Soft knit black palazzo pants with pockets. Can wear with sneakers for a casual look & then with black flats and a dressy top for evening wear. My go-to that I always travel with!
i have the same prob. i got the JJill Wearever Black wide-leg pants (they are wider leg than typical) & they drape well, travel well on the plane, & wash easy!
My top minimal packing hack: running skorts. I literally wear them as a skirt, for running & even swimming. Hand wash, dries overnight, dress up & down fancy dinners to fast food lol. The ones I use are from Skirts Sports, just fabulous
@@GenxGypsy1968 Maybe check Ann Taylor, Chicos, Talbots, Nordstrom, Macys, Ralph Lauren… ? I got a nice navy with medium (denim) blue knit blazer, from Talbots, a couple of years ago.
I always pick two colors for a trip. Makes it so easy to mix & match & also switches it up for my photos (so I’m not always in black). Next trip, my clothes will all be shades of pink & gray with a couple of accents (black & white). 18 days with a carryon & backpack.
Black pants/capris, tunic tops, silk scarves and pashminas. The pants go with most everything. The tunics are comfortable for travel days. The scarves dress up some outfits and sometimes help with aggressive ac.
Obviously, button front shirts can be worn alone, layered over and under other pieces, bathing suit cover-up, and a lightweight "jacket" for cooler days or nights. Even in warm climates, I always have one or two button front shirts.
I use a fisherman type vest with about 10 pockets to basically be my travel pocketbook. I don't like to bend down to find items in flight, so I have snacks, phone, earbuds, cleaning supplies, pad/pen all handy. Plus 2 interior zip pockets for passport and wallet. No chance of leaving anything behind either. And no extra airline fees. Also, I am in my 60s and i enjoy wearing leggings, with a tunic top or under a belted dress with boots.
Double duty items: Cardigans. I wear them buttoned up (or almost buttoned up) as a top. Or I leave it unbuttoned and layer it with a tank or t-shirt. Mens-style shirts (blouses). Can be worn as a shirt or a jacket. A long flowy skirt with an elastic waistband can be worn as a skirt (duh!) and a tube dress. (Just bring along a strapless bra or cover the shoulders… and bra straps… with a cardigan or shirt “jacket”.
I love your videos. I can’t wait until you get 1000 subscribers. And you will. I was wondering if you had this problem with travel...whenever I go somewhere that has soft water (most condo rentals do) and it makes my hair so flat and lifeless. Do you have any suggestions on how to combat that? Back to your other question. Joggers can be double duty. Wear for casual and sporty or can dress up. Thanks.
Thank you ❤️. As for the soft water, because I have dry, course hair soft water actually helps my hair...but I've heard that if you use a salt water spray or maybe even some dry shampoo that might help!
Pockets are mandatory! I won't even buy Capri pants or leggings if they don't have the double side pockets. My double duty items are black wide leg pants, and a denim jacket. The pants are easily convert from day time to evening wear by swapping shoes and accessories. The denim jacket is also for both casual and functional style with pants or dresses. I also have a sweater wrap that I can take in the evenings if it is a bit chilly, and doubles as a blanket on the plane. Sometimes, the plane can be hit or miss temperature wise. As for jewelry, most of the time, I leave it home. I will opt for a simple pair of stud earrings (pearls or CZ) and a pin or broach to hold a scarf in place.
i love stuff i can take for more than one situation. for exampel i haf made a treeangel scarf that an be a nackpillow or a blanket. i also build my cosplystuff up from regulary cloth so i don´t have to change on con.
I liked this video so much I wanted to make a super thanks 🙏. Thank you so much 😊 I usually would donate $1.99 but I wanted to donate $4.99 this time since it was such a great video.
What's your favorite clothing item you like to pack for your travels??
Soft knit black palazzo pants with pockets. Can wear with sneakers for a casual look & then with black flats and a dressy top for evening wear. My go-to that I always travel with!
Love it!! I'm trying to find some lightweight palazzo pants that fit me well, its very challenging with a short torso 😊

Palazzo pants also work as a bathing suit cover-up.

Awesome! Thanks for sharing... I'll check them out 😊
YES, POCKETS! I also always travel with leggings with side pockets. Also, every skirt or dress must have pockets.
A knit blazer. I have several that don't wrinkle & elevate every outfit.💖
Love it!! Where do you get them?
I do that with some nice cardigans, in a luxurious material like a lightweight morino wool or silk blend.

I love the pink and gray combo!! 😊
I recently found a swim crop that can be worn for swimming, exercise, and as a regular bra...triple versatility! Thanks for your tips!
That sounds awesome!!

I love your necklace, where can I get one?
Thank you!! I got it at a Street Market in Paris... I'll have to see if I can find something like it available to be shipped!
Jumpsuits for double duty
Sorry skin tight is NEVER fashionable. Yikes
joggers,
Leggings are not suitable on the street anywhere, especially on ladies over 30-35 yo. They are not pants.
Legends should be worn with a tunic top that is past your thighs. These girls this wear leggings in public like pants it’s so unlikely lady like.
Leggings are to be worn at home
