Great review Parker, finally someone who doesn't have apparent European bias and just reviews the car for what it is.....a luxury cruiser in the modern day world. Welcome back Continental!!!
Thank you for the Lincoln seat review. I'm not joking or being funny. Seriously, this is the first real review of the Continental that went into juicy detail. Thank you.
I can see Lincoln trying to one up the Mercedes S-Class. Just looking at their seats, it seems to me like MB would rather spend more R&D on the contour of the seats, making sure the person's body shape conforms to it, more than the electric motors, as you mentioned, and I thought MB was trying to be radical. So, are the Lincoln seats just as comfortable?
Stefan Unson I drove a black label for a few weeks, the drivers seat is about average for comfort (there are regulations that limit the "comfort" of the drivers seat) the other seats however are superb. I sat in the back seat in my driveway to test the massage and ended up falling asleep lol. My only gripe is that it's not very fast, and if you have the suspension on comfort and drive over uneven pavement..... hang on tight.
Love the positive feedback that you have for the car. One thing that I loved about it are the door handles. You did talk about them, but I absolutely loved the aural feedback that they give when you use them. You can hear the mechanisms within the door working when you use them. It kind of gives the Continental a feeling of opening the door to a car from the 1960s where you could hear these noises. It's a very mechanically pleasing noise!
The last feature- noise cancellation with 180 degree phases, stood out to me because I wear a hearing aid in one ear and a cochlear implant in the other. I only wonder if somehow the sounds don't "play" correctly with my "microphones" and only cause interference in my own hearing.
I wasn't convinced this car was worth 78grand but after seeing all the time ..thought .. And detail put into the car it is absolutely worth that price .This will be 90 grand before taxes if it had a BMW or Mercedes emblem .
I love this car! Lincoln did well at bringing back genuine, American luxury! Sure it's not as glamorous as the S-Class or 7-Series, but it appeals to those who want no-nonsense luxury and a comfortable ride!
This is the car that has convinced me the American market has turned around at long last. I actually like the fact that the Continental has subdued styling. It looks classy and not overbearing. It epitomizes the "stealth wealth" philosophy. I visited the auto expo in Miami a few days ago and spoke with a Lincoln representative. He stated that the Continental is not being phased out in the U.S. for now and there will be a suicide door version created in 2020. I desperately wish for the market to not surrender to the German, Japanese, and Korean monoliths.
+Edward the Great, I couldnt agree with you more never compare GM to Mercedes but Ford owns Lincoln not GM, so its okay. Plus Mercedes arent as nice as they were in the 1970s and 80s
I agree it's exceptional for an American made vehicle. However, what you find with American luxury once you've driven one, is that everything feels and is very cheap. The wood grain is very plastic, the leather feels fake like vynl, the power delivery isn't great, the driving experience is completely numb, and the technology is far behind. I've driven an MKS and I can tell you it's nothing special but an over glorified Ford Taurus.
ahmad hadi 5 series, e Class and a6? Shouldn't this be compared to 7 series, s Class and a8? It still kick all of their asses at once, just a bit unfair comparison?
How about the Revel audio system? When you were in the Volvo you loved that terrible bright sounding B&W system....so I would like to know what you think of an actual Audio company.
The Revel audio system was my only major complaint when I test drove a Continental Premier last month. The preset frequency range is so loaded with base that the fader does little to cut its energy range. This has been a major problem with many factory audio systems. Auto factories need to install a graphic equalizer so the owner can choose to boost or cut the energy of specific frequency ranges. That way, everyone is happy.
Guys when was the last time Ford did something innovative that was not for the F150? Give them a little credit for trying. It's a start, obviously I'm not a Ford guy but I appreciate the effort.
I've owned a Silver 2017 Lincoln Continental 3.0T AWD since it was new. Literally the most pleasing car I have ever owned. I get complements all the time and people ask if it is new. It's a shame Lincoln dropped all their sedans here in the US and only selling them in China. This is a big mistake. This is a very understated luxury car. The one thing Lincoln missed the mark on was the transmission. ^ gears is not enough. Should have been 8 - That would have increased milage and given the car more of a fighting chance to compete in the market. Still this is an amazing car. I plan to keep my Continental for road trips but will probably look to Lexus for my next luxury sedan since Lincoln no longer offers anything other than SUVs. Not everyone finds a box on wheels appealing.
