My 3c/4a hair was struggling for years. I went back to the old school shampoo, deep treatment and grease. My hair reached my mid back in less than a year.
This was a very short but informative video. I have finally discovered the importance of shampooing. In my case frequent shampooing 3-4 x a wk. to unclog my pores which promotes healthy scalp and hair growth. The hair I lost at the crown is growing back. I avoid “grease”, but do oil treatments once a wk, then shampoo it out. I also take supplements vit D3, and MSM. But the shampooing is what turned the corner for me. Your natural hair is gorgeous. Love the gray. Looking forward to the next video. New subscriber here.
I tried that method for a couple of months at one time and it does work. I'm not good with twist outs. I used it on my wash and goes and it worked great. Your hair is beautiful!❤️
I like how confident you are with wearing gray hair. I’m not ready for my gray hair to grow out. I have some strands in the front that I get colored. I’m just not ready and I wish I was more confident like you are.
This great video..reminds me back in the day..keeping it simple..our ancestors didn't use all those conditioners..jusy grease, (or beef tallow) and water..
@@thatwildethunderchild392 no worries. Oyr ancestors are guiding us back to hair care away from the ways of our enemies (relaxers, eyc)..everything they told us not to use lead to hair breakage..its was grease that our hair thrived and flourished our crown 👑.
@@kimmyrine Would be better had I been consistent. 😕 It was working, had a setback in March with improper care and rebounding from that. Still give grease 2 thumbs up !👍🏾 👍🏾
My hair is grey and I am trying very hard to take care of it but for sure I shall try this method this weekend and if it works why not I shall do it every weekend Thanks Shalom
Hi, I’m going grey-er everytime I wash my hair it seems! I’m embracing the grey more and more☺️I have returned back to the grease as well. My is dry so I’ve added a few pieces to my routine (prepoo with oil before wash day; shampoo, condition, deep condition or mask, LOC method into twists or plays or braids). Once a week I use a leave in conditioner with blue magic and put my hair into twists or plats again. My hair is healthy and not dry as you know grey hair is a beast by itself! Happy yo be Grey🥹
I am so happy you are enjoying your gray hair journey and still learning new things a long the way !! 🩷 I agree that figuring out how to keep the gray hair from drying out is key.
Hi, Ma'am. Your hair is beautiful. I will like to know if the grease I am to use must be this type"blue magic". Can I use "Virgin hair cream"or any other type of grease?
Im trying it now because Im wondering why did I ever stop? I use to have such long soft hair. Off topic but your skin is just so radiant and smooth, I couldn't leave without saying that.
Thank you so much for stopping by! I really like your avatar 😁. Make sure to come back and share how the method is working for you. Which grease are you using?
I have a question I can’t twist so I’m going to ask my hairdresser to do it but I’ll them in for two months. Will this still work if I shampoo my hair in twist
I would think so 🤔. I would try and and see. Twists usually keep the moisture in your hair. My concern would be to make sure you don’t leave the twists in so long that they start to matt. ❤️
@@thatwildethunderchild392 Hi, please don’t leave your twist in when you wash your hair! Twisting your hair is easy yo do. It doesn’t have to be perfect just twisted. You can style it as you desire or put on a headband or scarf. Try it, you’ll be surprised that you can do it. That’s how I Learned and I still get get lots of compliments on my hair! 🥰
Are you comfortable with your hair color? What you believe about yourself is far more important than other peoples stares or assumptions. One thing I learned during my transition is to not concern myself with other peoples assumptions about me. 🤷🏾♀️
Thank you! I have never personally used Vaseline on my hair, but I have read other people have success using Vaseline (petroleum jelly) on type 4 hair.
Yes this works! I’ve tried it. My hair love when I use grease

Be who you are 🤍. It’s ok that you aren’t ready. You may decide to never have gray hair and that is TOTALLY fine. 😊
Or how to color them at home 🙈
@@pacifiquemurwanashaka2203 if I knew of a natural way of doing it . I saw that henna works you have to use two steps though.

My hair loves grease. Creams and gel doesn’t work on my hair. They make my hair hard and dry.
