There were no microtransactions, or packs, or download wait times for games, or anything like that. Nowadays most things are online-based and have a paywall to get the most out of a game. I miss the old days. This makes me want to go out and get an original Xbox, some old games, extra controllers, an old box TV, gather some friends, get some snacks like Mountain Dew and Doritos, and _just play._

Honestly everyone thought that all of this was so new and fascinating. Xbox live was never a thing until the Xbox 360. All of this is truly amazing to reflect on what humanity has become.

Hahaha, aye, no worries buddy. This WAS a while back so it's funny to think it's already been this long. I will note, however, that it was a legendary start to multiplayer experience. It was a blast back in the day and it's exactly why multiplayer has been revolutionized through things lile Xbox Live (og). Now we've got Steam, Origin, and a ton of different services because of what Microsoft started.

Seeing how much Halo 2 was celebrated back in the day made me quite nostalgic. Just seeing the logo on the boxes and the flyer brought a tear to my eye. Mostly cause of how much the franchise has fallen since then. 343 really needs to get Halo back to being the top dog in FPS again.
They now have a great team of writers and even hired the original composer back! It's been a few years since 5 came out and 343's been hard at work fixing mcc and making infinite, will be a huge comeback!
Back when Xbox had an identity. I can smell the Mountain Dew and Doritos when I see this thing, it's the epitome of a true game console. Now Xbox just feels so corporate and lacks that identity it once had. It just feels like another Microsoft/Windows product, when it used to feel like its own separate entity/company.

Hahaha, aye, no worries buddy. This WAS a while back so it's funny to think it's already been this long. I will note, however, that it was a legendary start to multiplayer experience. It was a blast back in the day and it's exactly why multiplayer has been revolutionized through things lile Xbox Live (og). Now we've got Steam, Origin, and a ton of different services because of what Microsoft started.
I was like 6 years old when my parents bought me my very first Xbox came with a steering wheel and pedals for SEGA GT 2002 crazy how time flies my parents don’t know this but I truly believe gaming for this many years has shaped a way of life for me whenever times get hard I always have my Xbox to come to sort of a therapy I guess idk.. thank you mom and dad 🤞🏽❤️

Seeing how much Halo 2 was celebrated back in the day made me quite nostalgic. Just seeing the logo on the boxes and the flyer brought a tear to my eye. Mostly cause of how much the franchise has fallen since then. 343 really needs to get Halo back to being the top dog in FPS again.

A miracle it comes with two controllers you have to pay like 70 bucks to get a new controller as much as a new game!
I got Serious Sam 2 for this Xbox and it costed me $46
Oh and also, i own 16 controllers for Xbox original, all identicle to each other, and half of them i have never used
Back when Xbox had an identity. I can smell the Mountain Dew and Doritos when I see this thing, it's the epitome of a true game console. Now Xbox just feels so corporate and lacks that identity it once had. It just feels like another Microsoft/Windows product, when it used to feel like its own separate entity/company.
Now it's back with the series X. Get readyyyyy

i still remember when i was little and my brother got this console for christmas... those were the days.. we would play brute force, halo, cod black ops and modern warfare and many more awesome games.. i grew up on xbox but got more into ps2 in my school years.
