Would you like me to do a similar video for an other sport? 🤔 If so, which one?
MMA/boxing
Football / Baseball / Soccer…pi.
Yes…lol
I would love to hear your take on football. Ty Roger with onside kick productions posted a really great game plan to the Facebook group.
@@Coachstreat This video I made a few years ago could be updated but still has plenty of good info ua-cam.com/video/lGcKkD6UBag/v-deo.html
Great video man, you talked about a shot list before and that really took my filming level up to another level. Especially having a lot of cutaway shots helps with variety in a video. I'm definitely going to have to rewatch this and take notes because there's a lot of great info. Great video, can't wait for the next one 🔥
Thanks for the great feedback, it’s really appreciated.
This is some of the best content online. Anywhere. Explanations are clear and very well thought out. A gem.
Thanks, that means a lot.
This is probably a Top 3 of your videos! So useful and well explained.
Can you give some insights for filming interview?
I am interested on the focusing settings indoor/outdoor
How you set up the frame of the interviewed character?
Do you prefer to have blurry background or some normal background?
How important is to shoot with second camera for a double perspective?
And some other stuff that you think are important. Will be great to watch such a video!
Thank You so much for the shot list

What’s some of your best advice in getting started with this type of business. We are starting out with our niche being high school recruit videos or general memorabilia videos
Networking. Make contacts and friends in the right circles.
I’m new to videography and I plan on filming basketball for my high school. I watched a few videos of yours and you said to shoot 60-65% from the baseline and the rest from the sideline or half court. So my question is when the team i’m shooting for changes baskets do I go the basket they are at or do I stay on the same side they started on?
I would change sides but it's not a bad thing to spend some time on the opposite side to capture a different perspective.
@@BeyondTheGame_E Thanks you once again.
Brother, I like your videos and I need a suggestion, I can afford these
Sony DSC-HX350
Canon SX 730 HS
Canon EOS 4000D
Canon Powershot SX540
I need a soccer games recording camera and can afford these, which one should I by?
Like I said in my previous reply, my recommendation would be to save your money for now and then buy this camera ua-cam.com/video/E1usraZ8IPU/v-deo.html
how do you set your camera to avoid light flicker even if you slow down the video in post?
It’s all explained in this video ua-cam.com/video/Da-bS7a35zM/v-deo.html
Hello. I developed an interest in sports photography because my daughter who plays with the junior local team wants me to take some videos for her to watch after the game. I started taking some videos for her using my Android mobile phone. Frankly, all the videos l took are very boring. Since l want to make her happy l decided to learn some techniques to improve a bit on UA-cam that was how l came across your tutorials. Is a great thing you are doing than you.
My question is: what is the recommended period for taking a shot? Do you shoot the whole game from the start to the end and then edit it later or do you have pauses in between?
Unfortunately, in sports you kind of have to film all the time. I don't record one continuous clip though, I stop and start recording at the start and end of every play. But if you take long breaks, you always take the chance of missing that one great play.
@@BeyondTheGame_E thank you my friend. I appreciate your time for this response l will continue learning from your videos. Great things you are doing with cameras out there...
12:27 I really liked this shot
as a basketball fan and amateur hooper i do miss warm up footage from top players
Which lens do you use from the baseline to get full body shots as players are coming at you while you're under the basket
At the moment, I use a Tamron 28-75mm F2.8 lens. But if you have a cropped sensor camera, full body might be hard from the baseline.
@@BeyondTheGame_E I have panasonic GH5, just picked up the Canon 70-200, and the Tokina 11-16
@@thesacramentobasketballsho3488 That's a cropped sensor. The 70-200mm will be way too tight for full body shots from up close but you should be fine with the 11-16mm.
@@BeyondTheGame_E this for me is the hardest part... focal lengths, getting images to be sharp and full bodies in the frame... I have a lot to learn about shooting handheld
You can get apps on your phone that show you what your shot would look like at any focal length. But image sharpness is a combination of the right camera, the right lens and good knowledge of your camera settings.
what lens you use?
Stay tuned, this is the topic of my next video.
📝
"Move ref, I'm filming" Watch me get kicked out 😂😂
It’s actually the opposite! The refs always think it’s funny and it becomes sort of a conversation starter with them.
I need your advice 🫡🫡🫡
Just ask a question and I’ll answer the best I can.
