The show never actually said tjat your lightning color gets darker the more you use it. People just assumed that that's what happens. Can't blame the show for that.

Well you have to give them credit you can’t make more than 2 seasons completely sticking continuity because we spend all our time looking for Easter eggs or rewatching scenes but they just try to make good story’s while keeping the budget making the cgi trying to make the show as interesting as possible they don’t always have time to look for continuity errors

Uh. I don’t know what this guys deal is, but even in the first episode, Barry’s lightning is yellow. It’s always been YELLOW. It will always be YELLOW! It was never orange. It may have been a shade of yellow that looked orange but they might have been trying out difference special effects and over time, as the effects got better, so did the color of the lightning. I always love this guy’s videos but someone has to set the record straight. His lightning was NEVER orange, it was and is yellow. It just look orange because the special effects and budget might not have been as good as it is today.

Personally, this I why I dont like the Flash's recent seasons: During the earlier seasons, everyone wanted to see Barry get faster and become the legendary Flash that Eobard keeps talking about. Now, Barry is the actual fastest man alive and he is still nowhere near the guy the Reverse-Flash knew. He's still kinda naive and constantly needs advice from others, while Eobard makes it seem like his Flash pretty much has everything down. And it's not like Barry needs more time. In the original timeline, he disappears after four years, so he should've become the "experienced" Flash by season 4. Sure he's four years older in the original timeline, but in this timeline, he has had more years as the Flash, yet seems inexperienced. It just seems like right now, he's faster than he was in season one, but just as naive

But after killing Nora, Reverse Flash just changed the timeline and probably(never explained) erased the OG Barry we never got to know. That's also why he got stuck and couldn't go back. The paradox of changing Barry's life(the young Barry wouldn't become Flash) was catching up with Eobard's since he's Reverse Flash because of Barry. So without Flash, there couldn't be any Reverse Flash. But that's also a bad thing about it. If OG Barry got erased, why Reverse Flash didn't? Of course, then there wouldn't be a Flash tv show at all. So the writers played a plot device and let Reverse Flash just get stuck in that night... But never explained why that happened and he didn't just vanish(as he should have). And again, Idon't remember they ever explained what happened to OG Barry at all. I want to believe that if OG got erased, the reason Reverse Flash didn't was because... I don't know. Maybe it took 15 years for the timeline to merge... But that long? Not when season 3 happened and it took Barry just a few episodes to start losing his memory from the previous timeline(from the Nora's death to the last episode of season 2). Want to know what happened? Lack of actual research about how a time travel theoretically works and a lot of inconsistency from the writers. That's what happened with this show.

Nicolas S. Wait, (I think) OG Barry didn’t get erased, he just never became the Flash. He just became a regular dude, which is why Eobard also became just a regular dude. That’s why Eobard makes sure the next Barry (the young kid Barry he originally was gonna kill) becomes the Flash & mentors him.

I always thought that timeline never existed given the 2024 newspaper clearly detailing the events before Future Flash and Reverse Flash went back in time. The 2020 timeline Eobord mentioned before he murdered the original E1 Wells was most likely the outcome of that moment before Wells’ identity was stolen, Barry never became the Flash and the particle accelerator didn’t happen until 2020. We know Eobord can see different future outcomes as the newspaper article changes multiple times in the show depending on the current events and the outcomes it leads to. Thawne stepping in and taking Wells’ identity set the timeline down it’s original path, thus the 2020 timeline never existed. If the 2020 timeline did exist, it’d be a major time paradox.

By doing that he erased the future that was supposed to happen. So with that Barry get his speed earlier, and all other stuff happens.

