Yes I had the same problem with my 2002 Ford Mustang by the trunk of the corner inside it was rusting and in top of my roof it was rusting too and then I took it to a body shop to paint and still with the paint job some parts of the body bubble up but it's not noticeable I just hope the paint doesn't fall off or rust again🙏🙏🙏🙏
Oh no, the PROBLEM is the stability control might turn ON? One issue with the Mustang is the insurance rates are quite high for a relatively inexpensive car, as a lot of owners tend to drive them; uh, irresponsibly. For example, Porsches of the same vintage often have LOWER insurance rates because most Porsche owners don't drive them as if they were in a "Fast and Furious" movie.
Solid rear axle is fine if you are familiar with it. Never had rust, oil leak, engine failure, door hinge, water leak, or really any of these issues.. Over a decade of new edge ownership. Maybe some wheel hop here and there.
I’ve owned 5 mustangs and never had serious problems with any of them. I bought my 2018 mustang 5.0 brand new. It’s got 50000 miles on it and all I’ve had to do is replace the tires. No other problems. I do drive aggressively.
Some of these items common with all vehicles. The bias is obvious such as his lack of knowledge concerning rear ends and rust on the body affecting frame/collisions.
I sold my '83 GT with 177k miles on it, my 2000 GT with 168k miles, own a 2014 GT with 60k miles on it...none of them had oil leaks, have driven all year round. Other than surface rust (which washing off after driving through snow/icy conditions to get salt off, will mostly help prevent deep rust) I havent had aby of these problems...lol no oil spots...or hinges falling off...or blower fans going out..none of those issues. I did have a Ram give me all sorts if problems and a Lumina..they both had to be scrapped with heas gasket leaks, computer problems, and heater core breaking multiple times. I dont use store brand parts, mostly OEM for my vehicles and log everything. Not sure where this info was made up from.
Had a 84 GT and sold it with 286,000 miles on it. Never had a single fluid leak and never lost control. Only reason for selling the car was the owner offered a really good deal snd the new owner drove from east coast to Arkansas. The car is still running today. Must have actually maintained the car like it should be huh ?
Have an acquaintance that was an engineer at the Flat Rock MI. plant... We all know about Dealer recalls but few of us know about Internal factory recalls which are faults that the dealers nor public ever hear about due to Ford becoming aware before the vehicles are shipped... Also have a friend that worked in the paint department... The things you are highlighting are those and then some... The first hand stories I heard are real WTF stories... Ford has some issues with quality Control and all manufacturer may as well but ford takes the cake... Grew up in Dearborn, love Stangs but real is real...
My 2021 seems to do just fine and a lot of these issues can be eliminated or avoided altogether by using simple common sense. The MT-82 transmission had some serious issues 2015-2019 but those issues were addressed in the 2020-21.
The bubbled paint, that's not rust... that's oxidized paint... I work at a dealership and [over the years] have dealt with this on virtually every brand of mass produced car. Should it happen for the money you're spending, NO... but unfortunately it does sometime. 2011-2014 Stangs were notorious for this at the edge of the hood.
In 1963 it was Ralph Nader saying the Corvair wasn't safe at any speed. Today the ghost of Ralph Nader has come back condemning the 2019 mustang saying it has fatal flaws.

Just taking a wild guess I’m quite certain you will be hopping in your Camaro for the ride home.
Even with all these problems I still love my pony
That's true dedication to cars here.
Wow, I hope no one else who is an actual car person watched this
My dAd hAs a muStang : /
I'd like to know the ratio between how many died in the car and how many were part of crowds at cars and coffee?
"....while peeling out of a car show at high speeds......While drifting the electronic stability control will attempt to regain control...." THESE ARE DRIVER'S FLAWS !!!! RIDICULOUS
Rust is "Highly Fatal" and Motor Oil explodes!
Throw some on a hot exhaust and tell us what happens.
Oil does not explode, it can ignite if exposed to high temperatures. Look up chemical flashpoint tables.
Ok if you dont take of your car that's one think but if drains are not working that's another thing and corrosion with the paint is a problem I've seen but rust I live in indy where is this from I work at a dealer as atech and haven't seen a single s550 rusted yet?
