Chinese local governments are very efficient in repairing public facilities. A few years ago, I called the traffic office to complain that one of the street lights was broken or not working, which made me afraid to drive home. 1 or 2 days later, the light was repaired. Also, a coastal road was damaged by waves in a storm once, which is nearby my home, I thought, my God, it will be difficult to repair and it may affect my commute for a month. However, it only took a few days for the road to be repaired.

It’s so unfair for outsiders (westerners) who have never been to China 🇨🇳 make such negative impression about China 🇨🇳. More people from western countries should really see China 🇨🇳 and understand how much improvement the country has made over the last 20 years. They are responsible for the ”Sample proofing" and formulate the factory's processing technology to ensure the quality and efficiency of the mass production. I would like to know about their pay and conditions ..their working hours ...their holiday time. Factory work is awful, repetitive and boring and it's only the pay and conditions that can make it bearable. I hate factory workers being treated like slaves, who are frowned upon for even talking to each other, instead of working for every single minute of their working hours.

Workers are paid about 20 pounds a day, and work hours are from 8am to 11am and from 1pm to 5pm, with a 2-hour break at noon. They usually have Saturdays and Sundays off. If the factory is busy and needs overtime, the salary is 1.5 to 2 times the usual salary. The main holiday in China is the Lunar New Year, and factory employees generally do not receive any salary during the holidays.

They had many positive perspectives and memories about China, here are some of their other notes: students are in school 12 hours a day, Six days a week. Students are quite naive in many ways because they do not have to be nor have the opportunity to be independent. Tremendous pressure to do well in education. It is difficult to gain entry into government jobs with making monetary contributions. There is a thirst for spiritual knowledge but fear about accessing it.

China is now truly a meritocracy, not just the central government but governments at all levels (province, city, town, district etc). Government officials take pride in their work and focus on improving their the lives of its citizens, knowing that their good performance would be valued and recognized and would lead to great chance of future promotion. Unlike western “democratic” governments where officials are mostly power and money hungry and people advance not because of what they’ve done but because of who they know (or because of some under-the-table deals).

While China’s labour costs are low compared to western nations, they are actually quite high within Asia region. Now the low cost manufacturers are in places like Indonesia, Vietnam, Malaysia, India, etc). For China to remain as the primary manufacturing nation within the region means that customers now turn to China for quality and other value adds and not because of low cost. Most high end and high tech products are being manufactured in China, so its standard of quality must be very high.

You can't tell the same (negative) story for 15 years and expect to get the public's attention. At the very least, you've got to switch it up, tell some positive stories along with negative ones. But even when there's some positive development from China, like its ability to produce cheap, high-quality solar panels, it is always spun in a negative way, like the companies get green subsidies so the competition is unfair. The media is never like, "Hey, solar energy is getting cost-competitive with fossil fuels, thanks to high-tech production in China."

I know may Canadians with a strong accent. He sounds European, perhaps a French speaker from Quebec, since French is one of our official language.

The only reason this is a stupid question is because this is clearly CCP propaganda.

China's is Singapore's 240 times in terms of its populations.
If you think Singapore is clean and efficient, being one of the best and safest countries in the world ; I can tell you, China has that all in the number of 240 times to that of the same quality and make up of what Singapore has, albeit in a much bigger size and shape.
    Truly amazing China !
    ❤ from Singapore.
