Love your content! I'm working full-time as a volunteer right now in a position that's devoid of any structure whatsoever. How I spend my day is entirely up to me. It was hard at first to find the will to get things done, but having a well-established routine changed my outlook completely. I've been using your videos to fine-tune my day-to-day and I'm already seeing results. Thanks for everything!
What a way to use the day. Lots of insights. A few quetions. When do you go to bed? How much time you sleep & why? What's the total amount of reading you do everyday? Is it the reading + journaling + thinking time? What do you read & why? What are those tasks other than email that you don't like that much but are essential part of your work & how do you approach them & when (Is it all work block 2)? Regarding your business & investments stuff, how do you think about opportunities (I mean that's also a creative, thinking process in a way)? What's your routine around frinds, socialising &/or with your parents, siblings, etc.?
I love the video. A great blend of information, music, humor (nice Shackleton reference!), and of, course, the real star, your little boy! Keep creating!
This was super helpful. I run a small business from home and i find that i struggle a lot wiyh organizing my time to get everything done - creating new products, packing orders, cooking and taking care of my home and family, working out etc. Its all a bit of an unstructured mish mash and tasks from one area flow into another, i feel like i am constantly multitasking but not getting things done to completion. I am definitely going to start and structure my day in defined blocks. This would allow me to work more focused on a task at hand and then be present with my husband and daughter when the work block is finished. Sometimes i just need that reminder. Multitasking is not efficient and it creates a lot of stress. Thank you❤
3:17 the soundtrack from Succession is what got me into classical 🎻🎻 even music scores from movies like Oppenheimer make for such great background music
Hey Sahil, wanted to thank you for making these awesome videos. Have been applying these lessons to my everyday life, and have seen measurable change. Thank you, and I hope you keep up the great work.
It's amazing how effective focused work blocks are, if you truly commit to it.... During my 9-5, I work continuously, but, towards the end, still feel that I haven't done much!!! My key takeaway from the video is to work using focused time blocks and the energy matching that comes along with it!!! Thanks Sahil!!! Really appreciate the efforts you take for this!!!
Thank you Sahil. I only recently got to know that you have UA-cam channel too! Earlier I am just a subscriber of your weekly email doses. Much exciting and inspiring to see you on videos. You’ve inspired me to think like an ‘A’ Player, and work towards it!!! Thank you so much for all your efforts to be an inspiration and role model to us!!
This is an awesome breakdown, thank you @sahil! Energy management is so important and rarely talked about. What kinds of things do you read at night? I'm impressed you are able to get all of that onto physical paper!
Sahil, I'm always impressed by your discipline, dedication, and excellent time management skills. Your commitment to staying energetic throughout the day is truly inspiring. Keep up the great work, buddy!
Love the vid Sahil. Curious, what is your cold plunge setup? Might be a cool video idea to talk about: • why you use this setup • if you tried other setups and what did/didn't work with them • how frequently do you do them and when might it be a BAD IDEA to take a cold plunge • have you ever taken a cold plunge in the evening and if so, what impact did that have over doing it in the morning? Just some ideas off the top of my head. Cool stuff as always.
Thanks for sharing what your day looks like. I would have loved to see clean-up, as well, for us to get the full picture of how much time, effort, and planning it takes to manage a day since it's not just about consuming (eating) and output, right?
Enjoying your content Sahil. Few questions: 1) When do you spend quality time with your wife? 2) I assume that this is a "perfect day", and you have days/nights when your child is difficult and/or won't sleep well. On nights like these, do you abandon some of the routines? 3) Lastly, and what I'm most interested in, is how do you and your wife negotiate management of your child and household? I have 2 young kids (2 and 4 years old) and there is not a chance in hell, she would be happy with me "leaving her to it" from 6-8am =) Thank you!
Hey Sahil! What a great video and great content overall! Just out of curiosity, if you wake up at 04:16, what time do you normally sleep? And also: Sometimes there is a need to engage in activities where there is a lot of discovery and learning. So, it’s not about straight focused execution time. Like building a business where you are trying to learn more about the space. How do you approach this discovery, learning, execution from an energy management and focus period point of view?
So about 5-6 hours of work a day you'd say? I find it tricky sometimes to pick the balance between how many hours I want to work on a standard day, I'd love to see some content around that
Hard to put a number on it, as a lot of my thinking, walking, workout, etc. are part of my work. But yes 5-6 at my desk. I also haven't taken a day off in 10 years from working on something, but that's just because I have balance built into my days.
do you actually do all of this everyday? It's cool to see, and you gave good insights,, but it's not practical to implement for most people who have a regular working job subject to business hours. Thanks for sharing, its cool to see your positive vibes and family.
yes, I follow this general structure, subject to change based on travel, meetings, etc. what part of it is impractical? I think the general principles are applicable to anyone
@@Sahil_Bloom thanks for replying! I think the only impractical thing is having the flexibility to adjust the schedule to one's need. It's hard with a fixed 8 hour work schedule, even if one is working remotely.
I know the video is about something else, and I don't want to add unnecessary tension to the comments, but: Did you really just take your Tesla to Dunkin' Donuts for an iced coffee in a plastic cup? That's ridiculous. I would really like to see principles to 10x your results that are applicable to the mainstream of society while considering basic consensus like 'plastic sucks'.
I believe this missing consideration is exactly the "issue". Don't get me wrong, I enjoy picking up tips from you now and then and I do follow you on LinkedIn. But I believe we often don't look beyond our own experiences enough when we talk about our successes and habits, reflect on them, and try to encourage others. This is especially noticeable in the LinkedIn bubble of ‘A Players‘ which isn't representative of society as a whole. Not everyone can afford to go and grab their coffee with a Tesla, work completely flexibly, integrate expensive products like AG1 into their daily lives, or use a cold-water pool, etc. And on the other hand, there's a group of people who could do all that but still choose to lead a more mindful, down-to-earth, sustainable life. Of course, as a content creator, LinkedIn influencer, etc., you get to choose your own audience. But it's a pity that many choose to stay within their bubble instead of addressing people from different backgrounds or with rather limited possibilities to offer them support, guidance or inspiration.
Great video! I’d love to see a video on what content you consume (books, podcasts, UA-cam videos etc) and how you study those and apply them.
Great idea. Adding to the list.
Not just what. But when and how you consume it would be key :) thank you
This video was well done from the shooting to the cuts to the music. Great job.
Appreciate that. Team gets all the credit!
Love the way you have structured your working sessions. With full time job, need to figure out how to do them. Thank you for sharing.
Love the flow of the video!

