Semi list is probably now for cards that allow you to choose and randomly add from 3 cards. A purrely list. Also, Baronne and borreload choke out any future lvl 10 and lvl 8 synchro design. White Woods for example, wouldve turboed out Baronne.
im happy with end game board cards are being removed because I got tired of how multiple decks would all end on basically the same board and then new decks would come out and then the combos would them would just be "see how little cards are required to get to that same end board you've seen a million times"
I love how everyone was complaining about how generic baronne is and how dumb it is for her to be in every deck and every end board, and now they’re mad that she’s banned 😭 pick a side people
I'll never get why people think we're all a hivemind. There's more than one mindset in the world. The people who want it gone, aren't the ones who want it back.
With things like these please always remember that unhappy/frustrated people shout the loudest. The "everybody"/"everyone" you're talking about doesn't exist. There is no sudden switch in the mob mentality. The people who wanted more diverse endboards (me included) are happy about (most of) the changes, people who argued that very generic strong monsters made their rogue decks playable (among other reasons) aren't happy about the changes.
You know. My main problem with Colossus isn't that it's a flood gate or that it's a beater with built in protection. It's that it's a fusion monster that can contact fuse with only ONE monster. Did konami forget what the concept of a fusion is when they designed this card? They gave it a main deck boss monster that can summon itself from the deck essentially. Bonus points for not even requiring a thunder dragon monster to use.
Best Alternative for Baronne De Fleur is Crystal Wing Synchro Dragon, Hot Red Dragon Archfiend Abyss, or Trishula, Dragon of the Ice Barrier Linkuriboh is either Link Steamer, Secure Gardna, Link Disciple, or Link Devotee
So excited to see Colossus and Kirin finally back. Been cooking up a Generaider Majespecter list with the new support and it was already really helping out the decks consistency, the payoff was just a bit lacking. Now we have the payoff after far too many months of waiting. Colossus makes me really interested to tinker with Subterrors again since they have tons of Handtrap room and can summon it fairly easily. Getting more copies of Delicious Memory and Engage is also super hype. Was tinkering with a Noir Turbo version of Purrely before Delicious got hit, so I can't wait for it to come back to 3 so I can push out an extra deck towers consistently
I swear, Konami employees must be made to sign oaths in blood bound to some eldrich horror demanding that they *NEVER* be consistent. There is no other explanation for *THIS* level of stupidity.
@@TrianglePants yeah I feel you there, also the flat out predatory rarity bumps they'll to to the TCG areas while in Japan you can get any rarity for any card it seems.
The problem with these bans is it legit doesnt hit the meta at all. It only effects those who dont want to shill out big bucks. Barrone at less then $5? ban it we cant have those budget players having good cards go buy SP little knight ya scrubs. This doesnt effect snake-eye at all unless you consider the mirror. Linkuriboh isnt going to stop snake-eye from making their board its just going to slow it down a bit. Jet Syncron would have been a better ban I think.

Hopefully, Baronne and Borreload Savage come back one day with an Errata. Baronne now needing Fleur Synchron. And Savage needing a Rokket monster (either as the tuner or as the non-tuner), or only being able to equip a Rokket / Borrel Link Monster
@@nazeersadek6705 To make Konami money. But yes, from a pure card design perspective, it made no sense making them generic. Baronne is an upgrade of an existing Synchro that isn't generic and Borreload Savage Dragon was an outlier among its Extra Deck variations. Their Xyz isn't generic, the Links need 3 materials and there's a Ritual monster.
It's funny that Cimo complains semi limited when Purrely Delicious Memory being at 2 is the most healthy number to be legal. At 1 My Friend Purrely misses to often, at 3 it can't miss.
Draw Spells aren’t that great on their own. It’s when you have a critical mass of them that things start to get fucky And now we have 3 Upstart and a Chicken Game
Decks are just too consistent for this to ever matter in a competitive context. None of the best decks have issues with consistency - if you’re already drawing combo pretty much every game, you’re just going to wish that draw spell was a handtrap when going second. It’s a buff for degen ftk decks, but whilst you might see those types of decks in online sims, you’ll never run into them at the top tables of a tournament - and more draw spells won’t change that.
I might be wrong, but this is might the quickest turn from list reveal to list implementation, revealed today (Saturday) and going into effect in 2 days on Monday (at least in the US region)

I know cimooooo has a hatejob for the semi list(and I get why), but honestly, Delicious Memory should've been semi limited in the first place. Gives you a higher chance to draw it, but prevents you from directly searching it.
You shouldn't get why. Delicious for example was a 33% chance off Friend, now it is 66%. Mali was a mistake that would never be unlimited if Isolde was legal, cards like Ratpier are designed with the semi-list in mind. Even at an event with more than 5 rounds, a 10% drop in consistency will cost you games where you didn't draw the card you needed because it's at 2 copies instead of 3.
I find it hilarious that the day after I finally decide to buy a Baronne it gets on the banlist. should ordered it a couple weeks ago to speed up the banlist I guess.
Borreload Savage dragon banned is a real dick move on Konami. The card ain't even ban worthy it's just the broken combos that abuse its generic summon ability
@@lz9275 it will get an errata at some point hopefully that will make its summon a bit harder. That's what needs to happen maybe the tuner needs to be a borrel dragon tuner card and that card needs to have a card text can't be added to the hand except by drawing or something

Hitting some of the flood gates and unbanning Kirin helps Pendulum decks. Little concerned about Colossus coming back but I think it's fine for right now.
To note about the Puurly cards. Because they search by revealing 3 and get one randomly, semi-limits matter since the deck eas already being forced to run the card at 3 because of how they search.

