10 Minute Leg Workout | Lunges at Home Workout

10 minute lunge workout.
Lunges! Lunges! And more lunges! Why?
Because they are up there in my list of must do exercises for strong, defined and tight legs!
Lunges with heavy dumbbells, walking lunges, bodyweight, Bulgarians... so many variations and definitely credit these to changes I’ve seen in people’s lower body.
This is solely a lunge workout because I personally love how lunges help build muscle and definition in the legs and glutes, but aside from aesthetics they have so many benefits;
Lunges work the quads, hamstrings, glutes, and core!
They are a single leg movement so activation of stabiliser muscles lead to improved balance, stability and co-ordination.
Can help with any imbalances or misalignments you may have.
They can put less stress on spine so great option over squats if lower back issues. They also strengthen the core and back therefore helping decrease risk of injury in lower back in future.
The 10 exercises are performed for one minute then straight into the next exercise. This is follow along however just pause the movement when you need to!
The exercises are as follows:
Diagonal forward alternating lunge
Side to side
Reverse alternating
Lunge to rotational knee
Lunge to rotational knee
Forward alternating lunge w/ 2 pulses
Side lunge to curtsey
Side lunge to curtsey
Pulse lunges
Pulse lunges
The last 2 minutes is when the lactic acid really builds up and the burn rises! But push through it, you can do it!

After adding this video to my workout routine, I got defined quads in only a matter of weeks. Love this video. Very challenging. I still can't do the last pulsing lunge without resting several times.

Love this workout. Repeating it once a week and though I struggle to finish it every single time, today I noticed that I wasn't that wasted in the end.

The 1st time i did this about a year ago, i remember i couldnt even do half the time without stopping... And now year after, after done all your Epic (1, 2,3,Endgame, Heat, Beastmode, Calisthenics, Pyramid, Tempo and the rest of your programs...i did this again as an add on for Day 1 IRON program and i never thought i could do the whole moves without stopping!😳😍

Little extra burn for legs after HIT. This one is a good one!!! Short but very effective!!! Her bodyweight sessions are the best. I have done all of them so many times over and over and each time they are just as hard. So good!!!

The best workout for legs I’ve ever done! I do triathlon and these 10 min WK every day was exactly what I needed to performe my legs!! I swear that only 10 min of this WK is better than 1h at the gym! At least that’s my experience. Now I am adding some dumbells in order to increase the intensity. And the music and, of course, Caroline’s sweet smile is a plus! Thanks again Caroline!! I am a fan!!

Hi @@azucenarevuelta9184 ! It is only 10 min and without weight lifting. For me it's ok to do it every day, but of course all bodies are different.

today doing the work and it was very challenging the last lunge workout was the hardest because i was trying to not stop but i got there at the end can't wait to do it tomorrow

Hi Caroline! That one is a really cool workout! Well, all of your workouts are cool, but this one is my favourite ;) I love INTENSE, NO REST and SHORT! There are no excuses for doing it, because in just 10 min it’s done and you are feeling perfectly sweaty afterwards!! Thanks for sharing your workouts with us, I really appreciate it! Did this as an add on to the IRON series Day 1. In my mind, I was planning on reducing the weight of the dumbells I expected to use, but I'm actually just really glad this was bodyweight. Tough but doable. I think the lack of rest makes it that much harder, but keeping moving means that I only realise how tired I am when I'm about 5 minutes in - which was basically half way in this case.

I’ve had a couple of months off due to Recovering from covid . I had got to day 45 of the epic programme and had really progressed with my strength and fitness so I was gutted not to finish it consecutively 😞. So I have been doing this along with a 15 min core or arms to get me back into things slowly. I’ll never go anywhere else. It feels good to workout again 😝👍💪
Hi Karen! I am so happy I came across your comment-finally someone I can relate to! I had been really proud of myself doing Carolines daily workouts consistently ever since halfway through epic heat. Then about three weeks ago I got covid and I feel like I've lost all my progress (if I even ever made any LOL). Hope all is well and you are fully recovered, and seeing you getting back into things will motivate me to do the same :)