I just love future Barry’s suit. Yes I know we haven’t seen it clearly and apart that one time where he was vibrating when warning season 1 Barry. But, there has been parts where we saw very small glimps of his suit. It had yellow lightning patterns around while it had the texture of the season 4 suit.
I love how the early seasons of the flash had a mysterious feel to the future that was really interesting, I feel like they have kind of lost that feel and magic after season 2 or maybe even 1! I think they can get it back with all the crazy future stuff coming down the line for the rest of this season!!! Actually ‘future Barry’ is from a whole other timeline. It was revealed in season one that Eobard’s Barry became the flash later than our current Barry. He still had his mom and dad and he still went through the same particle accelerator explosion just at a later date. This still holds up because Reverse Flash went back to kill Barry’s mother so Barry WOULDNT be the Flash. There actually is a reason why he’s slower. In the comic books, the speed force allows a speedster to take kinetic energy from objects around them to boost their speed, that could also explain Flash Time and why everything is slower in general when he’s going so fast. So if Flash and Reverse Flash are constantly changing kinetic energies there has to be a balance, and if Reverse Flash was slower, the overall balance will be slower. The only reason Reverse Flash in season 1 was faster was because of the tachyon device, and Zoom was faster because of the velocity drug. Without those factors they would’ve went the same speed. And we also know that concepts from the comics translate to this show.

This is a valid point. I always thought that when they showed future barry with yellow lightning there would be a complete noticeable difference that there were 2 speedsters instead of 1
But it's possible that the future barry is our barry that got his powers in 2014 and thats why he knew the events which were set in to motion and warned season 1 barry not to interfere, we could see barry in season 9 going back to that night when it all started.
It's like future flash has seen what happened before as kid Barry so Barry is still alive and had no choice to let his mother die if that makes sense but I see what you mean but with lightning but to be honest it was a different time line and thorn changed so the Barry we see now will have more expireance and if they go back to that night he will re live the seen of fighting the reverse flash but it would be cool to see it as future flash getting his powers in 2014 if that makes sense
People keep pointing out this Barry is from 2020 particle explosion, judging by the fact that we know 2020 particle explosion was ONLY from ONE scene in the show (Eobard talking to the original Harrison Wells), I believe Eobard was lying to Harrison Wells OR he was given false information, perhaps from the Flash museum (because Eobard is from the future and Nora West-Allen pointing out some info in the museum were wrong in season 5 episode 15). This means Barry Allen from this scene could potentially from 2014 particle explosion. Also Wally West in the Legend TV show (season 3) said Nora Allen's death is a fixed timeline. Means whatever you do, you can't interfere with it because the whole timeline will be broken. If we see the scene once again, Barry from the future was actually trying to lure Eobard Thawne, trap him in the past, keeping the timeline intact. This scene reminds me of Savitar's plan. He tried to "create" himself by killing Iris West, but his plan is intervened because it's not a fixed timeline. Btw remember the original Eobard from season 2 episode 10? Harry told Barry that was his origin story. Eobard knows the Flash time period (he didn't say the year) and pretty soon he would try kill the Flash "for the first time" (2024).
The show should really explore the Negative Speed Force and the history of the Reverse Flash. He's the one who created it. Maybe even when we explore the Negative Speed Force, we should see late speedsters like The Rival from Season 3.
That's an amazing theory but Ive another idea: We already know that the speed of Flash and Reverse-Flash is very similar and that Thawne might boost his speed with the tachion device. Gideon tells Thawne that time travel drained his speed. The lightning of a speedster with a natural connection with the speed-force chances according to his speed, brighter yellow for a slower speedster and darker for a faster speedster. Thawne has red lightning due to his connection with the negative speed-force. Since Barry time traveled after Thwane it would drain Barry's speed too, changing his lightning to brighter yellow. IN SHORT: Instead of Barry running slower, he's naturally slower due to time travel draining his speed. EDIT: we can actually see time travel affect Barry's speed when him and Nora travel back to when Zoom stole Barry's speed. Zoom was able to catch up to a way faster Barry!
Okay even if we remove Zoom from the equation, the rest of my theory still stands. If Thawnes speed is getting drained due to time travel, it's possible that Barry's speed also got drained since they're both equally fast.
Actually, the writers for the comics have confirmed (or at least for the comics) that the lightning Color depends on Blue shift. Starting from red, ending at blue. Energy decreasing in wavelength but increasing in frequency bla bla bla... basically red being the slowest although still fast, yellow being moderate, and green purple then blue being the fastest. And so the Color of the negative speed force lightning follows redshift
I think that future Barry might still have yellow lighting at this scene due to the effect that the doplar effect has on light, because of how fast he's going from our point of view, his lighting is darker, so when he slows down, it gets lighter, but also it could be that this version of Barry, assuming this is the version that got struck by lighting in 2024, before Eobard/Wells changed the timeline so that Barry got struck 10 years early, is still relatively new with these powers, and that is where the light yellow comes in with your theory that your lighting gets darker the longer you have it. Also, your theory from the video works well too, and it's certainly more likely.
And why wouldn’t Barry also try to save he’s mother instead of running away? He had already changed the timeline when him and reverse flash went back to that night so why don’t just save her, and then live an happy life.