Love this. The lack of structure is one of the hardest parts of entrepreneurship. Need to add it yourself.

Great video loved the dedicated blocks and how you apply those to your daily routine. Thanks for sharing.
Appreciate you watching!

Makes me really happy to hear it. Thanks for the kind words!
Stumbled across your channel from the My First Million podcast. Great video, thanks for posting it!
Thanks, those guys are funny :)

Great takeaway. This is exactly what I would hope you learned.
The point on being present is my favorite (and one I’m constantly working on)
I’m far from perfect, but forcing it to top of mind helps a lot.
I loved Parkinson's Law and Presense is everything
thank you!
It was great following you along your day.
And yet another banger video. The editing team does an amazing job!
Team is so good. Really lucky to have them.
Great video.
Great video Sahil, definitely some good principles.
Hopefully some stuff that helps!
Very very impacful video. Sahil you are living such a routine life.
Trying!
Let’s gooooooo! Totally inspired.
My guy! Miss you.
Really enjoyed this, Sahil! Entertaining, heartwarming, and filled with insightful nuggets to integrate into my day.

brand new here, just started and experimenting!
Love these principles.
Do you plan out your next day task before going to sleep?
Yep! See the morning routine video!
This is an awesome breakdown, thank you @sahil! Energy management is so important and rarely talked about.
What kinds of things do you read at night? I'm impressed you are able to get all of that onto physical paper!
Mostly essays/blogs/newsletters/articles.
nice, @@Sahil_Bloom a listicle of these would be amazing for future content!
The production value 💯
Working!
Great video. Curious to see the other side of this. The support required to enable this lifestyle
Support in what sense?
I think he means the wife and taking care of baby

Great video, as always. Quick question - how many hours of sleep are you targeting with a 4:30am wake up call?
8 hours. I go to sleep at 8.

I go to bed around 8pm so I get 8 hours. I spend a lot of time reading, thinking, and learning. Talking to people is a big source of learning for me.
What is the strap you're wearing in the gym?
HR monitor
Do you have an opinion on theWhoop band?
and how does it compare to what you're using right now?@@Sahil_Bloom
Could you please tell me the music track at around 06:00 mins of this video?
Sounds like a cover version of the intro to Mozart's 40th symphony (although I don't know which one)
I can ask team!
Will Van De Crommert - Modern Mozart - Stripped Version from Artlist!
Thanks Sahil. Very inspiring to see you and this music had topped it of exponentially!!! 😊
Love your content. So curious as to why you buy coffee from DD. Coffee is a heavily sprayed crop. I would think you'd prefer organic (which DD isn't).
Have never thought about it. Love the convenience.
A burger sounds amazing right now.

No meditation or quite contemplation besides reading block?
Sauna and long runs are my meditative and quiet contemplation blocks.

LOL that is a funny irony that I hadn't considered. I should get them to put my cold brew in my reusable steel mug that I use at home.
