Who’s ready for an INCREDIBLE performance SUV drag race?!
Mat’s in the Porsche Cayenne Turbo GT, and he’s lining up against a Lamborghini Urus, a Jeep Trackhawk, a BMW X6M and a Tesla Model X!!
It’ll come as no surprise to any of you that the stats are absolutely wild! Starting with the Porsche, it’s powered by a 4-litre twin-turbo V8 that can deliver 640hp & 850Nm of torque. The Lambo alongside it is mighty similar, with the same size engine deliver 650hp & 850Nm of torque.
Then we come to the Trackhawk, which easily has the largest engine in the line-up - a 6.2-litre supercharged V8 which puts out 707hp & 875Nm of torque! It’s one of the heaviest cars here, though, weighing in over 2.4 tonnes!
Finally, we have the BMW & the Tesla. Under the X6M’s bonnet, you’ll find a 4.4-litre twin-turbo V8 which can produce 625hp & 750Nm, while the dual electric motors in the Model X producing power that eclipses the field, putting out 780hp & 1,140Nm.
Surely this has to be our greatest SUV drag race ever, right?! There’s only one way to find out… LET’S RACE!

I think his is a little tuned/upgraded and it also depends on the driver. Yianni is really good at launching, he might not have done as bad.
The reaction time of that Jeep Trackhawk driver on the last quarter mile run was horrendous!
honestly it looked like everyone else jumped the launch while the trackhawk got the launch perfectly on time
And it's funny that's the time they used when the jeep was running faster before. The driver was definitely asleep at the wheel on that race.

I am pretty shure they are just cheating on the numbers. It is an Urus with a different outfit. So it can't perform that much different, except they just pump in way more power via software and "lie" to everyone.
If you give the Urus and the Cayenne to a tuner, the Urus will win because their engine will perform with the same output, but the Urus is lighter.

@Erin Xiomara the plaid does not pull in standard traffic man, it could only set that 1.99 0-60, on a prepped drag strip, with a foot roll out, 90%+ battery, and about 15 minutes of heating up the battery. In normal traffic it has the same time as the normal performance really

Very cool to see these cars all on one strip side by side! Surprises me how the Urus is underperforming. We measured it at 11.37 and the X5M at 11.82 1/4 mile. Trackhawk and Turbo GT are coming soon..
Unfortunately being a rental car I’m sure the Lamborghini has already lost some Horsepower during its life as well as the center caps on the wheels lol. Would like to see an Urus as in same condition as the turbo gt in the next match up, I believe the Porsche will win again anyway

On porsche how it worked for me is, put it in Drive and click both paddle shifters until the M of manuan or D start flashing do not hold the paddle shifters just make them click once at the same time.

This is pretty awesome considering I have a new Porsche Turbo. I haven't track raced it, but makes a fun daily. Porsche definitely is a great brand, insane quality, they cater a little to the low-end market with the Macan but I'm sure people love saying they own a Porsche for $60K vs the near $200K in a Turbo.

Porsche is really…truly…without doubt the best performance luxury car company. There is no equal. Imagine if Porsche was into the horsepower wars…imagine. The only time it loses any competition, or is challenged, is when the other car has way more horsepower. I mean the 918 schooled the P1 and LaFerrari…they just know how to make performance cars folks.

Proud 2023 fully spec'd Cayenne TGT owner here. This 911 GT3 RS with full areo is only 1/10 of a second faster than the TGT in the 1/4 mile. Imagine that !!!!
That was cool to see. But I'm pretty sure that trackhawk can launch way harder, probably still get passed on the top end but would be a lot better of a race
The Trackhawk is quirky from a roll. You have to put the shifter in manual, manually force the downshift with the paddle and then immediately put the shifter back to auto mode.
A drag race between the most powerful diesel engines built in normal cars would be amazing

The trackhawk didn't do a proper launch in the last race, so the quarter mile time isn't the truest reflection. How about if you display the best finishing time for each car instead of the last finishing time?

Going to drag race all VAG SUV with 4.0L V8 TT? It would be interesting to see how they were tuned differently with the same engine.
There is a naughty method of bypassing the rev limiter on VAG cars with certain DSG boxes... If you hold the gear selector between P and R (in the dead zone in between) it gets confused and allows you to redline! This 100% works on the MQB platform (Mk7 / 7.5 Golf, Mk6 Polo, S3 etc)
Only when you thought carwow drag races couldn't get any better... this is awesome!!
Yeah this is one of the best drag races we had but only if they could launch the Lamborghini and BMW better they can do a 11.5,11.6 quarter mile.

It's just impressive what Porsche has been building the last couple of years. They were already the benchmark but it looks like they took it to a whole new level. And must say I am also impressed with the BMW beating the Urus.
And that's only the GT version not even the GTS

@@twapelwalumpa2705 In a sense that they are the sportiest, are much more fun to drive and the overall vibe is just better. Audi reminds me of skoda and vw and mercedes looks too serious and ugly imo, its suspension is too mild and it has cheap plastics inside. Also, I hate these huge tablets

Cayenne turbo gt is to SUVs what the M5 CS is to sedans. They are like the suv and sedan version of super cars. And both come in grey with weird bronze coloured wheels.

Throw the X5M Competition in there for good measure. It bests both the Urus and the X6M. I’de be curious where it falls with the Porsche and the Tesla.
Price considered the bmw did the best. I’d take an X5M but let’s be real if money wasn’t an option it’s the Porsche all day
I mean if money is or isn't an "option" (think you meant object? : p) everyone would still be better off buying actual performance cars, they will do better and be way more enjoyable. Failing that, fast estates or even vans n pickup trucks will still serve you better. Only reason to get an suv is if you hate yourself, but have just the tiniest amount of self esteem such that you can't bring yourself to surrender into an ev or hybrid : p