Awesome as usual, most of these cars I will never have, one or two I may and it will be due In part due to your excellent reviews. Keep up the great work, as a young guy with lots of things yo do I'm not sure where you find the time to do all of this but I'm happy that you do.
Actually this car has some interesting real value.. this is the perfect car for realist agents... this is one place where you want your passengers to be comfortable and be able to hear you talk about what your selling. Plus since its a Lincoln it will not always be a distraction in the same way driving in Audi or Mercedes might be to people since those cars are for car enthusiasts..
Parker Seats are so critical to back pain but designers still have not made a chiropractor approved seat. The key to keep your sciatic nerve from becoming inflamed is to have your butt and knee level or the knee lower. The bucket seat is the worst as your butt is much lower than your knee. I sat in a 2015 Lincoln and could not get a level knee butt setting. Is it possible with these seats at your height?
Conti I was looking at was the black label and It was around 75k if I remember correctly. I know the guys at my local BMW and Lincoln dealers and BMW dropped the monthly payment for 97k car to 80k too good of a deal to pass up. Also, Lincoln said I had to wait a month for a black color black label and BMW had me out the door with brand new loaded 7 series In less than 15😂😂
my sister bought a Honda Accord hybrid v6 with active noise cancellation and the noise cancelling module had gone bad so eveytime she got up to cruising speed the car was making a very odd out of place bass noise that didn't cancel anything and when the hybrid motor kicked in it was deafening. got it fixed but I just thought that was a pretty interesting failure mode
Parker... i am a great fan of yours, as well as your channel. I would really appreciate if you would answer my question: How does the ride of the Lincoln Continental compare to a Mercedes S Class?
I had several Lincoln LS's, and have a 2013 MKS currently. My MKS has the 3.71 V6, and is the AWD. I love, love, love, and would totally buy another one if they still made them. In town I drive it on sport, and drive it regular when on the road. I want to know if the Continental Black Label with the rear seat package will allow for the back seat to lay down for cargo? I saw one video that mentioned something along that line, but wasn't clear, or showed it. I, also, would like to know what the width is on the back seat area. Most of the time when I travel I have to have two dog crates on the backseat that are 27.5 inches each. I saw where this car isn't quite as wide, and is a little bit shorter than my MKS. The trunk is a little smaller in the Continental. The Continental has more technology even though the 2013 MKS had a lot of technology for that period.
There's a $4,000 option that equips your car with Matthew McConaughey to whisper into your ear while you drive
Lol 😆! That's creepy 😳
Sometimes you gotta go back to move forward -Matthew McConaughey
Great review Parker, finally someone who doesn't have apparent European bias and just reviews the car for what it is.....a luxury cruiser in the modern day world. Welcome back Continental!!!
The bose noise canceling of unwanted sounds didn't work...I could hear you talking the whole time.
😂😂😂😂
Hahahahahaaa
Thank you for the Lincoln seat review. I'm not joking or being funny. Seriously, this is the first real review of the Continental that went into juicy detail. Thank you.
I wonder how all those electronic motors in the seats will withstand the test of time.
sam matson the people who buy it don't really care, they will buy something new after the warranty expires
sam matson the screen alone kills me. It looks like it's from a 2004 car
I can see Lincoln trying to one up the Mercedes S-Class. Probably longer than europeans?
First.
+Street Speed 717 hahaha unreal
Street Speed 717 before all the dislikes
E55 BæMG hahahahaha
Street Speed 717 Nice! 😂
Street Speed 717 hah lol
I like how the infotainment system tells you where there are good restaurants with exemplary chefs! It's like a computer concierge. Really impressed.
like in any ford with active-link?
Love the positive feedback that you have for the car. One thing that I loved about it are the door handles. The Rhapsody In Blue interior they offer on this car is gorgeous.
Really nice car, which my father got a Lincoln Continental 2017 by my advice, no regret at all.
Can i get active noice cansiling on my 9mm?
Just Games noice!
Cansiling? Dude.
*canceling
Sure, it's called a suppressor.
Just Games as soon as you spell canceling correctly
I'm a total Audi fanboy and love them to death, but damn, this is pretty impressive.
And as i suspected, Parkers hate stopped. Channel started growing again and everything is back to normal
but does it have a lemonade maker?
Interesting, I didn't know the continental was such an interesting car. I gotta check it out in person.
just saw one of these pass me driving down my road yesterday, awesome car
I've got to admit, the new Lincolns truly have me intrigued
From the front i cant decide if its a jaguar ZF or the volvo S90
Julian J
It's a Lincoln Continetal.
