BOERS of dutch identity. thats why until 1925 the official languages of government were limited to English & Dutch. Give back the coloured people of the cape their language !
Does the Bella Bill restricts Afrikaners from learning with their own language?

Kallie's group has highjacked school governing bodies in model c schools to ensure that they 1: employ white teachers, 2: white administrators, 3: and limit number of African students in the schools through 1: language policy (Afrikaans and English only) and other funny criterion. He will not acknowledge this as they are hiding it in full, daylight sight! I hope Ms. Gwarhube stops taking orders from magogo and remember that she is paid by the parents, instead of the blue ribbon gang. Currently, my kids are being forced to study Afrikaans otherwise they would not be accepted. The schools they control in this manner have no plants to introduce indigenous language teaching, teachers or communication. There are no exclusive isiZulu, isiXhosa, seSotho, xiTsonga, etc., but there are EXCLUSIVE afrikaans schools. The communication is also exclusively Afrikaans! Kallie must stop lying and acting a victim, whilst they are victimising our children and bringinging politiks to schools.
"model c schools to ensure that they 1: employ white teachers, 2: white administrators, 3: and limit number of African students in the schools through" A white school with everything white is a human, constitutional, and UN right, you cannot force people onto each other, that will create more racism. You cannot stop ANY community to develop there own amenities that is schools, health institutions, etc etc. We as whites are also paying tax maybe we are paying more tan other communities so we have rights too.
Whites have cultural rights just like you with heir own amenities that is education, health, finance, etc. So you can do whatever you want to a right is a right according to the SA constitution and the UN.
We are also paying taxes so that mean we have cultural rights to our own facilities otherwise we can stop paying taxes to this criminal ANC regime.
