here's a short video about how to use gears to do basic arithmetic operations.
Enjoy watching,

The video is a bit shorter today because I'm not at home and had to record multiple videos in a single week. But I hope you still like the mechansims :)
Nice video! I love to see some more complex mechanisms!
👍👍👍
A racecourse somewhere in the UK, uses an analogue computer to calculate the odds. It uses a diagonal sliding bar, to perform some surprisingly complex maths.
Good work 👍🏻👍🏻
Cool, especially the multiplication construct!
Very cool
Looking forward to mechanical logic gates and binary based math soon :P
Analogue is far more powerful in mechanical mechanisms, so I think a hybrid would be best here, digitising where necessary.
lmao that is the most illegal and fun build I've seen in a while
You are a too smart. This video is nice.
Needs a Geneva drive or three, to digitise the count.
I'm pretty sure it's impossible to build a 10-sided geneva drive using Lego, but maybe this: ua-cam.com/video/HHFvNfReZVs/v-deo.html
