Here we go! Another Cars.co.za drag race. This time it's two monster German SUVs going head-to-head on the quarter mile (400m).
This is quite an interesting matchup. The Mercedes has the power and torque advantage, but the Audi RSQ8 is a good 200kg lighter, which will certainly help it off the line.
So sit back, grab some popcorn and enjoy this very loud, very heavy, very expensive and very close drag race.

True story! But eventually i realised its like the M1 and M2 buttons on the BMW. Preset so all the aids are disabled with one button :)

Audis 4WD system has improved so much over the years. Handles so well! But watch out for Merc and BMW though, some of their cars work SO well too.

Wow... very nice! I actually have the 2021 GLE 63s Coupe right now and it's definitely a NICE car. It's my first Mercedes but probably also my last - mainly because the service at my dealership sucks and when I'm paying this much for a car, I expect better service. So I'll have fun with it for about 2-3 years then when I am ready to trade it in for something new I will be checking out the RSQ8 and X6M. Thanks for your video.

That EQ Boost works separately and not together with ICE so the torque stays 850 not 1100nm

It’s easy to see a GLE 63 and I Personally never seen a RSQ8 and it cheaper more power and fun. So Audi for me.

I drove a lot of cars in my lifetime s65 s63 g63 c63 e63 bmw m3 m6 m5.. but the power and the kick i have now in my rsq8. Is unbelievable.. audi rs all day everyday believe me !!!
How do you get more kick from an RS Q8 compared to S65, S63 and E63??? They’re all much faster than RS Q8

This guy always have something negative to say about Merc in his reviews
Merc all day, everyday, anyday and always. The Audi just doesn't have that "thing"! Plus in other drug races, in other countries, the Merc always wins.
One review he critisized the GT 63s 4door...if you critisize the flagship of merc you basically telling us that all Mercedes are weck...then he went on to critisize A45, why does he do Mercedes reviews if he hates the brand like really come on
True that, he is paid to say negative things about Mercedes-Benz, also what people don’t get is make has reach the last of the era of combustion engine. Only now are Audi and BMW able to put out similar outputs or so. Merc AMG are now into electric/ Hybrid Motors. Just look at the Technology on the new BMW M4/M3 and look at the New C63s. A 2.0 four cylinder Hybrid engine that is pushing out over 650 BHP. BMW and Audi are only going to figure it out after four ways and then try to compete. It’s always been that way. BMW and Audi will get the last generation of Mercedes-Benz and improve on it then compete. From the ML55, to the C63 to the GLC 63 they always wait for Merc to come to an end of era for them to compete
@@clearwaterentertainment Indeed. I was watching one of the video were he criticized GT63s 4 door coupe, that thing is an absolute machine but he was talking as if it's nothing. I suspect even the drag races are sabotaged to promote audi which is nowhere near Merc in terms of technology, power terrains, style and intimidation on the road.
@@clearwaterentertainment But also, there is no difference between q5, rsq5, sq5, sq8, s8 and rsq8, everything is the same but there's a huge difference between gle coupe, glc coupe and glb, gls classes that is were I think audi got it completely wrong.

Why would people spend 120,000 $ on a high performance SUV as soft as a family SUV?
This generation GLE63s made this mistake, it focuses on luxury more than performance.
And what's the result? People buy X6M way more than GLE63s Coupe.
No matter X4M or X6M, they must be as stiff as they are. Otherwise customers won't buy it, it's that simple.

Nobody wants a stiff car and if you knew what you were talking about you would know that almost all reviewers and owners complain about how stiff the new M cars are and how jaw jarring they are on normal roads. It was such a big deal that BMW changed the entire suspension in the LCI f90 m5 cp because it was so bad. I'm sure you never even driven any of the new M cars to know what you're talking about.
@Talkditings dem Actually they don't care what some journalists say, it's BS. Many journalists say Lotus or Jaguars or some FCA high performance cars are good. But what in reality? Nobody buys these cars and those are facing bankruptcy. What the real world buyers want is the most important thing to OEM.
This generation X5/6m is more dominant than ever in the segment. According to sources they will sell over 35000 units. It's insanely good if you know how minority this market is.
The new gen Cayenne Turbo and GLE63s are less stiff and less powerful, they're more comfortable. But what's the result? They sell so few cars. I can assure you the whole generation 63s will be struggling to sell 10000 units and the turbo even less.
The point is, most customers spend this money to buy a super SUV/ super sedan. They don't want a suspension feels normal. It's how the majority of customers of this market thinks.
