I was a lucky fan that got to see Ozzy multiple times in the Eighties. Even then, I remember thinking he looked like a 90 year old dementia patient shuffling down the street after escaping through an unattended door of the nursing home. Our girl was spot on. His motion never really matched what was coming out of his mouth. :-)
Randy never joined Ozzy until he was 22, the album Blizzard of OZ was released in 80 , Randy Rhoades began playing guitar around age 7 or 8 Mother owned and ran a music school, as Randy got older he began teaching, He and Kevin Dubro formed the first line up of The band Quiet Riot, Then he auditioned for Ozzy sometime around 79,he died at the age of 25 in a plane crash in Florida in 81
I understand, just by looking at him, you would never think that awesome voice could be coming from him. He is one of the most amazing singers I have ever heard.
I remember back when I was at Great Lakes Naval Training Station in the early 80s. I was 18 years old, just graduated boot camp and was in my A-School. I had just bought a radio shack stereo with some nice speakers. In my barracks building, it was 6am and we were all getting up and getting ready to go to our classes. I put in Ozzy's CD and cranked it up. From dead silence in building to Ozzy at full volume... "ALL ABOARD!!!!" Everyone came running, "holy crap! what was that???"

A Happy belated birthday to your daughter! I am curious if you ever happened to catch the clip from Ozzy and his son Jacks show, "Ozzy and Jack's World Detour" where they go to Iron Mountain and listen to the unmixed master tape of Crazy Train from 1980. It's a good glimpse into how deeply Randy's death effected Ozzy then, and even now you can see that pain warring with the good memories.
If you've not, just search for "Longer Version Of Ozzy Talks About Randy Rhoads And Hears Unheard Crazy Train Master Tape" it's probably the best sounding clip from the show floating around.
Saw Ozzy in concert (got lucky to see him, Rob Zombie, and In This Moment on Halloween about a decade ago) and say what you want about his tendencies (walk up to the mic, sing, take mic off and walk to his left, clap hands and sing, walk back and place the mic back on the stand, sing, take mic off stand and walk right, sing, walk back to the stand...rinse and repeat lol )... you're not there to watch Ozzy sing... you're there to HEAR Ozzy sing. Seeing him is just a bonus.

No Randy Rhoads died when the small plane they were boarding caught on fire . The drummer was right behind Rhoads but didn't board the plane yet, he tried to save him (and the pilot) but the flames were too much he couldn't get close so he could only helplessly watch as they both died. He was traumatized from hearing the screams for a long time. That drummer was Tommi Aldridge.
Its has always been a great Ozzy song but the significance behind it after the world lost Randy Rhoads at just 25 years of age. He was only performing for 10 years and he left such a mark that even today alot of guitarists strive for. Randy was a true legend. Happy 14th birthday to your daughter also mate.
In the official music video, he has Zac Wild playing Randy’s part. Also they show images of Rhodes, some with Ozzy and him together, the song takes on a different meaning.
I saw Ozzy with Randy Rhodes. Probably a few years before this performance. Ozzy is animated here. When I saw him he spent most of the time at the mic stand. Would take the mic out, take a few steps then put it back. I called it his lithium shuffle.
My favourite Ozzy song is Perry Mason. The first time I really listened to Ozzy (after GTA and his tv show) I bought his greatest hits and Perry Mason just stood out for me. If you plan on showing either of your kids that song you will need to explain who Perry Mason is, they won't have a clue
It's interesting how much better you can understand Ozzy when he sings, but when he talks, you can't make out a word most of the time. Not another one like him out there, there might never be.
Glitch in the Matrix Multi-Media "War Pigs" live Paris 1970- the most iconic Black Sabath early show. She could see how Ozzy looks and sings when he was young, and suprisingly handsome. This is my fav song and fav show, and i think you both would like it.
I know you guys have only started your journey on music with your daughter, I myself am 16 a tad older and you've been doing alot of metal and rock and I seen your reactions on the doors and think maybe you should show her this psychedelic punk band it's a bit newer but they're called "the wytches" their song Digsaw,, can everyone kinda like this comment so he can see?
Now i like this song very much, because of the background story you told about the song. TY The reason why Ozzy moves like that is, someone operates him remotely because he's under influence ;-)
Interesting to see the parallel's between You and your Daughter, I and my son. Lol He mostly likes Rap, however, like your Daughter is very intelligent and recognizes talent when He see's it. He likes Ozzy and various other artist from my era. Nice channel you two have here, I will be stopping by from time to time to check Ya's out.
No you are wrong about ur info on Randy Rhoads, he began Jammin with Quite riot before he went to Ozzy, in 1979 he was called to audition but didn't want to, he eventually went and got the job in 1980 Blizzard of Oz was released by that time he was 23, 24 years old, on March 1982 he died and was 25 years old. many serious believe if he had stayed with Kevin DuBrow and Quiet Riot he'd still be alive
Thanks for the notes, I try to get the facts straight, I realized I made it seem he was younger afterwards, I just knew he started out really young, thanks for the facts.
I seen ozzy at Oz Fest in 98 and he needed knee pads because whenever he jumped in the air he almost fell and caught himself by landing on his knees !! Awesome concert
The part where you mention about when Ozzy speaks and he’s almost mumbling, but when he’s on stage he kills it, I saw him 2 years ago (Download Festival 2018) and you always wonder with his age, his health, his lifestyle during his heyday, just how he manages to keep going, but it’s like the moment he gets on stage he becomes Ozzy fkn Osbourne, The Prince Of fkn Darkness! He comes alive as if someone just jolted him with 10,000 volts of electricity. Really hope he is able to continue his tour this year, the show I have a ticket for has been postponed 2-3 times now due to him suffering from Parkinson’s disease. Glad to see this song was a success 🤘🏻
Looking at Ozzy's outfit and hair it is very obvious that this was from the 1980's. This look usually shocks people who became fan's in the later years. I actually liked Ozzy with blond hair.
The pilot/bus driver had cocaine in his system, but Randy and Rachel Youngblood didn't. Randy only had nicotine in his system, according to the coroner.
Just had a funny thought. I remember watching a more recent interview in which Ozzy talks about his 80's look and how people later on said to him '' What were you thinking man. '' LOL
Great music, I think her comments are valid. I think a lot of out there used to think how does he function. Starting to think in the right direction young lady.
My favorite album for me will always be "No More Tears." One of those albums that I can listen over and over again. Something about the quality of each song just takes me to a 'comfort' state of mind. Love it.
I'm from Savannah, and I remember my mom telling me a story. Back in the 80's Ozzy was on tour and was coming to Savannah. All of the church's in the city stopped him from coming because he bit the head off of a bat live on stage.
So Ozzy, what drugs did you use?
Ozzy: “Yes”
bwahahahahha
Ozzy: "There are drugs? No, I did them all I think."
*Keith Richard from the corner*: "Amateur"
The question should be, What drugs didn't he/them take?
😂
"Fourteen"?? Happy Birthday!!

