I drove a Mustang for over 12 years. And I loved it. Now I’ve been driving an F-Type for the last 7 and it is, without a doubt, one of the fastest, sexiest machines on the road. Driving a Mustang was always fun. But driving an F-Type is what I’d call an experience. There’s an undeniable sense of power as this cat roars around a curve, and you can’t help seeing the world in a whole different way. I have owned 2 Jags now and I can’t say enough about how incredible and beautiful these rare cars are. My first vehicle was a used 1972 Datsun 240z (which are ironically similar in design). That’s probably where the Jag love affair began. It took many years of education and a lot of hard work to finally afford this baby and she’s worth every penny. Not that a girl wouldn’t glance twice at a hottie in a Mustang….just sayin’ :)
My favorite four options are F-type SVR, CLS 63 AMG S (my previous twin turbo burned), Rapide S or AMG GT 63 S (technically looks better). Ever driven any of those others? Dogs have to ride in the Ram 2500 :)
Absolute, the Jag is beautiful car. I like any car that’s nice. I’ve had high end cars and I enjoyed the technology and speed but I also appreciate the modern muscle car as they’re fun to drive and they make you concentrate:)
I know people make fun of Jaguars (over the last few decades there was a lot of reasons people had to do so), but this is actually a pretty damn good performance car, hopefully the maintenance issues will not be there.
I own a 2014 F-Type V8S convertible as a daily driver. 488 BHP and RWD, Every trip is a total joy, even tootling to the supermarket in midwinter. They are very useable cars, and monsters if unleashed. The AWD cars will obviously be even more useable. As to reliability issues, I have had none. It is maintained correctly, driven properly and has only had a couple of issues, a leaking diff seal and a small coolant leak, both fixed at very reasonable cost. These cars are very high performance and so there will be some ongoing maintenance costs, but the joy of the car pays those back several fold. In 45+ years of driving I have owned many cars, including 5 previous Jags, but the F is the best by far and will probably be the last car I ever buy.
Sorry, just seeing this comment. Yes, stock it was high 11's, can't remember the exact numbers now. Since this video, I have ran a 10.98 (did not get it on video) and run pretty consistently in the low 11's. I am getting ready to do the VAP Stage 3 (upper pulley and tune), so I am thinking we should be consistently in the high 10's at that point.
@@ftyper Be advisted that a larger TVS 2300 supercharger is being developed. I'm eyeing an AWD in Florida right now (been damaged). Google JLR AJ133 V8 TVS2300 Supercharger Harrop. My last project car a biturbo Mercedes burned in a California wildfire but it was a 10 second beast. All the mods were already done so I scooped up a bargain, then lost it to fire.
My two favourite cars. I would think the jag is quite a bit more expensive so if you take that into account the Mustang is good value for the performance and presence.
I smoked the svr f pace today in my 2024 mustang gt it’s the 10 speed. I think if it wasn’t the suv and instead this coupe I would have lost but it would have been close

@@WillEvo22 but have you tried the technique all you have to do is going at 40 mph let go of the gas put it on sports transmission then downshift one time and the rpms will go like at 4 and then press the gas and once rpms go at 6 or 7 change the transmission off sports and you will feel a big difference
That mustang with them wheels has the pp2 option (big pp) which means it's manual only. I'm surprised mah boi was able to keep up that well with less power and the shitty mt82

Half of the stuff about XK's have made up numbers and haven't been tested for crash ratings or anything to know the exacts specs of the XK models and that's why i love these versions of Jags so much cause people don't really know what they're up against until you show them they bought the wrong car

That's kind of the secret. The front and side profile in front are very understated and easily mistaken for something it's not to the untrained eye and somebody that has never encountered one. I remember getting walked by one years ago getting on the freeway while in my WS6 (~395 rwhp w/ all the boltons). The back is unmistakably unique as it walks away from you (and it will), and then the exhaust note and pops and crackles add insult to injury as you wonder what just happened. I said that day I'd have one, and now I do. They are a beast bone stock from the factory. 0-60 in 3.5s.
No. At the time of this video. I was running Velocity AP stage 2 tune, lower crank pulley and 200 cel cats. I’ve since upgraded to their TCU tune and new coolant pump on the way before my next set of runs.

@@bart8dwa It all depends on driving habits. If I am not in dynamic mode and non-sport mode, I can average up to 30mpg, if I am dynamic and sport mode, it is more like 12mpg. I would estimate around 300-350 miles on a full tank of gas with mixed driving styles. Granted, I try to only show up to the track with less than 1/4 tank of gas. F-Type have a great tool to give approximate percentage of fuel remaining. Around 15-20% is ideal to show up to track with. Unfortunately, that means needed to refuel after the runs are over as I live over an hour away from the local track I go to.

I take 5.0 ten speed with my v6s mostly on digs and when you roll race do it on 35 or 40 then down shift to 2nd gear and you will heat them
