Omg!! I'm in Venice right now and I passed by their Squero yesterday! Their Gondolas really are something beautiful, and it's no wonder they can cost over 20-30 K for one.
@Potatoez Minez Oh. Is this a case of like, the gondolas they make are so good they last hundreds of years and then noone needs new gondolas so they effectively put themselves out of business?
They're not the last there are at least 3 other makers . They are however the last to use the traditional methods. So if you ask me this was probably similar to what happened to the automobile industry-In the late 1800s and very early 1900s there were a LOT of car manufacturers with all the work being done by hand but as the manufacturing line caught on nearly all of them were pushed out of business as they failed to adapt and i belive something similar happened here
Hate videos like this where i dont know the language and have to choose between watching the video and reading the text of what they are saying. Does not make for a very good video if you ask me, might as well just create a PDF and send it for all the good it is! Still a really cool story, just have to watch it twice is all!

This tradition will be gone-dola if nobody continues it.

_Granola?_
Tramontina from Brazil had something related?
There was a huge immigration from north Italy (Veneto more than others) to South America, so I think that yes, it is related
@@Snippy_5739 yes, Valentim Tramontina was from NE italy
they must cost a lot, as few thousand hours to build!?!?!? wow
