Early 2010s uk metal will always be my favorite, this song is right there in my #1 favorite spot too, i love this band so much, theyve grown and made so much good music over the last decade
Man, another one of you guys songs that I feel I heard as a child only my own mind constructing music and y'all have been able to compose what I had in my head, this and nefarious. Incredible music, my friends.
I wish John and Matt could work together again... However John seems to pull the best work out of singers for one album. This is the best work Matt has done. Amanuensis is Chris’ best work which Matt partially wrote. Hopefully Andy will follow suit with Monument’s next album. We shall see.
@@coryparsley3946 I thought that for the longest time myself but coming back.. This guy shits on everyone, somehow way more earnest.. In saying that, the amanuensis is the best album to ever exist and his Jackson influences just took it in an amazing direction. Andy had great harsh vocals and cleans but he's very pop oriented when it comes to cleans so I hate how they sound on the new album
People actually dissed this guys vocals? I think he sounds awesome! Although I haven't listened to the new singer yet, since I just found out about these guys an hour ago.
ainsleywalker I thought that Matt was THE vocalist in Monuments. He should've stayed. I do not trust this new guy they've got. His vocals are good, but not as quite as powerful as Matt''s,.
***** There were surprisingly a lot of people who were either happy or didn't care about Matt leaving. Very few fans were genuinely sad. Whereas there was quite a shit storm when "this new guy" left Periphery and was replaced by Spencer. Even though I wasn't a fan, I didn't mind Matt on record, but seeing him live was simply a let down.
Yes, there are various opinions on this. Some says that Matt sounds horrible live. Others who have seen Monuments live say the exact opposite. But I do not think that that is a problem at all. Matt was awesome in the studio.

Yeah not joking. Mike left because hes had injuries from playing drums for years and he left because wanted to take a break to heal. So they announced like yesterday that Anup Sastry joined Monuments.

Dude, yes. Also, the guitar tone is so f******g disastrous and sinister, and it was all recorded on a Line 6 Pod. I still cannot get over this song after 9 years. It is just too good.
I finally get to see these guys live in a couple of months. Didn't think they'd come to a small city in Australia. That intro is going have a sick mosh pit.

Wtf? GoPro? That is one hell of an endorsement.

Wow Kmac really nailed that solo
Yeah... He was a really "special" kid at that concert :v
Lmao
Monuments played the KMAC version of the Solo at Shefield
I'm laughing
Kmac was at Monuments when they played Techfest this year. I was disapointed they didnt ask him up on stage again to play the solo.

I completely underestimated the heaviness of that first breakdown,
I now have a hole in my wall.
The bass player's face at 3:24 is amazing.
No hate for Monuments from other eras but this first album hits a special place in my heart. I was truly bummed when I found out Matt left.
Never hit the same after that in my opinion but I’m trying to revisit
3:33 still gives me chills, such a banger!

Mikael Wilson
For some reason, I can see that happening. Him not being able to sing, that is.
Mikael Wilson I saw him live in Munich and he sounded awesome!, even spencer sotelo said everyone has there off days and he has had a few himself

Lyrics:
Free from our bonds
No longer alone
Never born we'll never die
No need for crowns
We wear the stars now
An infinite fractal of light
Every grain contains them all
Once bound by choice
There is no wrong and there is no right
The answers always clear
The spaces in between
We're choosing now to change
We see the need to leave
And we openly know where we belong
Justice will prevail as the regimes fall
The regimes fall, the regimes fall
The regimes fall
Nothing's ever been this clear
No one needs to feel alone
And the change is set to seed
But we need to take this new form
Love is truly here
We just need to let it breathe
We have glimpsed a new aporia
In the moon light of our gnosis
But no sick world can grow
Its black and white evolve
Dreams are like disease, no wars, just regenerate
Why can't we grow just like the new flesh?
Cheating lords unlike this new death
Why can't we grow under this new flesh?
There's no regrets for what we save!
Incredibly intense masterpiece
It always hits the right spot every time...
I wish I could listen to this again for the first time.

Wow, that's probably one of the nicest guitar solos I've ever heard - so simple and yet so beautiful :)