"Highly fatal", as opposed to the regular kind of fatal?
😂😂😂😂yep one is a open casket funeral and the other is closed.. i guess..
Most American built cars have terrible build quality compared to the European car makes and it seems the Mustang is no exception.
We all have to admit, no car is perfect, and every car has a flaw. All cars are the most unsafe way of transportation.
Wow, he said that owners filed a 'lawsuit with Mustang'...I did not know that...probably didn't go anywhere like my suit with Corvair...no luck!
Foxbody mustang holds the quarter mile record at 5 sec 253mph.
aspen yukon with a Chevy ls in it
Ford invented the v8. So chevy has ford motors.
That was a very interesting REPORT 😮 a worrying and very scary thank you very much for the update from Sydney Australia
😂 This is ridiculous. Anyone else notice how he stopped counting once he got to using 4 fingers.... clearly not the slickest slide in the water park.
Let us not forget the bent shifter forks on the Chinese made MT-82 Getrag transmission.
Solid rear axle is fine if you are familiar with it. Never had rust, oil leak, engine failure, door hinge, water leak, or really any of these issues.. Over a decade of new edge ownership. Maybe some wheel hop here and there.
ESC aid not best on my SRT, BMW aid is effective in 3, 5. Translation is Caddy is only domestic car w traction, stability that WONT KILL YOU!!
I’ve owned 5 mustangs and never had serious problems with any of them. I bought my 2018 mustang 5.0 brand new. It’s got 50000 miles on it and all I’ve had to do is replace the tires. No other problems. I do drive aggressively.
I'm guessing you drive a toyota right . NO CAR is perfect
I drive a Toyota Tundra and I do burnouts with a truck I don't have to worry about it correcting and trying to kill me
Rather drive a toyota than get pulled over a shi ton for no reason and hella speeding tickets lol and exhaust ticket a 1000$ in cali
Stop sign ticket already 300$ speeding ticket is 500$ minimum in cali
Some of these items common with all vehicles. The bias is obvious such as his lack of knowledge concerning rear ends and rust on the body affecting frame/collisions.
Most common flaw on Mustangs are the tires: they lose air pressure every year and if you don't add air, they WILL GO FLAT!
Thanks for not saying loose!
On the open differential. That’s basically in Base model Mustangs that have ethier a V6 of Ecoboost inline 4
Doesn't know the difference between a motor and an engine!
Question. When was the last time Ford built a brand new chasis for the Mustang?
@Modern Muscle I'm still looking for the Dodge Challenger Fatal flaws....... So we can see what problems YOUR CHALLENGER (R/T) has Sir.....
All cars have issues, your either a former mustang owner who didn’t like your car or just a Mustang hatter.
I have a 2006 gt and havent seen rust yet
He's full of it...
I’m ok. I own a Goatstang. Baaaahhhh..... 🐐
There is no doubt my car is dangerous , It better be or I don't want it.
Shoot my Tundra gets wheel hop with traction control on so I expect a freaking Mustang to do it
I sold my '83 GT with 177k miles on it, my 2000 GT with 168k miles, own a 2014 GT with 60k miles on it...none of them had oil leaks, have driven all year round.
You can get it right with a Mustang, Chris fix's driiftstang is pretty awesome.
#4....Its use of an open diff.....None of the V8 mustangs have an open diff. They are limited slip. There is a huge difference
many of the "fatal flaws" are over generalizations on Mustangs going back to '64 ... or even the '90s.
I hope the 2014 mustang my grandpa passed down to me doesnt meet these nightmares soon
None of these problems are nearly as common as you think. Except for the loss of control while trying to show off
Sav Kvd oh okay I appreciate it 👍🏽
@@nfanthkloco8770 no problem
The hate for Mustangs is real!!!! 💯💪🏿
Dont all cars rust after awile? my 02 gt has 0 rust,
the only thing i like about this viv is all the sweet pics of the new Shelby.
On my 3rd Mustang I've never had any problems with any of them. I never see them on the roadsides like Toyota's or Honda's, See them stranded alot. But everyone loves them. It's popular to be un-American these days.
Love this guys Rustang review lol All of his explanation are priceless, great work! lol
