For some reason, I just see Cynthia just like Nowi. I think they're adorable but I just can't make myself marry them in my games since they have this child thing that makes it seem wrong to marry them.

Cynthia really is the greatest character in RPG history. Sooo damn cute, and funny.
Hmmm....I must admit. The first time I read that when I recruited Cynthia. I absolutely laughed my ass off. Sure. It's a bit silly. But I dunno. I find it funny myself. Sadly, I don't understand Japanese so I can't even compare the two versions. But I really wonder what she said in that version.

Linkmstr Definitely better than Fates' localization. 8-4 and Cup of Tea generally had a better idea on what they were doing on Awakening and Echoes.

To think about it, when you are a dad who dotes on such a cute daughteru, who is the pride and joy of your entire life, you would call her that. No sadly I am not married (never will be), but I just felt that Chrom would be a father who would cherish such a daughter liddat
Sumia is the most obvious girl for Chrom, the game greatly hinted this in a number of scenes in the game such as the opening CG where you see her and Chrom together with infant Lucina. Shoot she's the only female aside from the important ones (lissa, Say'ri, Female avatar, etc.) to appear more often.
Well for me, on the playthrough I married Sumia, I had the avatar's hair be that very deep pink (because I felt like it), and as a result, Cynthia had the same color, so I can't imagine her without that color. On a similar note, when I married Olivia on another playthrough, my hair was purple, and I thought Inigo never looked better.

Always keep track of certain enemies attack ranges by highlighting them, especially ones that can be recruitable, bosses, or have certain weopons like killing edges or hammers.
I would just send either Chrom or Sumia in Cynthia's attack range and unnarm their weopons so that they won't attack her.

1. The Avatar can be male or female
2. Sumia is in the opening movie with Chrom's baby.
3. The title of the 3rd movie is "Lovebirds" in both Japanese and English.
4. Sumia gets a special hug scene in Chapter 12 confession. FeMU doesn't even get as much as a ring.
5. FeMU has the LOWEST priority of forced marriage to Chrom, while Sumia has the highest.
6. The avatar's a main character. Saying "she's more involved" when she's Chrom's wife is lol.

Eh I never thought much of that pair. Mostly because Sumia can pass down some pretty bad stats...
Sumia's supports are limited. Like Chrom, Sumia can marry of the 5 guys to get Cynthia which are Chrom, Gaius, Male Avatar, Fredrick and Henry.
On my second file, I got Sumia marry Fredrick as well! On my first file, normally I have Henry and Sumia together, but I got Chrom and Sumia together
ShiraTheZeldaFan bad stats?! What nonsense is that? aside from maribelle she is the only person with +2 net modifiers and her classes give her kids access to good skills like gale force and pavise.
Well I mean that Robin gives the most versatility in terms of class options, and that's important to me. I don't really care about the shipping though so please don't give me the "ugh Chrobin shippers!" bit. I have used both pairs in my files though. Whatever floats your boat as they say.
ShiraTheZeldaFan True, if you use the female robin, chrom is the optimal pairing. Her modifiers are +3 net, the highest first Gen modifiers excluding the taguel/manakete but they come with a weakness while robin doesn't.
However if you really want to optimize pairings male robin is the way to go because of gale force but it's your preference so enjoy.
btw, if their children gets inheritance for both skills and stats from their parents, wouldn't their base stats be higher and so is their stat caps also be higher if the parents are maxed out? Like if Chrom and Sumia weren't maxed out, would the stats cap be lower or does every child have a default stat cap already?

Their stat caps get determined by the parents. Not by how leveled they are. Caps are caps. Their base stats get affected if the parents are leveled... like how Cynthia is maxed out here in everything but HP and Mag.
Well, it's safe to assume that.
They had the difficulty state "MAX" on it. And there hasn't been any more DLC on the Japan side of things.

Basically, their starting stats are affected by the parents' and the stat caps are determined by different pairings.
Like, if Chrom and Sumia are not maxed, the max stat cap is the same even if they're maxed out. But if Chrom married someone else, the stat cap is different.

Stat caps =/= Base stats
Stat caps are determined by WHO the parents are, not by anything else.
Please, account for them besides Chapter 21's Lucina scene. PLEASE. The Mute FeMU has more added dialogue than a non-mute one that marries Chrom when compared to Male Avatar.
Cynthia doesn't get recruited by her father except for Chrom.
Chrom can recruit all the children... well those with a talk requirement that is.
Well last time I checked there's a default skill for their class at that level and defualt stats too. But...not getting into stat details and transferring and considering how Overpowered Shadowofchaos' (Rey) Sumia and chrome were by the time he attempted this mission, it's not surprising her stats maxed out and the two skills gained are from both parents...I think Rey might explain things MUCHbetter than I can.
well it doesn't matter which parent you talk to the child with... except Morgan because then you have to use the MU because they don't remember the father/mother...

no, just the starting stats get affected by the parents stats. their stat caps arent affected, the parents could be lvl 1 and the kids would have the same caps as if the parents where maxed....
If you're gonna go that route, why did Lucina call her "Milady" inplying distance when you're on the final chapter from the brink of the abyss instead of "MOTHER!" one one time that was crucial that they show their bonds of closeness?

