I feel like men need to be encouraged to actively start reading works where it's not all about self inserting. Like actively read stories with female protagonists, read stories written about women, about queer characters. As a man self insert into the stories that don't represent you on a physical level but you can definitely connect with intellectually and intimately.
you’re so right about this and it needs to be discussed more!! also i appreciate you speaking about this in such an honest way. a lot of people are afraid to talk about politics at all rn (and i understand why) but i think this level of directness is important!!
