Thanks for including the end credits for Police Squad! This was one of my favorites from the 80s. I watched for the sight gags, but didn't catch some of the running jokes such as repeatedly sending Sally Decker to Statesville prison. What a great volume!
Police Squad reminds me of the glory days of spoof movies, where they truly went for broke, and didn't just reference stuff constantly without bothering to poke fun at them. The team behind Airplane!, Police Squad and The Naked Gun were truly brilliant at the time. Nobody was doing comedy like this, and nobody has been able to top it.
It's good to know there's a show called Police Squad even if it's short lived. You're right when you said the epilogue & end credits were memorable & funny, especially when the guy in the 2nd one uncuffs himself and tries to escape but can't. Also, Lynda Carter looks so gorgeous in the Maybelline lipstick ad.
In the summer of 1991 to coincide with the 2nd Naked Gun movie, CBS reran the few episodes of Police Squad that were made. I remember watching them because after that there was Toon Nite, a special featuring an episode from CBS' then Saturday morning animated lineup also mixed in with their Looney Toons and Peanuts specials.
never realized police squad didn't even last that long! all I remember about it is the title card never matched the narration, LOL! (forgot about the fake freeze-frame at the end though)
Where Were You?-still in my mother's womb during the events profiled on this show Maybelline-i think ill take a cold shower after watching this ad.. That's Incredible-guess the bicycle was the last thing he ever ate Police Squad-chimpanzee said"No more of this show for me,i quit!!" TJ Hooker-"HOOKER,HELP!!"-surely there had to have been someone out there who saw that guy take out the butcher knife

Hot Shots was a favorite of mine.
23. Oh Wiliam. Even when playing a cop! You make it look funny!
The seamless flow from the end of vol 666 to this episode is incredible.

6:12 To paraphrase Todd in the Shadows, "because it's the 80s and we piled celebrities on top of each other."
I wish that I could find Lynda Carter in my swimming pool