Julian J I honestly see a bit of Dodge Charger in front
Julian J what's a zf
Oliver i meant the XF
Maserati Quattroporte
The first 3 minutes was purely talking about the seats.. Great video Parker
andddd then he kept going on about the rear seats. Lmao
The last feature- noise cancellation with 180 degree phases, stood out to me because I wear a hearing aid in one ear and a cochlear implant in the other. I only wonder if somehow the sounds don't "play" correctly with my "microphones" and only cause interference in my own hearing.

Really interesting features. You do a great job of highlighting what many of us wouldn't even notice, Parker.
the last time i was this early parker was still in high school
Wasn't expecting to be this impressed with a Lincoln. And I'm a Ford guy.
I'm actually really impressed with this car. Lincoln is coming back!
Great video, as usual! Keep up the good stuff, you have really built a great channel :)
+David Gavrilut thank you!
I love this car! Lincoln did well at bringing back genuine, American luxury! Sure it's not as glamorous as the S-Class or 7-Series, but it appeals to those who want no-nonsense luxury and a comfortable ride!
OMG...he is wearing the hell out of those pants!!! VERY impressive!!!!
I once got a massage in the rear seat of a Lincoln Continental and it didn't cost $4000
Monthly payments for 18 years?
@@sopwithsnoopy8779 with a side of herps?
That's actually a really nice car. Lincoln did a good job making a luxury car that's not a cut-and-paste of the established Germans
This is the car that has convinced me the American market has turned around at long last.

This is one of the best luxury vehicle i've seen so far, do you really recommend it?
please make a comparison between your s class and the continental ....
Mohammed alnuaimi continental > s class
I have a 2011 Lincoln MKS, and I love it, especially the Ecoboost,
wish you would have shown exterior more and talked about available drivetrains.
this isnt the final review
Just got my 2011 MKS E-boost a few weeks ago. In love with it.
I would take the MKS any day over this Jag/Kia look alike.
MustangNthusiest Ecoboost 3.5 mks is no slouch it's a great car
Hey Parker, are you making a full review of this car?
Would you ever consider getting this over your S550
This cars luxury is higher than it's competitors by far : a6, e class, s60, 5 series.
ahmad hadi being a German fanboy, I have to agree with you
well I am a german fanboy (fanman actually) and I agree with yuo
+Edward the Great, I couldnt agree with you more never compare GM to Mercedes but Ford owns Lincoln not GM, so its okay. Plus Mercedes arent as nice as they were in the 1970s and 80s

The Black label club should come with Johnny Walker and Zakk Wylde.
How about the Revel audio system? When you were in the Volvo you loved that terrible bright sounding B&W system....so I would like to know what you think of an actual Audio company.
All that noise cancelling tech, and it's still not as quiet as a 96 Rolls Royce Silver Spur.
Parker, I really loved this video. Keep up the great work.
The Revel audio system was my only major complaint when I test drove a Continental Premier last month. This car seems really good Value for the top trim level only Costing $60,000
it's funny how the volskwagen phaeton had most of this features back in 2004. the vw phaeton is the most underrated car
Noise cancelation tech, that's next level stuff. Very cool!
You're kidding right?
Yeah the 2005 Acura RL has 2 separate microphones in the headliner front and rear for active noise cancelation, this is nothing new or innovative.
Guys when was the last time Ford did something innovative that was not for the F150? Give them a little credit for trying. It's a start, obviously I'm not a Ford guy but I appreciate the effort.
The car looks very nice from the outside it looks very luxurious even for people that know nothing about the car fantastic pice of machine.
Thank you for this video! I've been looking into this car for a while.
Great video as always Parker. Some people might not like you but I guess you are doing something right then lol. Maybe some vlogs in -between reviews?
Great video Parker. This car is really growing on me. The more I see them around, the more I like and am considering.
Your reviews are so good. I can just imagine how long it takes you to shoot all the footage without any mistakes. Respect Parker❗
+///M-thusiast Champion thank you :)
You're welcome👍
Lol at the thumbnail! 😂
Active Noise Cancelling has been in cars since the 90s and is integrated into a lot of regular cars.
the active noise cancelation i love. did you happen to tesr it out to verify the quality of it?