Saving his mother prevents the events that leads to him becoming the flash, thus creating a new timeline, erasing him. The reason future Barry shakes his head at S1 Barry in that case would probably be because, the fact that he's even there, means that he knows that S1 Barry's mother dies, and knows that he dieing would erase him from the timeline.

I have always been under the assumption that the negative speed force eats away or is fueled by the speed force, so Future Barry could be trying to slow down Eobard by diminishing his access to the speed force. Less speed force for Eobard to access. Just a theory.
Well, the Flash we see fighting Thawne isn't exactly "our" future Barry. It's most likely the Barry, Thawne had been fighting since 2020 onwards. And I think he disappeared because of Nora dying and Thawne then making sure it happened in 2014. Probably becoming the lighting that struck our Barry in the first place to make him faster much earlier than his original career.
I mean maybe the fact that they're fighting, hitting eachother, bouncing off walls, getting hurt, would slow them both down, or barry would have to go the same slower speed as eobard to keep at the same pace in the fight?
I think everyone forgets that Eobard was aiming to kill Barry, not Nora, so it's possible that the Future Barry was only worried about his young self, because regardless of his origin, it's Barry living that's important
Wally west made it clear to me that the bright yellow lightning just means your own connection to the speed force is stronger, Barry sees the scientific part of the speed force while Wally just feels the speed force strength (I think)

I agree with almost all of this the only part I’m thinking is different is what if that day was when Barry was picked up by the monitor for infinite earths so he went back to try to stop Eobard who he may have sensed in the speedforce and as he was returning to the battle after saving himself the monitor was like okay time to grab you, without telling Barry it was time (I know at the time of this comment Barry knows the exact day of his teleportation) but if this is reality 1 Barry then maybe the monitor never told him and he was never informed of it as he was taken out of his fight with Eobard starting crisis on infinite earths from timeline 1.

This is not mine explanation, but this is a good one: "Upon meeting Nora herself in 2015, Eobard realized she was Barry's daughter and asked if her name was Dawn. When Nora corrected him, Thawne realized that his actions in the year 2000 had changed the timeline, inspiring the West-Allen couple to name their daughter after Barry's late mother." Credits to the person who wrote that on Fandom, i agree with him/her. Because Barry and Iris was supposed to have twins (Don and Dawn). But ever since Nora Allen died, that impact the timeline, Barry and Iris ends up having one child named Nora Aest Allen after Nora Allen's death, ( I mean who wouldnt wanna name their daughter after the death of their late mom?). Now that proves that the original timeline did exist and thats why Nora West Allen was being erased. Because Thawne knew that Nora west Allen is an aberration (a person created from a different timeline,Like Lilly,Martin Steins daughter).
But the future Barry we see in the flashback of nora's murder night is the original timeline flash, and Nora wasn't supposed to die. Why would that Barry want thawne to kill Nora to maintain the flow of his timeline? That's what changed it to the one timeline we have followed in the show, in the first place.
He might have realized that is Barry from a different timeline and is from the present so he probably thought to let thawne kill Nora because current Barry looking at original timeline flash would be there if he let it happen and if he saved her current Barry wouldn’t be there

