Aren't they limited production?

Why this Lincoln is better than its crappy predecessors and is a cheap knock off of a rolls Royce

No way this is gonna depreciate like the german rivals, simply because of how few they made
Doug describing rear doors: "There's one on both sides, they are identical". You mad lad.
Zimbo on UA-cam... Yimbo?
Suicide doors are often only on one side, so not so mad after all
You can thank the Veloster for needing to tell you how many rear doors a car has.
@@evanmoonunit what modern car other than Veloster? RX-8 and Phantom are both sides
It's nice of Lincoln to include 2 back doors. Especially since the rear console doesn't allow for pass through.
Doug: “This is an amazing American luxury sedan.”
Lincoln, 2 days later: “It’s discontinued.”
Aaron Shipley ofc when that car is trash and by that car I mean regular Continental, I work for luxury car service company, those new continentals have trunk and door latch factory flaws on all were replaced twice in these 2 years and they went brand new from factory to us. Gear selector is buged often, rattling all over the place, etc... I like how they look but they are not good cars. Cadillac XTS is far better car in that class. So no wonder they discontinued this Coach Door model

You just need a year

That keypad on the drivers door is ford’s best innovation in the last 40 years. I recall my aunt bought a new thunderbird in ‘82 and it had it and it was amazing then.
I had an '04 Grand Marquis and that feature saved me from having to call a locksmith a few times.
I would agree, except for one fatal flaw: the manufacturer code. Each car has a changeable user code, and a permanent manufacturer code, which can always be used to unlock or change the user code. There are few manufacturer codes, and you can finds lists of ones to try that will quickly get you in to many Fords, or just look at the VIN and you can determine the code from that.
@@SlaughterDog as a 14 year old in 2009 I was also able to figure out the code just from context clues and common sense so ya someone can definitely figure it out

Rest in Peace Lincoln Continental; the first Lincoln since the LS that made stop and stare at it due in equal parts its understated beauty and overall rarity. You were only around for three years, we barely knew you.

Nice, I used to work for Lincoln here in Mexico, and I can tell you missed a couple things, like the mechanism that helps you turn the steering wheel completely with just a turn, maybe is not that new but tha car also have adaptive cruice control with stop and go capabilities, I work in the car industry and I´m stull surprised with the Revel audio system specially with the 21 speaker or something near that, even better than te ona found in the AMG´s, dont know the package on that they lend you but also the HUD is visible with polarized sunglasses, thats not common, the leather on the seats is grom the Swiss alpes or somewhere near there where there are no flyes so the cows never got bitten and is near to perfect, also found on the steering wheel, theres also a place on the CONTINENTAL badge on the drivers door to open it mechanically with the key inside the acces sensor.
Great Work, your channel is really cool!!!

it probably has a newspaper.
And Mary Poppins in the trunk.
The guy that will be opening your door will already have the umbrella open for you.
They should have added the door closer button like on Rolls Royce rear doors. What if you get into the rear seat and don't have a chauffeur, or they are already in the driver seat for various reasons. i.e. you have to step out quickly and back in, why wait, when you could just hit a button to close the door without having to reach out to the 90 degree extended door. For $120K car, this should easily be doable and still be competitive with Rolls Royce. Plus add an umbrella to the door too!
Such a shame that they won't be making a Continental again. this was such an underrated beautiful car, in my humble opinion. Would love to have owned one.

Doug, you should add a section after "... then, I'll take it out for a drive.." that goes along "... then, I'll be driven around in the back seat.." would be interesting, for such cars, to get the passenger experience, after all, that's what these cars are really all about :)
5:53 they couldn’t have placed the rubber seal seam at a location not visible when entering the car? Maybe by the door hinge?
I noticed that too, I wouldn't be too pleased if I was expected to pay over 120k
They could have bonded the seal like a factory one would be which would make it look nicer, but... bottom center is where the seam goes. function over form, it's weather strip and you want it to keep water out.
redorange I had a 2015 Ford Mustang with that exact same issue. By 2016, that seal was completely destroyed by my shoes exiting in and out. It looked just awful
The seal seam always should be at the bottom to let water that gets through weep out. It's in the right position. They for usually have a piece that makes the seam look better though.

The chrome trim another the door didn’t look flush. Yes, it’s little but for $120,000 I’d expect more attention to detail.
