Just want to correct you red pyramid thing (pyramid head) only came to exist when James Sunderland the protagonist of silent hill 2 went to silent hill and his desire to be punished and atone for murdering his wife manifested as red pyramid thing which means he would be less than a year old just thought you should know
pyramid Head is a manifestation of James's masochism and was only created for James because silent hill takes a different shape depending on what that person's inner struggles
i agree , but it's not worth bring up anymore people don't care about the origin he looks cool and is scary that's all they care about i gave up trying to explane
It took the form of the traditional duo of executioners that used to kill the POWs at the civil war era prison the town was built upon- the historical society had a depiction of one on the form of a painting, and there is at least one engraving in the prison itself
I like the idea that 'The Executioner' exists as an entity within Silent Hill, and has always been there. James found records of one after all. It just so happens that it takes on whatever form it needs to adequately deal its punishment. Everyone in Silent Hill sees something different after all. James sees him as the Order's executioner, as it was what he first saw, but there are other similar monsters like the Butcher, or the Bogeyman, which could be seen as different iterations of the Executioner, designed to torment different victims
And it’s crazy cause pyramid head has only been alive as long as Alessa was incapacitated in the hospital at like 12 years old..mans went on the hunt for anything that was that unfortunate to get lost in the fog 😭
@@jaesaiyan Depends on which pyramid head you are talking about because he was only supposed to be in SH2 as James' guilt, but he came back because of fans and money

Pyramid head is a manifestation of james sunderland guilt for murdering his wife. He never existed in the real world he can only be seen by james to torment him and remind him of what he did. No one else should be able to see him only james can.He is kind of like james own personal demon. The Pyramid on his head represents the weight of guilt james carries on his shoulders. His whole character is symbolic. I’d like to mention that that is only the most popular fan theory. When James interacts with Angela, he sees what he believes to be her inner demons, I.e. the Daddies. From what I remember reading about blight (The substance not the killer) It's basically a byproduct of the Enity's feeding on the hope and despair of the survivors and killers.
The idea ancient tribes and cultures had about "demons" that came from consuming human flesh actually has a very interesting true behind it. Trichinellosis is a parasitic disease caused by larvae that can be find in the raw flesh of different animals, including humans. It was easily spread between cannibals, since its last and most notorious phase could take months to develope. On the first stages the patient will have their scleras permanently red and also severe head inflamations and headaches. Then it would give nausea, dispepsia and other stomachal problems, eventually the patient will develope severe skin rashs (very red, full of blisters) and it will look malnourished. Eventually, depending on the quantity of the larvae, the patient will develope severe migraines, fever, muscle pain and cardiac and respiratory issues. In some cases the worms would enter the nervous system, causing a very odd form of a stroke. The usual cause of death would be cardiac or respiratory failure, but it could take months. With all this symptoms people would very much look possesed.... Taking this into account... The hag deffinetly smells like a putrid pile of crap
I have to really pull back the urge to correct your Executioner lore because I need to remember this is Dead by Daylight, *not* Silent Hill 2. By the way, Adiris carried that incense lantern/burner around to cover up the smell of her own rotting flesh. I actually find her to be one of the most sympathetic Killers (that doesn't sound strange, does it?) in DbD. All she wanted to do was feel like she was making a change, but she was actually spreading the plague further through her followers, who then spread the plague even further. It's actually not until she and her followers leave on a pilgrimage that ahe realizes she had doomed them all from the very beginning, and is one of the last alive before succumbing to the illness in a cave.

1:44 In certain more conservative provinces of feudal Japan (Edo), the social structure is so frigid that the lower class of the samurai are not allowed to use umbrella when it rains. Upper class of the samurai could potentially slay them for using umbrellas.
Extra-dimensional, not extra terrestrial. Considering we saw a large part of the demogorgons life cycle in season 2 of stranger things, there is no reason to assume the species is particularly long lived.
The Pyramid is a Red God known as Xuchilbara, also called Samael. This is what order called it. The manifestation is from an oil painting hung at a natural museum of history located in a tourist town in Maine. He smells like pennies, wet dirt and sulfer.
I really wish Konami didn't just copy paste pyramid head wherever (this case being an exception because the possible lore of the executioner torturing the entity making sense In a way) because pyramid head was a monster manifested by James psyche to it is essentially as old as whenever James visited silent hill
If we're putting Kazan near the end of the Samurai era, wouldn't that be more mid-late 1800s? So roughly 200-160 years ago? Because 1865 iirc marked the end of the era, since Takeko Nanako's death was one of the markers of the end of an era
I'm honestly kind of happy they used Silent Hill 2 depiction, which is more subtle, makes clearer reference to Valtiel as well. This is the version that was manifestation of both guilt and James' desire for punishment for killing his wife.
