Anyone who is actually offended by this video is *strongly* encouraged to unsubscribe and watch something else. My goal here was to have FUN and celebrate a silly milestone. I won't be compromising my art, expression or any occasional joke at the end of a video for the sake of people who lack a sense of humor.
I had JUST fallen sleep when the last video came on, I woke up to the voice of satan and nearly shit myself. I looked at the video and was like “what in the Sam hell is going on here? It’s an 80’s commercial compilation!” and I totally forgot about it until just now.
Commenting on an old video but that ending was awesome. I do love reading the notes you leave in the descriptions when things are notable, but that ending, you deserved to get to do that for making that many quality videos!
I was 4 years old and i remember the heath bar commercial...i didnt know any better and asked if i could have one for christmas lol...well i did get it..great memories..
07:22 - Voice Over: "Award award winner Christopher Walken." Producer Bruce Dickinson: "We need more cowbell." 03:41 - Almost thought that was Brian Backer.
Sorry for the language but that last 20 seconds is genius, f@#king genius! Being from Australia these commercials are all new to me, but I find these commercials very soothing, not sure why. And keep up the good work, especially not compromising your principles.
This was also recorded during winter, when there are typically a lot less new releases at movie theaters. Most of the movies advertised here were released in December, 1980.
man I can't imagine how much getting those stars for the Atari had would've cost... also man how amazing would it have been to see Bruce Lee in theaters?! freakin bad ass! also I loved the ending, hahaha!
Yeah to get Abdul-Jabbar, Andretti, and Pele on the same TV spot must have cost them a pretty penny. And then you look at what would happen in the next couple of fiscal years and question those decisions even more...
I think Tame was very successful in The Great Frizzie War of '78! But it couldn't stand up to the Greasies! As far as the Larry's ad again, as he said, YOU'RE THE BOSS! And the ending, I think we need to cut to another reference to the 1988 Devil Worship special again!
I've actually posted several volumes recorded from WJZ...all taken from 1980-81 broadcasts of "Fridays": ua-cam.com/video/WN4Y0YYvJJw/v-deo.html ua-cam.com/video/10_bmVyMyMM/v-deo.html ua-cam.com/video/ymlZdpeApNQ/v-deo.html ua-cam.com/video/yz1tLN0u0zo/v-deo.html ua-cam.com/video/g5uxnY01qQY/v-deo.html ua-cam.com/video/fW06G2_vYg8/v-deo.html
Amy blew off Steven Spielberg's advances around this time, which kept her from being in Raiders of the Lost Ark. Amy and Steven got back together for a few years later in the 80s,
I usually don't watch the ones that are older than I am, just the ones I might remember. But I made an exception for this vid because 666! Haha! Dark Prince is HERE!
I bet the points in the video where you marked them as "???" in the description are times when Satan decided to mess with the broadcast and added what he wanted to the video.
Congrats on 666 devilish videos! I can now say that 9 to 5 was one of the first films that I saw on video first before seeing in theatres. I distinctly remember seeing it during this 1981 reissue. "Intimate Strangers" was pretty serious stuff, and Dennis Weaver was a long way from Chester Goode in "Gunsmoke" in that one. "Tess" didn't win any Oscars for acting, that's for sure. Replay Gum...I vaguely remember this? I thought Freshen Up was good enough, along with Bubble Yum! "I gun people down after I put my pants on one leg at at time" - Christopher Walken in "The Dogs of War." After that movie ad, I determined this was WJZ Channel 13 in Baltimore. Yuppies, Tennis and Michelob Light...yes, this is the 80s! Magic Johnson looks so young here, but of course he was. $4400 for a new Datsun, that's pretty awesome! My brother and I saw all sorts of Bruce Lee movies, I guess they didn't check IDs back in 1981? I think we can do better than Larry's Chevrolet. I couldn't see anything wrong with that woman's hair in the Agree commercial. Bowling, a truly American sport, where they encourage you to get hammered and throw heavy balls down a lane. I think Larry and the Bedding Barn had the same producers for their ad. "Frau Farbissina, founder of the Militant wing of the Salvation Army." Well, that was disturbing. Thanks for all the great videos!
You’re absolutely right as usual, it must have taken a couple years to release it on video, but I did end up seeing the rerelease (maybe 1982? It all blended together).
@@YodaPagoda It's ok, the mistake is understandable. A lot of the movies advertised here were late 1980 releases and it can be confusing when you forget that movies played in theaters for months back then.
9 To 5-this movie definitely wouldnt fly today in the wake of the #metoo movement My Bloody Valentine-original was much better than the remake ABC World News Tonight-r.i.p Frank Reynolds Intimate Strangers-McCloud as a wife-beater..thats not like him Tess-movie shouldve had a R rating The Dogs of War-what a Call Of Duty game would look like if Chris Walken were the lead character Devil and Max Devlin-Elliot Gould probably has some interesting stories to tell about his co-star.. So if that ending was any indication,i should be getting a phone call in SEVEN DAYS!
Re: "9 to 5"...the movie is about three independent women getting even with their sexually harassing boss, who is portrayed as an overblown comedic stereotype of male privilege and chauvinism. The movie is essentially the "me too" movement encapsulated. I fail to see how anything about it "wouldn't fly today".

