      This is exactly why I am currently losing weight. I eat the foods I love. I just watch how many calories I eat of said food, in a day. The only thing I changed, was drinking water and I laid off soda(not completely, but it has been over a half a year since I had one. I mainly drink water and fat free milk for my cereal. This is what this guy in the video, is not telling you. I currently have lost a pound shy of 70 pounds.

    No specific food makes you fat, but some foods increase your appetite with little nutritional value. A typical peanut butter jelly sandwich has processed peanut butter with added oils and sugar, jelly with added sugar and refined white bread. Switching to wholegrain or rye bread, using fresh strawberries instead of jelly and choosing a natural peanut butter with no added oil or sugar and measuring portions would give you better nutrition and would be equally as tasty as the refined version. It's not the foods themselves, it's how they are eaten and it's the foods added together. Making small decisions when it comes to things like this are key to big changes, and you never need to cut out any kind of food from your diet.

    • @buffkangaroodog

Besides using a low calorie/higher protein bread, I use sugar free jam and I make my own peanut butter spread using powdered pb, a fourth of a serving of peanut butter protein powder, punch a salt and a little monk fruit. Mix in flour (or plain protein powder) to mashed squash until a dough forms.
    Let dough rest in frig.
    Form into 1/2 cup balls, adding flour if too sticky. Then roll into round flat spheres.
    Cook I. Med-high pan until toasted, flip and toast the other side.

Use protein peanut butter, Dave’s bread, sugar free preserves + fiber or local honey, you could sprinkle some flax or chia seeds, or some slivered almonds or crushed picans or toasted coconut, or some fresh berries… you don’t have to just eat tuna especially if tuna ain’t your thing

    Besides the calories, we also have to keep in mind the sodium content, nutrition content, and added sugars content. Majority of the packaged foods in our grocery stores are processed and nutrition-deficient which is partly why we over consume them. Nutritious foods are healthier and more satiating. They usually are uncooked, raw, fresh, unpackaged, and require actual prep before eating.

    The sodium per tortilla is high if you eat 2 thats 600 mg of sodium. it’s in the tuna as well and the condiments used to make the tuna. Sodium Consumption should be 1000-1500 daily . Ppl out her ODing in Sodium. Average American consumes over 3000 mg daily easily. Deadly cause of BP…. Balance : protein, sugar, and sodium is an important trifecta in reading the ingredients as well portions control. We got this y’all 💪

    • @buffkangaroodog
      @buffkangaroodog Рік тому

      Recommended is up to 2500mg, not 1500. As long as you drink enough water it isn’t much of an issue to go a little over (and if you’re working out and trying to lose fat you should be drinking loads of water)

    • @bamapride31599
      @bamapride31599 Рік тому +1

      That recommended is for someone who is not consistently exercising and drinking the bare minimum amount of water. During my bulk where I gained 25 pounds my blood pressure was exactly 120 over 80 even though I was eating at least 2000 mg everyday and sometimes higher when I ate at chipotle throughout the week. It truly depends on your weight, activity level, age, and water intake for how much sodium is ok specifically for your body.

    I honestly get the big pouch of tuna and just doused that with hot sauce. Been living in a dorm at the age of 26, so definitely better to get that protein in instead of a cup of ramen like I used to. I also hate it sometimes when things say heart healthy, but are loaded with sugar. It’s only because it’s low in cholesterol and fat, but a lot are still high in sugar. Welch’s was even sued and lost a class action suit because they said it was heart healthy. High amounts of sugar are bad.