The oldest killer is actually demogorgan if you think about it: his realm has existed long before all these characters and his time moves different so he could be over maybe a million years old
I didnt know about silent hill games. I used to play a lot of games but I guess my father was not willing to let me know about games that dealt with psychological issues and horror. I learnt about many great games when I had independence to choose games for myself and found DBD. I immediately fell in love with Doctor and Excutioner characters.
I think everyone has their own interpretations of the dark forces of Silent Hill. For me personally, I think some creatures evolve if their impact on the town leaves an “echo” (a dark impression where the presence of these creatures remains and lingers) such as the case where Pyramid Head still remains present so long after James has already overcome his guilt. Plus Pyramid Head’s appearance didn’t just come from James’ psyche, but from the town’s history as these executioners worked for The Order and punished anybody who stepped out of the bounds of the Order’s control. The case DBD gave to Pyramid Head for being there was that he’d go into a long rest, but The Entity wanted him and he had to resume his duties since Cheryl Mason was also coming into the realm of the Entity herself. The reason for Pyramid Head having so much of an attraction towards her was that she was suffering from survivor’s guilt after the death of her father in Silent Hill 3 and she was still being plagued by nightmares from Silent Hill shortly after this incident, it’s to be assumed that Pyramid Head played a part in these dark visions Cheryl was experiencing.
You are correct. Pyramid heas is just a manifestation of James' it only exists to him and no one else sees him that way or at all in some cases. Silent hill caters to the person inside it
Pyramid Head is based on the executioners of Silent Hill’s past, they’re literally just people with uncomfortable helmets on. The Buster Sword carrying Pyramid Head is a creation of James Sunderland based on his desire for punishment.
Well if we were to go by the Silent Hill series. Pyramid Head isn't really that old since he was conjured up by the broken mind of James Sunderland. Silent Hill's otherworld was around since the time Indians were kicked off during the colonization periods in Early North America. Pyramid Head's executioner design was also based on the designs of the executioner's red hoods from when Witch Trials were done in the local area of Salem during 1692. But at the same time James' psyche created his own punisher for the homicide of his own terminally ill wife which James did as somewhat of a mercy with his own two hands and a pillow. So yeah Pyramid was created from the psyche of James Sunderland in 1990's and based around the witch executioner's of the Salem Witch Trials of 1692. But if we are going by the time when the town started to dip into madness and other worldly fog then it would of started around 18th Century (Earliest haunting sightings) or around 1976.
I’ll admit that I’m pretty new to silent hill lore - read up about James and how his mind created the “idea” of the pyramid head to punish himself for his .. kill. But “The Order” follows biblical ideals and so if THEY thought up the executioner, I thought the idea of pyramid would be as old as time itself. Kinda confused myself on that one 👍
James had visted Silent Hill numerous times so he may have been aware of some of it's cult history and likely conjured up the image of Pyramid Head from his subconscious when he revisted it during the events of SH2. The Order's Executioners wore a large triangular shaped mask that was likely the inspiration for why Pyramid Head has a literal metal pyramid on his body to look a bit like the outline of the cults executioners
@@singleplayernacho , there are a few things in Silent Hill alluding to the cult worshiping some sort of thing that looks similar to pyramid head, but it is definitely not the same as the one that chases you. The one that torments James is like some sort of version of that deity, specifically created and tailored for James. At least that’s my interpretation
Just noticed that they once said, that the Entity cleanses itself once a year. Now with the Halloween Event 2021 it seems like the Entity doesn´t wanna wash itself anymore? Dirty thing
It says he had the long rest when he was no longer needed. Hes also appeared in silent Hill homecoming etc. The entity took him into its realm and now he thinks he's doing his job
If Adiris didn't have the plague in her system which causes all that rot, dy'a think she would've looked like a normal person? Like, maybe she would still desperately pray to the gods for a cure, giving up fingers and toes until she was on the verge of giving up then bam, Entity. I'm only saying this because the left side of her face looks completely unphased and plague causes rot n' pus to form so I feel like if she didn't catch it, maybe she would look different or have different powers.
The Hag was a modern teen with a 1700 recipe book for Witchcraft, & while being kidnapped by a satanic gore cult used a 'Break In Case of Mortal Peril, BUT-DON'T-BECAUSE-WILL-CONSUME-YOUR-MORTAL-SOUL, ACTUALLY' Rune to *obliterate* her Abductors & also turned her into a Skinwalker/Wendigo? *METAL* . New favorite backstory.