Semi-limits are a niche thing that really affects a deck like Purrely. Semi-Limited list is absolutely mandatory for a game like yugioh entirely because Purrely and their deck as a concept is allowed to exist. Purrely is the best to do what it does but it’s absolutely not the first. ESPECIALLY with Snake-Eyes not having omni-negate end boards in Baronne and Savage, Delicious coming back up to two is a huge buff. Plump plays REALLY help the deck and being able to get two of them off of Lily reliably is amazing for the deck.

TCG, MD, and OCG use their own individual ban lists. What you see them hit on one of them could give you an idea of what they might be thinking about hitting on the other two, but it has no direct meaning, no.
While I'm quite annoyed they didn't just fix the cards to be less generic, I am also happy because I've been having trouble finding the QCSRs of Baronne and Savage Dragon for the collection. Guess it should be very easy this week, lol.
Fantastic banlist. Colossus? what deck could use him? Only thunder dragon and this is fine. Protos? What deck could use him? Swordsoul and thats it. Kirin? I dont think kirin is a big deal and with new majispecter supports its reasonable ALSO when we didnt see a pendulum deck top an event? Seriously... Armageddon knight and delicious to 2 honestly they just going to put to 3 next banlist doesnt matter. Unlimits are fine too. As you can see this banlist kinda replicate what master duel had. And tbf most of this cards doesnt do too much atm. The bans are fantastic (anti spell should be banned too frustrating card especially in a best of 3 scenario, literally a bit worse imperial order. Tell me who doesnt hate an opponent when you cant activate any spell card?). Konami SHOULD NOT print generic extra deck monsters and generic floodgates, this game should focus on archetype cards alone because the game would be so much more fun and less confusing too. Generic cards are ruining yugioh as long the game keep going on and looking how easy are to combo in a non mana card game system is reasonable not having generic cards any more. I hope with all my heart that both access code talker, borreload sword dragon and selene would be banned too (and all other busted generic cards). A good card game is a card game when there is iteraction between players. If the game ends in 1/2 turns because one player cant break an impossible board, thats a bad card design game. Good job on konami hopefully they dont mess up with the cards release.
When it comes to Colossus any deck that can use a single generic Thunder Monster can use him and the only good one is Corridor which is notable given he can now act as a 4th Malicious. Whether they will or not I suppose depends on how easily accessible corridor is. The other stuff, I think it's all find. At least Speedroid has a boss monster that actually competes with Baronne (from the same set, even) in Crystal Clear Wing Synchro Dragon.
I'm glad you got Terratop back man.
Going to miss Baron and Borreload. But I am scared for the next 25th anniversary set. As the next cards that will be banned will most likely come from there too.
Semi list is probably now for cards that allow you to choose and randomly add from 3 cards. A purrely list.
Also, Baronne and borreload choke out any future lvl 10 and lvl 8 synchro design. White Woods for example, wouldve turboed out Baronne.
Now I'm more excited for white wood and less hateful at synchro decks
Is that a good or bad thing?
Agreed. Konami should banned them a years ago.
im happy with end game board cards are being removed because I got tired of how multiple decks would all end on basically the same board and then new decks would come out and then the combos would them would just be "see how little cards are required to get to that same end board you've seen a million times"
I love how everyone was complaining about how generic baronne is and how dumb it is for her to be in every deck and every end board, and now they’re mad that she’s banned 😭 pick a side people

There is no sudden switch in the mob mentality. The people who wanted more diverse endboards (me included) are happy about (most of) the changes, people who argued that very generic strong monsters made their rogue decks playable (among other reasons) aren't happy about the changes.
I'd say most people are happy about it.
People who paid for her at peak price are not.

For me it still is the best link 1 of all time, after MR4 it now doesn't even need link arrows.

I like this dude ^ his hype is sincere but then he just had to bring up Subterrors.
Funny how every deck you mentioned literally can't function under an opponent's Colossus.
This ain’t no joke

Exactly I never understood why they were generic to begin with
@@nazeersadek6705 To make Konami money. But yes, from a pure card design perspective, it made no sense making them generic.
Did Konami not realize that placing cg to one that its gonna be an issue with 3 upstart
Draw Spells aren’t that great on their own. It’s when you have a critical mass of them that things start to get fucky
And now we have 3 Upstart and a Chicken Game
Its at 3 in MD and no one cares. It is not good enough to Upstart into Droll and Lockbird
draw spells just lose you a game in a droll and lock enviroment tbh, if they hit that card as they should have they would be good, but alas....
Same idiot who probably thinks bonfire at 3 is ok 😂

As a hero player I see this as an absolute win

Semi-limits are a niche thing that really affects a deck like Purrely. Semi-Limited list is absolutely mandatory for a game like yugioh entirely because Purrely and their deck as a concept is allowed to exist. Purrely is the best to do what it does but it’s absolutely not the first. ESPECIALLY with Snake-Eyes not having omni-negate end boards in Baronne and Savage, Delicious coming back up to two is a huge buff. Plump plays REALLY help the deck and being able to get two of them off of Lily reliably is amazing for the deck.

"A compulsory may as well be a floodgate"
Fantastic banlist.
Colossus? what deck could use him? Only thunder dragon and this is fine.
Protos? What deck could use him? Swordsoul and thats it.
Kirin? I dont think kirin is a big deal and with new majispecter supports its reasonable ALSO when we didnt see a pendulum deck top an event? Seriously...
Armageddon knight and delicious to 2 honestly they just going to put to 3 next banlist doesnt matter.
Unlimits are fine too.

This list seems to be designed with the idea of making the game faster which lines up with previous lists while not leaning so hard into the unbreakable generic end boards. Negate, negate, floodgate pass.
@@Akechi_The_Phantom_Detective you would put corridor in a deck? I dont know man, sure corridor does it but you still waste 1 extra deck slot + 1 slot on the deck and going second is very bad, you can use it on the side deck but is even worth it?
