I completely agree with the other comments. You took away what really made the coffee table special by removing the casters. I actually prefer a taller coffee table. I don't want to reach down for my drink if I'm relaxing.
I totally agree. The casters should have remained, the furniture is taller now a days. Coffee tables need to be taller as well. Maybe you could add them back on. They were so cute and special!
Please do more high-end dupes on a low budget. This video is very inspirational. I picked up several things I didn't know - about the proportion of the coffee table to the sofa, for example. I've subscribed and look forward to more videos!
I agree on put back the casters. It turned out so good BUT I 'd propably paint it black because of the light colored furniture. It would give some dimension in the space and pare well with the rug.
Love the oval coffee table, what a great find, and a fantastic refinish job! I was hoping you'd take the wheels off - they were awkward-looking, and probably why it didn't sell for so long - easy fix!
Thank you! I liked the idea of casters but besides the height of the table they also just didn't show up at all on my dark patterned rug so there was really no point. They just sunk into the floor haha. And funny enough I ended up redoing that table again in a more recent video 😅
I love your gallery wall. I know someone said it's outdated, but who cares. I can't stand a house that has no personality. I love a home that within a few minutes of entering, I know the interests of the homeowner. Some things are classics and never go out of style.
I did this this past summer!! I found a good, sturdy, heavy ! coffee table for $3.50!! Brought it home and stripped off 4 layers of paint off the surface, finding a beautiful wood grain! (not sure why someone painted it in the first place, but I get it, you get tired of the way things look sometimes) I repainted the base and legs an off white to go with the rest of my furniture... we LOVE it!! I LOVE a good find!!! I love how your table turned out! :O)
First time landing on your channel, you have a beautiful home. PB is not worth the price tags anymore. In the late 90’s/early 2000’s, yes. You could not find comparable style and quality, unless it was WS, CB, or RH. 10 years ago, thinking the quality was still the same, I bought a duvet set and sheets. The sheets lasted maybe 2 years? They were torn up at the foot of the bed and… I’m going off on a tangent, but I’ve stayed away from PB since then. So glad for channels like yours which feature decent dupes 💕 Happy New Year
Thanks for bringing this up, that's interesting. I'm someone who has only bought directly from Pottery Barn a handful of times, but I have quite a few Pottery Barn pieces in our home that I've picked up from thrift stores. I'm sure some of the things I've bought second hand are actually from their earlier years! Thanks so much for watching, glad to have you. 😊
I love the table so much but PLEASE put the casters back on!they are so amazing! Not everyone needs to have a room with furniture in these recommended dimensions. Many French homes don’t!
You said couch. I have not heard that vintage expression in some time. Years ago, it was a davenport. Now it's a sofa. Victorians said settee. Great video!
Oh that's funny! Where are you from? I thought couch was pretty common here in the southern US but maybe it's more local to my area of NC than I realize. Thanks for watching!
We just purged our oops paint yesterday. Disposal isn’t easy, but we had accrued so much! I’m horrible at DIYs…but, it is fun watching others!! Great job!
I like the table with the castors, however, for someone with small children it could be a hazard to have it moving about. It looks great with or without. Go with what makes your heart smile.
Yes thank you for making that point, I had thought about that too but not stated it in the video. But after hearing that others liked them as much as I initially did maybe I'll put them back in and try the higher height out for a while to see how it works. 🥰
Absolutely a Great Video... Loved the Castors... I Have an old tool trunk that came with castors on it and I made the mistake of taking them off and I thought I had stored them in the trunk that I use for a coffee table But No, They are No where to be found to re-add back on to the trunk.
Thank you. Bummer about the casters you can't find :( I am definitely keeping these and actually probably will put them back on the table and try it out that way, due to popular demand :)- Thanks so much for watching.
The table looks too white (not neutral). Can you update it with the exact match of the lightest color from the rug it stands on? Just a thought! Love your channel! Subscribed and now am watching all your videos in chronological order.
Im not sure about the coffee table to be honest. I dont think it looked expensive and i think itll chip within 12 months. I think furniture is worth investing in and keeping for years. Like the photo wall though!
Hanging a gallery wall up your stair way is so outdated. If you have a landing at the top of the stairs as you come up it is visible to the eye, and looks great and hang them in rolls if you’re going to do gallery wall on stairways, looks so much more high end just a tip!
I love the coffee table. Didn’t realize how nice the oval shape looked. I’m not a fan of castors on furniture so I liked it better without. I’m all about charm but I just don’t see it in castors.
Why paint the wood table? Now the painted version just looks cheap to me. Just one opinion. And losing the casters. No. Wish we had second hand stores with such nice stuff. Where are you located? Like the idea of this vlog.

I agree on the Coasters! I think that’s what makes this table! Beautiful! I Love the Dupe Makeovers!
Love the castors!
That table was an amazing find and it looks really great
Thanks :)
Great finds and beautiful taste.
Thanks so much, and thanks for watching :)
I completely agree with the other comments. You took away what really made the coffee table special by removing the casters. I actually prefer a taller coffee table. I don't want to reach down for my drink if I'm relaxing.
I hear you, I did like them 😭 maybe I'll put them back on after all and live with the height for a while. I might end up liking it fine.
I like everything you have purchased. I would also install the castors back on the table. They are a beautiful feature. 😊
It’s your home, you do what works for you. I agree on the height thing….it is suppose to be lower than your sofa…..you go girl….well done.
I didn’t know she made it for you tanyabaker edit…oh and, if she was doing it for me, I’d say take those hideous castors off!
I totally agree. The casters should have remained, the furniture is taller now a days. Coffee tables need to be taller as well. Maybe you could add them back on. They were so cute and special!