One of the comic writers have said that it's based on the light spectrum. Weak speedsters have red lighting and it goes from red to blue. But for reverse it's the opposite, from blue to red. That was just one of the writers though. Like I doubt it has impact on the movie since erza had blue lightning as a total noob lol. Would have been great if he had a solo movie before jl and had yellow and we saw his lightning start turning blue. But that's dceu so far.
TheVision I’m just pretty confused on how darker lightning would equal you being faster since everyone knows light is the fastest thing in the universe and everyone basically associates light with the colour white. It would make sense if the closer to white your lightning is the faster you are.

Now that we know that the negative speed for exists, a good reason for barry's lightning changing to lighter yellow while going back to save nora could be because eobard was siphoning energy from the positive speed force, making barry's lightning change, as well as the reason's stated in the video.

With the new info we have it must mean that from the time barry catches eobards hit and throws him, that eobard actually did get substantially faster as he puts up an equal fight against barry when they fight in Barry's house in the future/past

True but Barry is technically not connected to the speed force, he is the living embodiment of it. While it can live outside of time and space it clearly needs Barry to become the Flash otherwise Thawne wouldn't have lost his connection to it.
I think the reason that Future Flash disappeared and let Eobard kill his mother, is because Eobard succeeded. Eobard made Barry's life miserable, preventing the flash to be created, meaning future flash had no way to come to the past, leading to Thawne having no inspiration to have speed, he had to create the Flash we know today
That's exactly what happened.👍 Eobard created a "Reverse-Flashpoint" where Barry doesn't become the Flash because Nora dies. Eobard then engineered the timeline with the Harrison Wells and particle accelerator stuff and made it so that Barry becomes the Flash BECAUSE of his mom's death. Now, saving her would prevent Barry from becoming the Flash. Eobard is pretty evil for that.
The most likely answer is that it’s just the production budget that gives the yellow and blurry lightning back in the earlier seasons. But I believe that it begins as a blurry trail as seen in the second episode of the first season during our first view of flashtime, and as he begins to accept his role of the flash he gains more lightning and power from the speedforce as it sees he’s worthy, which is why his is orange now
Well Nora would probably not get accused for killing Barry’s dad so she wouldn’t go to jail and Barry would never go to joes and get closer to iris so he probably wouldn’t get the job with joe since he’s not living with joe so then he wouldn’t be in the lab when the lighting struck and he would of never became the flash

Uh. I don’t know what this guys deal is, but even in the first episode, Barry’s lightning is yellow. It’s always been YELLOW. It will always be YELLOW! It was never orange. It may have been a shade of yellow that looked orange but they might have been trying out difference special effects and over time, as the effects got better, so did the color of the lightning. I always love this guy’s videos but someone has to set the record straight. His lightning was NEVER orange, it was and is yellow. It just look orange because the special effects and budget might not have been as good as it is today.

We did get a glimpse of him in season 1 ending when Barry goes back in time to save Nora. It's the original flash who stops him from doing it.

Personally, this I why I dont like the Flash's recent seasons:
During the earlier seasons, everyone wanted to see Barry get faster and become the legendary Flash that Eobard keeps talking about. Now, Barry is the actual fastest man alive and he is still nowhere near the guy the Reverse-Flash knew. He's still kinda naive and constantly needs advice from others, while Eobard makes it seem like his Flash pretty much has everything down. And it's not like Barry needs more time. In the original timeline, he disappears after four years, so he should've become the "experienced" Flash by season 4. Sure he's four years older in the original timeline, but in this timeline, he has had more years as the Flash, yet seems inexperienced. It just seems like right now, he's faster than he was in season one, but just as naive