I imagine Adiris smells even worse than a customer did back when I worked retail. I was working in the checkout counter, and she was a regular. Thankfully, her smell was temporary (think it was some kind of illness), but it was horrid! The best description I can give of it is, if vinegar could mold (cleaning vinegar, not eating vinegar), and that mold started to rot, then you'd have that smell!
The Pyramid Head is a manifestation of Jame’s sexual frustration, so he’s as old as Jame’s feelings of frustration. He only pops up in other Silent Hill games as fan-service. This would make him one of the youngest seeing that James was in his mid-30s during the events of Silent Hill 2.
The Plague would smell like decaying bodies, infections, incense and open plague pits. I honestly can't imaging anything worse than hundreds of bodies in various stages of decay, the smell of sickness and everything that goes with it and this waft of musty, smoky incense that doesn't cover it but emphasizes it. Honestly, Adiris is at least someone who wanted to ease someone's suffering and given what medicine was and wasn't back then, she acted just about anyone else would. The story about her is like various healing miracles in religious texts of all sorts, only without the happy miracle.
Ahem... I believe you've forgotten about Caleb Quinn, better known as the Deathslinger. While he's probably one of the younger killers (of the oldest), his time period was during the 1800's, meaning that he's definitely over a century in terms of age.
You got a ok time era for the Oni. But there is some flaws in what is said. Because Kazan and his father are said to be in era’s of conflict in Japan. They likely were in the Sengoku period. Which is around late 1400’s to early 1600’s. But also, his reasoning for killing farmers wasn’t because they were impersonating samurai. It’s because they WERE samurai. The Sengoku period saw mass conscription of peasants into Japanese armies, and many lords rewarded loyal recruits. With some eventually being able to become samurai. That’s what Kazan was mad at.
Interesting subject: I actually think the oldest killer (By physical age and not time period) is hillbilly (From what I’ve gathered) most killers in the game are usually in their 30s and or 40s but from what I’ve gathered hillbilly at has to be at least in his 50s. So how the realms work is that they come from the minds of the killer and the entity takes the memories and makes it into an realm. On one of the cold wind maps it is said that a storm hit during 2001 and the after math reveals all of the people billy killed. Though the age hillbilly was when he broke free is unknown, he clearly was fully mature so he was probably ether 18 or 21. Even tho killers comes from different timelines I think hillbilly is technically the “oldest” killer out of them all
Pyramid head is actually is how long a person guilt been going over them in slient hill they teach how James guilt is pyramid head or you can say he been older than my geandpa
@@dripchief117 Pyramid head is a manifestation of James Sunderland guilt for his feelings towards his dying wife and a representation of his repressed sexual desire. In short he only exists because James came to Silent Hill. The appearance of Pyramid head is based on the old hooded executioner, and the hooded members of the order. James would have seen a picture of him/them when he was exploring Silent hill and the image would have been ingrained in his subconscious.
I will say tyhat, Pyramid as an entity is relatively young killer, in comparison to other, more ancient, killers, such as Oni or Plague as, Pyramid Head Himself only showed up within the last 30 years, while Pyramid Head, if you count him being a part of Silent Hill itself, would only be around a hundred years old, or however long it would have taken Silent Hill as a town to be established and for the entity that dwelled within that area to be corrupted, and as some would say, Pyramid Head is a manifestation of James Sunderland's need to be punished.
There’s a bit of a flaw in your information about the Hag. Wasn’t she kidnapped, taken into a dungeon, starved enough to slip through her hand cuffs and then killed her kidnappers?

Why didn’t you add the demogorgon? it’s like a literal alien and is probs older than all of them combined
True true
Extra-dimensional, not extra terrestrial. Considering we saw a large part of the demogorgons life cycle in season 2 of stranger things, there is no reason to assume the species is particularly long lived.
@@NoBody-qs7op Okay scientist 🙄🖐
Btw Lisa wasn't stopped using the symbols it was her friend Pam who used them and she was the one who ended up getting their teacher killed
I wish we got an Egyptian mummy/pharaoh as a killer. It would be a great addition as an ancient killer.
the plague already is
@@bushy75 She's not though. There are massive differences between a Babylonian preistess and an Egyptian mummified pharaoh.

The Pyramid is a Red God known as Xuchilbara, also called Samael. This is what order called it.
The manifestation is from an oil painting hung at a natural museum of history located in a tourist town in Maine. He smells like pennies, wet dirt and sulfer.
He is not the red god that was just a theory that got debunked
@@UnWantedXReCoN wamp, figures. I read that a long time ago. What do you think it smells like?
