often if 2 people drift apart in their personal development, both drag each other down, by not wanting to let go

This is true... I've been distancing myself from a lot of people lately. I just feel like I've grown apart from them, and I'm not coming back. I just silently cut em off my life.

It’s amazing this video surfaced without me searching. Had what I thought was friend for thirty years as long as I did business with him. After being mistreated and lied to, I decided not to do business with him again. When I thought our “Friendship” was worth more than money/ business, He told me there’s no reason to see each other anymore. Not going to lie, it’s hurtful and makes me think that I was manipulated to stay in it for his gain. Horribly selfish, However I ask God for peace for me, and him

Any person 'comfortable' lying to someone in front of you, will rarely hesitate to lie to you as well.....If you will tolerate them at a 'lower standard' you too can be 'fooled' by their re-arranged words.

All relationships come to an end... "Oh and I have moved and I've kept on moving
Proved the points that I needed proving
Lost the friends that I needed losing, found others on the way..." D Maclean

20/20 hind site is amazingly clear....has happened to most of us...relationship takes risk, and being capable of putting one's ego aside...at least for a few moments...and with time, eventually being capable of enjoying the good memories, in peace. And, Jordan is still the most awesomely reliable, concise therapist today, IMHO. Thanks.

Friendship? That is a tricky word.
Even the god in which people invest complete faith, can't be trusted ... because according to the theologians ... he is very judge-mental.
So ... if you try to live as the god lives ... you are allowed to also be judge-mental ... suspicious ... untrustworthy ... and downright devious.
What are friends for ... if they can't tell the truth about ya?

Judgment from any god, is to judge yourself with others. Is never about you judging others. That though comes from a stage 1 believer who's wisdom is very limited. Because someone with better knowledge knows is about judging yourself with others. Don't do to others what you wouldn't like those others to do with you. Or: love your neighbors as you love yourself.

GOD can be trusted. HE loves us...and HE gave us the Ten Commandments...purposely to avoid the very traits you think are okay. Man has a fallen human nature...GOD does not...and if you want pure Happiness..after your mortal death...you need to get on the right road..with the right state of mind. Salvation is for Eternity.

@@marilynbrown5274 If you had the ability to create a universe ... would suffering exist?
      You KNOW it wouldn't.
I relate to the words of Mark Twain … GOD … a God who could make good children as easily as bad, yet preferred to make bad ones; who could have made every one of them happy, yet never made a single happy one; who made them prize their bitter life, yet stingily cut it short; who gave his angels eternal happiness unearned, yet required his other children to earn it; who gave his angels painless lives, yet cursed his other children with biting miseries and maladies of mind and body; who mouths justice, and invented hell--mouths mercy, and invented hell--mouths Golden Rules and forgiveness multiplied by seventy times seven, and invented hell; who mouths morals to other people, and has none himself; who frowns upon crimes, yet commits them all; who created man without invitation, then tries to shuffle the responsibility for man's acts upon man, instead of honorably placing it where it belongs, upon himself; and finally, with altogether divine obtuseness, invites his poor abused slave to worship him!

@@marilynbrown5274 The only way (within theology) that a god could be trusted ... would be ... if the story of the theologians had been that the god was going to reward every soul that he ever created ... with eternal bliss.
Of course if the theologians had made up THAT story ... who would follow them?
      NOBODY ... that is who.
Those theologians needed your MONEY ... and FEAR of the loss of salvation ... was the way to grab a hold ON your money.

I try to avoid religious commenting. Being more atheist than a believer. Yet that this Twain-quote seems interesting in itself, it lacks covering free will. However, I am sceptical to Jesus as it seems to be an almost man-made schism ordered by the Romans. And with the old testament Moses was raised by the egyptian leadership, and might as well have copycat their leadership ways with establishing a new god Yahweh. Eating psilocybin at the foot of the mountain to get all kind of ideas flowing into his mind. I do believe there is much "we as Israel's people writings to promote the Jewish rights. I am not negative to Jews, but I am sceptical to the old testament as well.