But after killing Nora, Reverse Flash just changed the timeline and probably(never explained) erased the OG Barry we never got to know. That's also why he got stuck and couldn't go back. The paradox of changing Barry's life(the young Barry wouldn't become Flash) was catching up with Eobard's since he's Reverse Flash because of Barry. So without Flash, there couldn't be any Reverse Flash.
But that's also a bad thing about it. If OG Barry got erased, why Reverse Flash didn't? Of course, then there wouldn't be a Flash tv show at all. So the writers played a plot device and let Reverse Flash just get stuck in that night... But never explained why that happened and he didn't just vanish(as he should have). And again, Idon't remember they ever explained what happened to OG Barry at all.
I want to believe that if OG got erased, the reason Reverse Flash didn't was because... I don't know. Maybe it took 15 years for the timeline to merge... But that long? Not when season 3 happened and it took Barry just a few episodes to start losing his memory from the previous timeline(from the Nora's death to the last episode of season 2).
Want to know what happened? Lack of actual research about how a time travel theoretically works and a lot of inconsistency from the writers. That's what happened with this show.

Nicolas S. Wait, (I think) OG Barry didn’t get erased, he just never became the Flash. He just became a regular dude, which is why Eobard also became just a regular dude. That’s why Eobard makes sure the next Barry (the young kid Barry he originally was gonna kill) becomes the Flash & mentors him.

2020 Barry doesn’t exist!!! Here is the whole timeline explained : 1st timeline: Barry Allen gets struck by lightning in 2020 and becomes the regular flash from the comics, centuries later an obsessed Eobard replicates the accident and becomes the flash, but he soon learns his destiny is to become the exact opposite of the flash,his nemesis, The Reverse Flash. Then he starts to hate The Flash and travels back in time to kill him.
2nd timeline (was not explained in the show): Thawne goes back to 2015 and learns about The (comic book) Flash’s True Time-period and identity, he travels back to the future to see if he had effected the time-line which he hadn’t YET...
3rd timeline: The Reverse Flash is traveling to the past to kill Barry but as he is running through time Barry joins him and the battle of the Past and Future begins. They arrive at Barry’s home that Dark night and as Barry’s parents were about to drink wine, the wine suddenly appears to be losing it’s weight but no... Barry and Eobard speed into the living room and punch, kick and drag each other as they run in circles. Barry’s mum is in the middle of the fight watching the lightning surround her. 13 year old Barry and his father Henry are helplessly watching as Nora screams for help. Henry tells young Barry to run and in a blink of the an eye The Flash runs young Barry out of the house and ( probably because of a time paradox he fades out of existence) he vanishes leaving The Reverse Flash with his helpless mother. Mother is killed, Dad is framed and the Reverse Flash loses his connection to the speed force since the speed force was created by 2020 Barry when he was struck by lighting ( the speed force is time and space it self and it technically exists even before its creation) Thawne lives the life of Harrison Wells so he can give this timelines Barry super speed so he can create the speed force in 2014 (6 years early) and so Thawne can go back to the 25th century *season 1 events occur, time travels blah blah blah and Thawne is killed by Edie*
4th timeline : The Thawne that time travels to past to find out Barry’s identity in the second timeline can no longer go to a timeline that doesn’t exist so he goes to the third thus creating a new time line where he is caught by the flash and Cisco suffers from the alterations to the time and Barry is forced to release Thawne so he can fulfill his destiny *season 2 events occur blah blah blah Barry suffers from Zooms Wrath and the lose of his father goes back in time to fix every thing and create flash point*
5th timeline: Flash knowing who Eobard really wants to kill, goes back in time and takes the 2020 Flash’s place in the fight since the 2020 Barry was ERASED from Existance. Wins the fight with the Reverse Flash and Flashpoint happens blah blah blah.

