    I've been consistently following and amateurishly trying to copy, I did good pretty good on edges, cuz that's the first thing real leather men look at (what you said). Thanks for staying faithful in your instruction vids.

    Yes man glad your back, life is always throwing curve balls at us! This came just in time as I am building a pouch/taco sheath, second build actually as the handle is an inch thick and i didnt add a second welt. I will add this for sure, I like the optional angels! Thank you sir!!! Totally looking forward to what you have coming. You have definitely changed the way I do my leather craft! Sincerely Grasshopper....

    George,
    I really enjoy how you present your content during your videos. You make leather design and construction of your projects very easy to follow.
    I haven’t made any knife sheaths yet utilizing your approach, but I will be referencing your videos on my next build.
    I have question in reference to your makers stamp.
    Your makers stamp looks very nice. If you don’t mind, where did you have your makers stamp made?
    Would you share that information?
    Thank you for you time and your excellent video’s and knowledge.

    Is there any way to cut semi-circle slots for infinite cant adjustment or do you need to punch holes at a predetermined angle (or multiple holes at the clock angles)? Also, that system should also work with your more complex sheaths (not the "taco"). Good vid! I will be trying this.

    • @viktorgeorge9144
      @viktorgeorge9144  Рік тому +1

      Thanks Jeff I always appreciate sheath banter. The only way I have done these is with the holes to angle the sheath Many angle variations to choose. Normally I get asked for 3 positions I think someone smarter then me could design something more efficient 😂

    Excellent work George ! I just did a blade with your builds ! Turned out nice but I added a little bit more to pattern for the customers request and braided the welt around the front & back pieces . Turned out a nice but back belt loop I designed for it was no fun ! Will use this style that ya showed here in the future, thanks again , would like to send you a pic of it for you to comment on .? Don't know how have ta work on that somehow ?

    Great idea.
    One question. When you add the lock tight, does that make it harder to change the position or will a standard screw driver just undo the placement and you can add more lock tight on the new position. Thanks!

    • @viktorgeorge9144
      @viktorgeorge9144  Рік тому +1

      Thanks for the engagement Yes the “blue” loctite can be undone with a good fitting screwdriver ( unlike the one I used on the video😉) Red loctite is almost permanent from what I’m told. I only use blue

These are also available at SpringfieldLeather Co or Tandy. Online searches yield many sources like buckleguy.com Best of luck and have fun

    I love this episode. I made this pattern and it worked out very well. Could you demonstrate how to design a knife sheath for a knife that does not have a straight handle. Like a slightly curved offset handle to the blade. Just cuz all knives don’t have straight handles. Thank you. Jim Trantham, Prescott, Az.

      Hello Jim Thanks for the kind words They are so appreciated
      What type of sheath for a curved handled knife are you interested in?

    • @jimtrantham1195
      @jimtrantham1195 9 місяців тому +1

      @@viktorgeorge9144 most any kind of sheath. I’m finding when I make a sheath for a knife with a curved handle the spine of the blade doesn’t necessarily lay straight against the sheath causing gaps inside. I really like your welting design ideas and I think that might solve some of the looseness fitting. Also a knife that has a slightly curved blade causes issues as well…. I’ve watched everyone of your videos and have discovered many many useful ideas and skills that improve my construction methods. I know the leather craft community can gain great insights from accomplished craftsman as yourself. Thank you for sharing your expertise. Jim

    So I did learn a lot during this build... and that's to dye the leather before cutting out the circles .... I dyed after and they lost the roundness... and to be totally honest ... I built the positive lock but as you said in one of your videos 'trust in the pattern' and i questioned it and I decided the rise was to much so I trimmed it out a little and now it doesn't get that positive lock LOL oh and I wind up making it left handed something i totally wasn't even thinking about which is fine but i tooled the leather and it looks great .... epic fail maybe... many lessons learned absolutely... it would be nice if i could post a picture of it cause it does look really cool...