I definitely will! That will be the main focus of my channel. I'm so glad you enjoyed the video and I hope you find some awesome thrift deals ASAP!
Thank you for sharing. I loved all your ideas & the coffee table was my favorite!! Great job… Terri
It’s all beautiful. I only found your channel today and I’ve binged watched all your videos, I love everything you do. Thanks for sharing.
So glad to have you!
Loved the table make-over. Casters were a keeper!
Thanks! Latest video (thrift with me for high-end home decor) revisits the table and does a re-makeover 😉
Oh man, I'd sacrifice the recommendation for a table height in order to keep the castors. Those are the crowning glory of the table!
Agreed!!
I know what you mean haha I may have to put them back on after all!
Just raise up your sofa! Maybe you can find some of those awesome castors for it! The table castors must stay! @@TashaatHome
Me too 😊
The table looks amazing, you did a great job!
Coffee table looks to have turned out nice
Really nice dupes.
I agree on put back the casters. It turned out so good BUT I 'd propably paint it black because of the light colored furniture. It would give some dimension in the space and pare well with the rug.
I agree black would probably look great! And I probably will put the casters back on and try out that height for a while. 😊
Lovely video and ideas !!! Enjoyed it immensely ! ❤
Thank you so much!!
MIss the castors. You could cut the legs down and drill in for the castors. Just a thought. Pretty table and what a deal for solid wood . Nice finds.
Great idea! I did really like them. I'll probably give them another go.
My thoughts, exactly.
New to your channel . I would love more videos like this !! Pottery Barn is my favorite !
Another is heading your way at noon 😉 So glad to have you!
Fantastic, well thought out, very helpful presentation. . You're one of the very best. Love from new Zealand
Thank you and thanks so much for watching!
I watched your vid with the sound off under my blankets so I didn't wake up my husband. Loved it all, even in silence.
😂 awesome!

The table looks good, but the casters elevate the look!
I agree haha I may have to put them back on and live with the higher height a while to see!
Wow the table find was a good one! Your budget friendly items that similar to PB are awesome
Thank you so much! Check out the video " thrift with me for high-end home decor" to see me revisit the table and try something different 😉
I would keep the castors! I love them.
I may have to put them back on and live with the higher height a while to see!
I’m not one for painted furniture however you did a great job on this coffee table.
I understand. Thank you 😊
Wow you find such great things!
Thanks so much 😊
Voting for keeping the castors on the piece. As if my vote counts. lol
I know what you mean! I may have to put them back on after all...🤔

Thanks so much! Your find sound amazing. $3.50?!? Wow 😲 Stay tuned for further developments about the table in my next video too ☺️
Will do! :O) @@TashaatHome
TThe coffee table and rattan pitcher are such good finds!
You could maybe try bleaching the rattan to lighten it, although it also looks great as is.
Thanks so much! Stay tuned for further developments about the coffee table, coming next Tuesday 😉

I may have to do that! I did like them and also it seems they're in popular demand ☺️ Maybe I'll try that height out for a while anyway 😉

I don’t hear people say sofa often. Definitely couch.

Yes it can really stack up! I purge decor items regularly and donate them back, haha it's a cycle 😆

Great ideas! I love the black shoes you're wearing outside when painting the coffee table, who makes them?
Thank you! They are this pair: amzn.to/41HIxRs
@@TashaatHome thank you!!!
I liked your chairs! Can you link where are they from please?
Thanks! If you mean the chairs in the living room, unfortunately, I got them a couple years ago from Wayfair and they are no longer available. 😔
Okay, thanks for replying
Did you seal the table? I would add a dark wax sealer to give it some dimension and protection.
Actually I revisited it altogether in the next video! ua-cam.com/video/wF6txQqNjvg/v-deo.html
Love what u did with your finds, I'm sure you've mentioned it, (but Im new to your channel) where did u get your rug from in your living space 🎄
Amazon! It's linked in the description box ☺️ amzn.to/3tium8H

Keep going 😂 I actually redid this one and then have a new table now!
@@TashaatHome awesome!
I like table without casters. A too high coffee table feels awkward.
Stay tuned for more developments on the coffee table next Tuesday 😉
Actually, I didn’t like the castors , so I vote keep them off
I think the wood looked better than the paint.
Its very orange though.
Thanks for weighing in!

Right? I feel like ovals are underrated at the moment haha. Thanks so much for watching ☺️
I like your table better than PB
Why paint the wood table? Now the painted version just looks cheap to me. Just one opinion. And losing the casters. No. Wish we had second hand stores with such nice stuff. Where are you located? Like the idea of this vlog.
Durham, North Carolina
DON'T Remove the casters that what makes the table unique
I don’t understand why people think they have to copy Pottery Barn. It all looks the same. Develop your own style.
