We all want to find happiness and fulfilment in our lives and careers. We want that sense of having ‘enough’. This episode’s guest has done just that. Sahil Bloom is an investor, creator, entrepreneur (also a former pro baseball player) and now a busy new dad raising his two month old son. In this conversation we talk about finding purpose, the longevity of online careers and how to become durable creators. I also get some great financial advice from Sahil about how to invest during a recession while keeping things simple.

32:00 Who hates people talking about being parents and teaching their kids things? Sahil is 100% correct that these types are "weird". How can people hate on new parents wanting to be good parents hoping to pass on wisdom and skills to their kids. I found this very sad and feel bad that Sahil has even 1% of "followers" that are these types of people.
On a brighter note: What a great interview. Keep up the great work Ali!

Love the video! One thing to think of that I hear so many youtubers say is that they will "grow out of it"... and I dont think thats true.... Because in a way you are the first wave of youtubers = the audience is quite young,,, so you dont really have that many role models of older youtubers that do content for an older audience... because the "older" generation today might not watch youtube because its "new" for them... It WILL be different in the future.... The ppl, your audience now, they will watch youtube or similar when they are 75 too... I dont see myself quit just because I turn 45... even thought it might be so that the ppl who are + 45 today might get info in other ways.... Big generalisation ofcourse!!! But I think "you" youtubers stressing about it coming to an end... I dont think you have to do that.... Maybe I want different content when Im 75, but at the same time, IF you still want to do youtube when you are 75 you probably will want to do other kinds of videos then too? So un-stress and believe that your audience will follow you and grow with you... You will create the future together.

I don’t think content creators with teams of employees should give advice to people just starting out. I think y’all should speak with people who are starting out & having success on their own … mastering consistency with just one platform is Very hard when it’s just you & you work a day job