Getting some ASMR from Parker rubbing on the seats lmao I s2g
Amazing video, Parker!
Keep up with great reviews and don't let haters affect your work
Finally Lincoln is back in a big way. Good job Lincoln!! Great car!
Are you going to be doing a full review on this?
It is a shame that the Mercedes s class doesn't have these awesome features such as 30 way power seats
I've owned a Silver 2017 Lincoln Continental 3.0T AWD since it was new. Literally the most pleasing car I have ever owned. I get complements all the time and people ask if it is new. My grandpa has a 1964 Lincoln continental convertible
The regular continental was mass produced but the convertible there was only around 2k made
Parker Seats are so critical to back pain but designers still have not made a chiropractor approved seat. Would you say that the lincoln runs against the 5 series or the full big boy the 7 series sedan
Is an odd ball as it basically a 7 series luxury grade car but only with the size of a 5 series.
Is that sound from the mic being on the seatbelt? It's all I hear
The noise cancelling feature is so sweet!
Mr. Parker: Just keep doing what you're doing. Your reviews are great. Soon, the haters will disappear and start bothering someone else. 'Nuff said!!
MAKE SURE YOU CLOSE THE FRONT CORRECTLY
who needs a rolls royce when you have a lincoln
I Drive A 1997 Lincoln Town Car Right Now, But I'm Going To Need This Continental In The Future.
#lincolnallidrive
So my question is what happens if your in a wreck how do you get the door open with no power.
Texanminecrafter29 it has a manual pull latch under the dash like a corvette
Come on Lincoln, make a coupe again!! Nice seats!!!
Do them seats have a memory function tho? Imagine trying to find your spot again!
I love the sound the electronic door handles make when u open it
Great review! Thorough, detailed and quite comprehensive. Magnificent car!
This is why this is my affordable dream car 🙏🏻🙏🏻
Did the Lincoln engineers take into account having kids in the back seat playing with the controls
I was wondering how sleeper this could be if we put some performance improvements on it...
That interior is so nice
I'd go bat shit nuts if someone screwed with my 30 way power seat!
Parker..... when does your huracan gets the fartcans......
Dont forget to get the ones with the rainbow tips(dont know how its called)
MrTommys2001 I believe it's titanium after heat.
This is Lincoln getting serious about the Uber/limousine game.
Was thinking of getting this but went with a 740i. Got a great deal on the 740 which made it cheaper for me (even though it costs more on paper)
Conti I was looking at was the black label and It was around 75k if I remember correctly. I know the guys at my local BMW and Lincoln dealers and BMW dropped the monthly payment for 97k car to 80k too good of a deal to pass up. Also, Lincoln said I had to wait a month for a black color black label and BMW had me out the door with brand new loaded 7 series In less than 15😂😂
Haha I would think it's cheaper in Germany because it's built there?
Nah the prices for cars are actually insane over here it makes me sad :(
Ofcourse, american cars in europe have some pretty heavy enough import fees.
10 years after this vlog this car is going to be driven by an old people and its going to look just like the old continental now
awesome video, are you reviewing the rest of the car too?
Hey Parker, is there enough features in the continental to make you get one over your s-class?
that car sounds freaking insane
What was the sticker price on that car Parker?
Is a review coming for this car?
Awesome it has a wife and kids silencing system!
Most of the car interior features reminds me of my 02 Infiniti q45 and keep in mind it was made 15 years prior
I didn't even know what a lumbar was before I watched this
my sister bought a Honda Accord hybrid v6 with active noise cancellation and the noise cancelling module had gone bad so eveytime she got up to cruising speed the car was making a very odd out of place bass noise that didn't cancel anything and when the hybrid motor kicked in it was deafening. got it fixed but I just thought that was a pretty interesting failure mode
Thanks for the great vid ! I never would have known! How would you rate it overall compared to your s550?
Thanks
FM
Parker ignore the hate!!! I love your videos!!!!
a true sucessor of the lincoln town car
Parker... i am a great fan of yours, as well as your channel. I would really appreciate if you would answer my question: How does the ride of the Lincoln Continental compare to a Mercedes S Class?
+Nicholas Roche thanks! It's a bit harsher than the mercedes
I had several Lincoln LS's, and have a 2013 MKS currently. My MKS has the 3.71 V6, and is the AWD. I love, love, love, and would totally buy another one if they still made them. Great video - interesting car. There is no link to the continental in the description box below?
thanks for making video on continental
