This certainly is a rather unusual match-up, but regardless, it is a big one. Between these two cars, there's 9.4-litres of displacement sitting on the tarmac. There's also 883kW, which translates to a very large amount of horsepower.
In this quarter mile head-to-head, we pit the latest BMW X6M against the very latest Jaguar F-Type R. Both cars have blown V8s, both cars have all wheel drive, and both cars are pretty heavy, but the X6 M is an absolute hippo, weighing in at over 2.2 tonnes.
Which one will win? Only one way to find out.

No the jag winning this is fair enough. It’s more aerodynamic than the x6m which really helps at high speeds. It’s also supercharged so power shouldn’t drop off as much at the top end compared to a turbo engine

You’re right, he did not build boost in the X6M. When engaging launch control on he should have held the revs with the brake pedal and accelerator engaged for atleast 3-4 seconds and it squats and launches like a rocket. You could see clearly that it did not squat. I reckon the X6M can do 0-60 in around 3.5 seconds if launched properly.
@@eshanmirash2456 he didn't fully boost.. the car would "twerk" if he did F92's launch control is insane and the F96 has the same launch control system

A lot of cars are underrated to avoid legal problems, Mercedes does the same thing as well as others. If they say, for instance, an M4 will hit 0-60 in 3.9, then if Joe goes and buys one it has to be able to hit that (with perfect conditions) otherwise they lied. As long as it can hit their alleged numbers *or better* then they're fine

Emissions on German cars are also higher than claimed. But that does not really matter in the states
Brock ! Not BMW released 2015 and later. Their emissions are lower than what BMW claims and their performance are higher than BMW’s claims. ( all models)

I was not expecting the X6M to hold that Jag so well.
Just based on practicality and performance, I'd take the BMW. But if I didn't want people to hate me everywhere I go (and I wanted to fully realise my mid-life crisis in the process), I'd take the Jag.

A nice race! Remember before when I was small we used to push a race with a manuel car so the lunch control was clutch leg engine leg and left hand for gearsbox and right hand for cigarette. Now a new car has a computer doing lunch with you on the car and things are different. We did used to race Corolla, Cressida, citigolf (white one), XR3 and so on. Good times but techno has advanced presumably well and the era of clutch lunch is gone and now itis robo launch. I enjoyed this so much with the result that I actually had great fun winning this race!

You guys really need a better high speed camera like the phantom flex though highly expensive but worth it, and if you editing guys are good they can make amazing footage with such an advantage.

Marcelo S You’re wrong there mayte, the X6M is a little faster than the X5M due to slightly better aerodynamics. Don’t know if it also weighs a few kilograms less or they’re both the same weight but it is a bit quicker than the X5M.