Really? Just how much older than Cynthia is Lucina? Lucina doesn't look THAT much older than Cynthia. I guess that means Cynthia must have arrived years before Lucina... I mean, Lucina has to be like five years older than Cynthia if she wasn't born yet and Lucina has developed such vivid memories.
Stat caps = Who the parents are. Parents' stats don't affect stat caps.
Base stats = Determined by parents' stats.
Ok, I was worried for a second though. I was thinking of maxing out all of my characters before getting their children. xD
So apparently I'm not the only one to pair Chrom and Sumia together. Good to know not only that but that I clearly made the right choice if this moment is anything to go by.
Now if I could only figure out who I'm pairing Robin with.
Stats caps are determined by the parents, regardless of their level when they are married. Starting stats are determined by how levelled the parents are when you enter the mission to recruit the kid.

I had to restart the battle just for it too. Lol I couldn't bear Cynthia being robbed of her rightful vengeance at least in my eyes.
I'm not sure if this is spoilers but... The theater you unlock after beating the game labels the scene where Sumia rescues Chrom from the Feroxi soldiers as "Lovebirds", thus furthering obviousness.
This is an appropriate moment to say "Burn!" I assume?

No, it's a optional Paralogue you can do after chapter 13, assuming that Sumia is married or not, same said for the rest of the children characters Paralogues.
But be warned, some of them like Owains, Kjelle's, Laurents and Morgan's are easy, but the other ones are pretty damned hard as all the enemies will be premoted.
I personally found Nah's Paralogue to be the hardest to do.

"Pega-pony princess" is a localization. In Japanese it's just simply "Kawaii Musume" which is more believable for her to make up.
In case you haven't noticed, shadowofchaos725 had the Japanese version of the game for almost a year and you probably only had the US or EUR version for only a few months or a few weeks. He had experimented on the game more than you could ever do.
Also, where in the world did it say he "knows what IS intended for the game"? He doesn't know, but he sure as hell knows a lot more stuff about the game than you.

In Japanese, BOTH Sumia and Cynthia are voiced by the same voice actress who does the Japanese voice of Super Sonico.
You mean Silver + Brown = Dark Blue.
But, given how genetics work, and if it were up to just one locus, then it's possible as long as dark blue is recessive towards both silver and brown, and there's even more possibilities if you account for codominance on the silver hair.

Reeking boxes are your answer, summon risen to fight against, also downloading the DLC maps to play as they give off a fair amount of EXP.
Also try pairing characters with your Avatar unit, as the Veteran skill he/she get's will give out a little more EXP.
Although this is one hilarious recruitment of Cynthia, my personal favourite still has to be Chrom to Azure as his father.

There is other possible reasons why Cynthia might mistake the imposter as Chrom mind you. 1. She was too young too remember what Chrom looked like when he died, 2. She doesn't recognize a younger version of Chrom, 3. She simply didn't see him enough in her timeline to get a clearer picture of him (there was a freaking war going on I don't think even Chrom have time to look after his family!) and 4. The Japanese version probably said something else.
I put the battle on auto and chrom killed her :(
Plus I made a mistake by saving after that battle, so is it possible to still get her through the other future children's maps or not at all??

With her wording, technically it can be interpreted as what she THINKS Chrom would do, rather than what he did. So the part about her never meeting him is still viable.
Her voice isn't high pitched in English, so your nitpick is moot. It's the fact that she SCREAAAMS "I MISSED YOU SOOOOO MUUUUCH" is why his ears was hurting.

geez i have been TRYING to recruit her for a while now and no matter what i do she just keeps Dying! and her mother Sumia is at lv 8 and Cynthia is level ten but still she Dies,what am i missing?
If Sumia is lv 8, and has never promoted or reclassed, there's your issue. Usually you want your units to be at a high level for their children to have better stats. If Sumia is lv 8, and her father isn't extremely overleveled, Cynthia's starting stats will be garbage, and that's why she's so difficult to recruit.

both of her Parents are the same Level with each other and i never Reclassed her father yet until i had to pair one of my Units who had Gale force with Chrom or Sumia to even get them up to her. and i had to have them weaponless and Prey on their Luck and Speed Stats to dodge Cynthia's attacks -.-' only then i was able to get her! Geez!

Late by two years, but it's Galeforce, which allows a unit to make another move if they manage to kill an enemy in the player phase, but only once per turn. The skill is unlocked at Level 15 for Dark Fliers, so it's mostly exclusive to females who can access the Pegasus Knight class (either by default or through reclassing), but in the case of males, it can be inherited from their mother if she has it as the skill equipped at the bottom of the list.