I really wish Konami didn't just copy paste pyramid head wherever (this case being an exception because the possible lore of the executioner torturing the entity making sense In a way) because pyramid head was a monster manifested by James psyche to it is essentially as old as whenever James visited silent hill
Can you plz do a wich outlast villain has the most kills
I thought Pyramid Head was just Jame's manifestation. Ain't that the other worlds whole deal? Like, nobody sees the same thing in Silent Hill.
Silent hill caters to the person inside it
I'd like to think that Pyramid Head is it old as the first ever fractured human psyche
I personally don't like how you are insulting the killers, but this is a good video!!! Educating!!!
The plague probably smells like a rotting corpse mixed with onions
I’ll admit that I’m pretty new to silent hill lore -
read up about James and how his mind created the “idea” of the pyramid head to punish himself for his ..
Dirty thing
Are we just gonna ignore that Babylonian culture was before samurai culture
Damn it, your videos are so enticing and interesting, they are always so good, keep up the good work!
Pyramid head only existed for since the late 90's and will only be around as long as james Sunderland exist
I love these little dead by daylight lores and theories
I imagine Adiris smells even worse than a customer did back when I worked retail. I was working in the checkout counter, and she was a regular. Thankfully, her smell was temporary (think it was some kind of illness), but it was horrid! The best description I can give of it is, if vinegar could mold (cleaning vinegar, not eating vinegar), and that mold started to rot, then you'd have that smell!
Apparently, in lore, Lisa, or The Hag, is younger that Victor, so.... yea
Alright already we get it
8:00 the sun god said: PeriodTT with two capital Ts.
Issent Pyramide head made from the guit ( from James Zunderland )
Ahem... I believe you've forgotten about Caleb Quinn, better known as the Deathslinger. While he's probably one of the younger killers (of the oldest), his time period was during the 1800's, meaning that he's definitely over a century in terms of age.
I'm surprised the wendigo isn't even in the game yet
You got a ok time era for the Oni. But there is some flaws in what is said. Because Kazan and his father are said to be in era’s of conflict in Japan. They likely were in the Sengoku period. Which is around late 1400’s to early 1600’s. But also, his reasoning for killing farmers wasn’t because they were impersonating samurai. It’s because they WERE samurai. The Sengoku period saw mass conscription of peasants into Japanese armies, and many lords rewarded loyal recruits. With some eventually being able to become samurai. That’s what Kazan was mad at.
I think mostly they would smell like rotten flesh.
I like to call the blight catching flies its a saying where if you leave your mouth open for too long you will catch flies
He’s back! Love the videos my man
Bingo blitz didn't have to go that hard on that new advertisement....
That dripped out virus molecule was 👌
If we’re gonna go for the in between, then Michael is kinda in the middle, since he’s been around since the 1960’s and gained major infamy in the 70’s
Finally, you fixed it. I was asking myself when you would notice, it's Yamaoka and not Yamoaka. Still, great vid as always!
The Blight was part of the opium wars (1839-1842), making him over 100 years old.
"So there you have it. That's the Oni. A very old, old spirit. Angry crybaby." 😂😂
The oni slayed easily hundred,s and hundred,s of people
The back round music; this is fine
Man this video was so good I wish you did all the killers
Entity: Ah, yes. I love the smell of ancient farts in the evening.
Even tho killers comes from different timelines I think hillbilly is technically the “oldest” killer out of them all
Nice to know that my favorite killer the blight is as old almost as the entity
The plague looks like she smells of the most expensive insense with a mixture of vomit and most likely a corpse
So is pyramid head the oldest then if he was from an infinite amount of time
Samurai be like honor, then they betrayed most of their allies for Shogunate
Pyramid head is actually is how long a person guilt been going over them in slient hill they teach how James guilt is pyramid head or you can say he been older than my geandpa
It's weird to see the pyramid head with all 10(ten) fingers.
You got Pyramid Heads lore all wrong mate.
K then u explain it then if he got it wrong
Could you cover the blight’s lore in a video?
For pyramid head i would have said beginning of life because he represents a emotion in silent hill
Will we be getting an entity lore video some day? Lowkey interested in what information we have about iy
i feel like the hillbilly would smell bacon, roadkill, and gasoline.
If i had one killer to protect me while the others tried killing me i would have Kazan protect me.
These are some pretty tame chaos cultists.
Realising that the hag is basically a school girl 😭
There’s a bit of a flaw in your information about the Hag.
Wasn’t she kidnapped, taken into a dungeon, starved enough to slip through her hand cuffs and then killed her kidnappers?
I think That the Plague is beautiful and my favorite character of silent hill is Pyramid head and the nurses
I'm really enjoying these killer typed videos :)