OMG!!! An original My Bloody Valentine trailer! Made my day!
Pizza Hut was actually good when I was a kid in the 70s
I love seeing that weird transition from the 70’s to the 80’s in these commercials.....
The title, it has finally happened. 😳
JayGrey EEEEEEEEVIIIILLLLLL
Well, this turned into an Everything Is Terrible video at the end
I was 4 years old and i remember the heath bar commercial...i didnt know any better and asked if i could have one for christmas lol...well i did get it..great memories..

*EVIL!!!*
07:22 - Voice Over: "Award award winner Christopher Walken."
Producer Bruce Dickinson: "We need more cowbell."
03:41 - Almost thought that was Brian Backer.
I legit thought that ending was from an actual horror movie at first. Then I saw the number.
That ending wasn't at all creepy... :o
Loved the volume number, too!
I think I might have nightmares tonight...
The ending is just too good for Vol. 666 lol
2:37 "You may not be thinking about pizza first thing in the morning..."
Ehehehe...pizza's a breakfast food now.

I'd forgotten all about Replay gum!
I love the 1980s!
The ending was evil. This episode of 80'sCommercialVault is brought to you by ... THE DEVIL.
Back then, movies in theaters stayed there for like 4 to 6 months
This was also recorded during winter, when there are typically a lot less new releases at movie theaters. Most of the movies advertised here were released in December, 1980.
1:42 - This Eyewitness News promo seems more like a promo for a sitcom about a likable but mismatched couple.
Awesome ad for Atari!
1 in 10 hairdressers AGREE, if you TAME your frizzies, then you'll have the greasies!
Pizza hut sucks now.
man I can't imagine how much getting those stars for the Atari had would've cost... also man how amazing would it have been to see Bruce Lee in theaters?! freakin bad ass! also I loved the ending, hahaha!

A ton of movie promos, and a random Christopher Walken at 7:16? You are too good to us.
Been watching these videos for years. Loved the ending!!
I showed my mom this and we both commented how so many of these brands no longer exist.
That ending was awesome!
25:22 Vol. 666 - This video is cursed - CONFIRMED!
and the day the commercials were from was indeed a friday the 13th
Kind of interesting/ironic that there’s a Salvation Army ad here on Video 666...
Hush 🤫
Finally! An upload from my hometown tv station... from the year I was born... and it's upload #666. Coincidence? I think not, mwuhahahaaha

Hard to believe I survived these commercials as a kid.
Still way better than commercials today.
*_Grats on 666, your channel is officially cursed! :D_*
I knew Kathie Lee was evil.
These aired just 11 short days before my first ever birthday.
~AS ABOVE SO BELOW~ HAIL Lucifer/Satan Absolute favorite volume 25:24/26:16 Good stuff! Thank you for this treat :)
Hahaha at the end. Congrats on 666 videos.

Me at the end of the video: “WHAT FRESH HELL IS TH-oh wait, it’s vol 666.”
I am burning through these in order and the end on this one startled me...666 hail Satan!
And a happy Ave Satanas to you, my friend!
I love this channel so, so much. Hail Satan to you too!
At 11:41, the man with the moustache in the background doesn't help matters.

"9 to 5" here wasn't a reissue. It was released on December 19th, 1980...this was around two months into its initial theatrical release.
You’re absolutely right as usual, it must have taken a couple years to release it on video, but I did end up seeing the rerelease (maybe 1982? It all blended together).
