We have a Skeleton who beats you then leaves you in a shed until you can beat him... a Fish throwing spears at you (a child) trying to pouch you like a fish, a Killer psychotic robot, A Spider trying to make you into food, The list goes on... that’d give *ANYONE PTSD*

This is so heartwarming. If this scene comes after a genocide reset that changed to a pacifist route (which it technically is, but the second scenario I explain later would also be wonderful), it shows that Frisk seriously regrets their previous path, and seems to think they deserve to be judged for that route. If it's just a pacifist route, it shows that Frisk has finally given into the weight that their journey holds. Their just a kid, and they're making a choice that decides the fate of the entire world, surface and underground alike. And in both scenarios, Sans decides to comfort them, seeing their distress.
Hard to believe this was just for practice. This was incredible.
This would be a cool idea to be added to the game
This is in a pacifist/neutral run which takes place after a genocide run that ended at sans' fight. Frisk gave up and gave into Sans' pleas for them to reset.
It was a halfway genocide. If it was a true genocide, frisk would no longer be frisk.

Well from other Animations I've seen when Frisk lays on the ground Sans hands them his hand to help them get up but it was a betrayal Sans instead used a bone that grew out of the ground went through their chest and killed them so This is the first time Sans actually Comforts Frisk Instead of the betrayal kill

This is what happened when a reset occurs after either getting killed by Sans, or after killing him completely in the genocide run and then going to do a pacifist

Sans doesn't remember the genocide timeline. As Sans continues to talk, Frisk realised nothing changed. Sans had no idea. He had no memory of it. Sans talking about his facial expression was the final nail in the coffin. It was too much to take. Sans was concerned and confused for their friend. Then he started thinking.
"Oh."
Opening his eyes
"THAT is what happened."
And still, Sans knowing what the situation still decides to comfort them. It's amazing the information stored just in eyes and facial expressions. You can see the moment Sans realised and the pause of him processing it.

The reason he knows when you reset or not is by literally looking at your facial expressions. He's just a god at reading body language. And then he just simply puts two and two together.
Without that ability, he's just as clueless as everybody else in the underground, except for the small knowledge of knowing its possible for them to reset.

I know someone for who this fits. They tried to do a genocide run, but couldn’t bring themselves to kill sans. So they didn’t. They stopped and ran a pacifist game all the way back just so they could try and apologize.

This doesn't fit that description. Because Frisk did kill Sans. They reached lvl 20. A few hundred times actually. They honestly need to stop being so determined on this kind of stuff.

My _HEEEEEEEAAARTTTT..._ Such a beautiful addition, both aesthetically and storywise. You could tell that Sans was kinda confused the whole time about what to do (yet you kept it so we couldn’t tell if he remembered or not, props 👏🏻 👏🏻), and you could just feel Frisk’s emotions upon being in that room peacefully. Just the memories of all that anger and rage and bloodspill... it’s written all over their face. You captured it BEAUTIFULLY. 10/10! Thanks for making me want to cry again. ;u;

God my heart broke when they hugged. I really loved how you were able to incorporate sans personality from the game into this. There’s always those times where in animations that it’s a really good animation and the stories interesting, but the personalities seem like something brand new and different from how it’s original creator made them to be.

Frisk falls down onto their knees
I feel during those few moments on sans face, you can see a mix of confusion, revelation, and anger.
As he hugs frisk his eyes are dark, which I think means he finally understood.
The hug also seems to mirror the genocide hug sans offers before killing frisk, which is a very nice detail,
The animation overall was lovely and the lighting atmosphere and tone was perfect. I’m glad that neither were actually talking like in the game, making this scene more powerful.
The guilt shown on frisk’s face when sans was saying how they’d be judged for every action, so much so to the point of collapsing. It was made even more powerful with the sound as well and the music, as the thud on the ground just felt so earth shattering leaving a sudden chill and tension.

I was squinting, thinking that it was so bright outside. Then I realised that I didn't need to squint, because the lighting was so good that it looked as if there was a sun poking through the screen
He’s so much like a dad. Or an uncle, but that relationship fits those characters so well. The father-child, or basically having Sans be a mentor character fits so well for them. It’s that form of relationship that fits these characters best.

I LOVED the way that the room was empty and then the "camera" moved ever so slightly by the pillar to show Sans! I watched that like four times. I couldn't get enough. Not to mention your animation is so so smooth. I felt like I was watching an aired show.
That’s actually from the original game, when you encounter Sans in the judgement hall, there are three pillars spaced differently than the rest, the player stops upon reaching them and the perspective shifts slightly to reveal Sans’ silhouette.
Ik it's just like the gameplay but way smoother and detailed

There are some amazing tiny bits of detail coordinated with timing. It’s pretty impressive. I watched the slight tremble of the kids legs before they collapsed on their knees, submitting and weighted by the weights of their crimes. And Sans reaction....
Reminds me that Frisk is indeed a child in all this.
I can’t tell but it seems to me that Frisk wanted to be judged by him...be friends again even for a little while longer... possibly even seeing him for the last time after this.
It’s really heavy and makes me cry.

The weight that I feel when he falls to his knees, you can feel the regret, and Sans just sits and is there for Frisk, its amazing! Keep up the good work!

Eyes, it was in his eyes. Due to camera angle the light dots weren´t visible, makeing it look like his "scary face".

So nice, and paralleled with me. I ran through a genocide run, I beat sans and couldn't finish him. I reset my game with an intense mission in mind. To do a pacifist run, give them their happy endings, and to leave when you get that final choice. It made me realize why that option was there in a different light.

But I always loved this game, and I've been feeling super nostalgic for it lately.
This is honestly the most beautiful, well animated Undertale animation I've seen. It's criminal how underrated this is!

AAA!!! So beautiful!!! So much subtle emotions!!! Even without dialogue, you can just READ what Frisk and Sans are thinking and feeling. The crushing guilt of past alternate actions, Sans' relaxed nature, Frisk's surprise at his forgiveness, and Sans' adorable confusion are so intricately animated.
And I would have cuddled up to Sans too...

I love how well animated this is and how it feels like sans and frisk are real people. Sans’s confusion and understanding and frisk’s guilt and regret that’s in them. That’s a really nice touch

Half the time it's not about how flashy and crazy and animation is. Animation is also about the spacing of each movement and giving the audience time to soak it in. Good stuff
This is a really cool moment. I love that it's like you can see exactly when Sans realizes what Frisk must have done --- but still decides to comfort them anyway. IMO that fits with what Sans has always been about as a character though. He's not vengeful. Yeah, his fight is partly about punishing you for being terrible, but it's also about trying to stop you from making a horrible mistake that will have lasting consequences for you and everyone else. I've always thought that at his core, Sans believes in the value of kindness and mercy, which are themes at the heart of Undertale. Meaning that up to the point of no return, he does believe there's hope for you. After all --- if he truly didn't care, he wouldn't bother to judge you at all or challenge you to do better.