I saw Ozzy with Randy Rhodes. Probably a few years before this performance. Ozzy is animated here. When I saw him he spent most of the time at the mic stand. Would take the mic out, take a few steps then put it back. I called it his lithium shuffle.
8:15 trying to figure out another way to say Ozzy was always high as hell
My favourite Ozzy song is Perry Mason. The first time I really listened to Ozzy (after GTA and his tv show) I bought his greatest hits and Perry Mason just stood out for me. If you plan on showing either of your kids that song you will need to explain who Perry Mason is, they won't have a clue
Still awesome videos dude! Didn't miss a beat. Keep on rockin
Happy birthday!!!
It's interesting how much better you can understand Ozzy when he sings, but when he talks, you can't make out a word most of the time. Not another one like him out there, there might never be.
You should have played a clip for her of Ozzy talking.
I remember this concert, it was on MTV (Back when they played music). This is the concert where they hang the midget during Goodbye To Romance
The best part of these videos is watching her listen to her dad talk and looking like she is in a boring lecture at school. 😆😆😆
Priceless! you should react to some early Ozzy- War Pigs would be a good one. Happy belated birthday! 😁👍
Nice suggestion, thanks for the birthday note.
Glitch in the Matrix Multi-Media "War Pigs" live Paris 1970- the most iconic Black Sabath early show. She could see how Ozzy looks and sings when he was young, and suprisingly handsome. This is my fav song and fav show, and i think you both would like it.
When I hear this song I think of social change, and people living as foes, not loving each other as Christ taught us to
Happy belated Birthday Fourteen! 😁 You share a birthday with my cousin!
He still nailed a bunch of songs that most of the youth loved.
Actually Randy was In Quiet Riot b4 he was with Ozzy OsbourNe and his family owned a music store and he could play violin and other instruments.
Now i like this song very much, because of the background story you told about the song. TY
The reason why Ozzy moves like that is, someone operates him remotely because he's under influence ;-)
Me too ! TY FOR DOING OZZIE
Salvador Saucedo Rudy Sarzo went with him
Thanks for the notes, I try to get the facts straight, I realized I made it seem he was younger afterwards, I just knew he started out really young, thanks for the facts.
You need to show her the . after hours version of this song so she can see who Randy rhoads was.
I seen ozzy at Oz Fest in 98 and he needed knee pads because whenever he jumped in the air he almost fell and caught himself by landing on his knees !! Awesome concert
Ozzy turns into a fan while not singing on stage, he cheers on his band members when they’re shredding🤘🏽
Happy birthday!
Thank for happy b-day note!
@@GlitchintheMatrixMultiMedia no problem! Have a great rest of your guy's day!
Looking at Ozzy's outfit and hair it is very obvious that this was from the 1980's. This look usually shocks people who became fan's in the later years. I actually liked Ozzy with blond hair.
She had a few " McKayla is not impressed " moments so I was somewhat surprised she liked it but, happy she did. Happy Birthday!
Lol, thanks
I absolutely Love love ❤️ Ozzy. My high school graduation SONG! Freakin’ Amazing 😉 Thank you for posting!
The pilot/bus driver had cocaine in his system, but Randy and Rachel Youngblood didn't.
Randy only had nicotine in his system, according to the coroner.
So hard to not bop your head to this 🙌🏽
Just had a funny thought. I remember watching a more recent interview in which Ozzy talks about his 80's look and how people later on said to him '' What were you thinking man. '' LOL
It's so dang hilarious seeing her trying to hold in her laughter over Ozzy's awkwardness hahahaha
Yay!! Happy Birthday to you!! :-)
Kids will remember you as a great Dad
Great music, I think her comments are valid. I think a lot of out there used to think how does he function. Starting to think in the right direction young lady.
Thanks for the comment
Happy Birthday kiddo!!!!!
Ozzy is a gateway (drug) into metal, he got me into metal as well back in the early 80s.
14 year old reacts now I suppose a happy birthday is in order. 👍
My favorite album for me will always be "No More Tears." One of those albums that I can listen over and over again. Something about the quality of each song just takes me to a 'comfort' state of mind. Love it.
I love how you say, hes the dark one hes just killing it 👌🏼🙌🏼 this is great!
I'm from Savannah, and I remember my mom telling me a story. Back in the 80's Ozzy was on tour and was coming to Savannah. All of the church's in the city stopped him from coming because he bit the head off of a bat live on stage.
Scombs 654 that sucked, look on the bright side, you have a gorgeous city
