Oh , Bassam brother when I was anxiously watching Egyptians at the Taharir square I was telling myself it can be chained ever ?! Took a week off work I couldn’t abandon them on the Tahriar SQ it was paining my soul: organization, determination, responsibilities: cleaning after themselves collecting tiny pieces but the left leave me in my puzzle asking what happened to the major Goal? Please both of u have a show on it . I am Egyptian like u but not Egyptian like everyone else. I am sick of wrong and injustice to my core! When I found few like u 2 I shut the door and sit listening by cell cell of my physical body and soul tired wrong! So do not give up Allah gives u power do not abandon us. Look at the youth thirst for justice!

Well, he is plant based. Being vegan is not a diet. It means you avoid, as far as possible, all kinds of exploitation and harm to animals. This also includes clothes, cosmetics and so on without exceptions. He said he eat fish some times, so he is more of a pescatarian. He do it for "his" health not for the well being of the animals.

If there is a freedom of speech we call it democracy. But if that speech has no effect on policy making what is the point of having democracy, or may be democracy is no longer a viable way of having participatory governance.

Watching you two is like imagining a conversation between Ibn Sina and al Khawrizmi in Western clothing. 😅. Such disturbing topics covered with such informed discourse. May Almighty bring enlightenment and peace back to normal for everyone.

Most of Bassem’s views are spot on, however one thing I disagree with, If we were truly in charge, including the maniacs that seem to be at the helm, we would have destroyed ourselves a long time ago, there is a power unlike anything we can conceive behind every appearance..the power that brought about trillions of stars,
in this illusion we call existence things happen to make us aware of our need to pay attention and understand ourselves, not to torture and torment human beings..there will always be those who do..there will always be hope.

I was really waiting and hoping that Mo would speak out about the horrors that are going on. I am very disappointed about the extremely mild approach to even remotely addressing exactly what is going on in Gaza. There is no my truth your truth about this. I understand for people like Mo wanting to stay neutral in order not to offend anyone But this is something that we can no longer ignore and everyone must have a stance on. The people of Gaza are being
Slaughtered and we should condemn it and talk about it as much as possible. For those who would say this is not the platform for that because #Unstressable I would respond that No matter how dark the event of life are or how much this would stress us out or even depress us. I believe it is inhumane to close our eyes on what’s going on for the price of our own tranquillity.

We are dependent on our humanness (morals/values) to ensure AI does not destroy but enhance our world… A BIG Ask

The problem with waxing rhapsodic about AI and other tech is we never get to the discussion about WHO controls it and WHY. The glib "you will lose your job" is scary, and the only way to control tech for the common good is via socialism, where PEOPLE matter first, and all tech is for the people's benefit.