I always thought that timeline never existed given the 2024 newspaper clearly detailing the events before Future Flash and Reverse Flash went back in time. The 2020 timeline Eobord mentioned before he murdered the original E1 Wells was most likely the outcome of that moment before Wells’ identity was stolen, Barry never became the Flash and the particle accelerator didn’t happen until 2020. We know Eobord can see different future outcomes as the newspaper article changes multiple times in the show depending on the current events and the outcomes it leads to. Thawne stepping in and taking Wells’ identity set the timeline down it’s original path, thus the 2020 timeline never existed. If the 2020 timeline did exist, it’d be a major time paradox.

When Reverse Flash killed Barry's mother that caused catastrophic changes to the timeline. And as a punishment he lost his speed and needed to create new Flash. By doing that he erased the future that was supposed to happen. So with that Barry get his speed earlier, and all other stuff happens.

I just love future Barry’s suit. Yes I know we haven’t seen it clearly and apart that one time where he was vibrating when warning season 1 Barry. But, there has been parts where we saw very small glimps of his suit. It had yellow lightning patterns around while it had the texture of the season 4 suit.

Actually ‘future Barry’ is from a whole other timeline. It was revealed in season one that Eobard’s Barry became the flash later than our current Barry. He still had his mom and dad and he still went through the same particle accelerator explosion just at a later date. This still holds up because Reverse Flash went back to kill Barry’s mother so Barry WOULDNT be the Flash. There actually is a reason why he’s slower. In the comic books, the speed force allows a speedster to take kinetic energy from objects around them to boost their speed, that could also explain Flash Time and why everything is slower in general when he’s going so fast. So if Flash and Reverse Flash are constantly changing kinetic energies there has to be a balance, and if Reverse Flash was slower, the overall balance will be slower. The only reason Reverse Flash in season 1 was faster was because of the tachyon device, and Zoom was faster because of the velocity drug. Without those factors they would’ve went the same speed. And we also know that concepts from the comics translate to this show.

People keep pointing out this Barry is from 2020 particle explosion, judging by the fact that we know 2020 particle explosion was ONLY from ONE scene in the show (Eobard talking to the original Harrison Wells), I believe Eobard was lying to Harrison Wells OR he was given false information, perhaps from the Flash museum (because Eobard is from the future and Nora West-Allen pointing out some info in the museum were wrong in season 5 episode 15). This means Barry Allen from this scene could potentially from 2014 particle explosion.
Also Wally West in the Legend TV show (season 3) said Nora Allen's death is a fixed timeline. Means whatever you do, you can't interfere with it because the whole timeline will be broken. If we see the scene once again, Barry from the future was actually trying to lure Eobard Thawne, trap him in the past, keeping the timeline intact. This scene reminds me of Savitar's plan. He tried to "create" himself by killing Iris West, but his plan is intervened because it's not a fixed timeline.
Btw remember the original Eobard from season 2 episode 10? Harry told Barry that was his origin story. Eobard knows the Flash time period (he didn't say the year) and pretty soon he would try kill the Flash "for the first time" (2024).

The show should really explore the Negative Speed Force and the history of the Reverse Flash. He's the one who created it. Maybe even when we explore the Negative Speed Force, we should see late speedsters like The Rival from Season 3.
All we know so far is that Thawne's hate for Barry drove him to create the negative speed Force. Alchemy gave Edward Clariss his powers.
That's an amazing theory but Ive another idea:
We already know that the speed of Flash and Reverse-Flash is very similar and that Thawne might boost his speed with the tachion device. Gideon tells Thawne that time travel drained his speed. The lightning of a speedster with a natural connection with the speed-force chances according to his speed, brighter yellow for a slower speedster and darker for a faster speedster. Thawne has red lightning due to his connection with the negative speed-force. Since Barry time traveled after Thwane it would drain Barry's speed too, changing his lightning to brighter yellow.
IN SHORT:
Instead of Barry running slower, he's naturally slower due to time travel draining his speed.
EDIT: we can actually see time travel affect Barry's speed when him and Nora travel back to when Zoom stole Barry's speed. Zoom was able to catch up to a way faster Barry!

Actually, the writers for the comics have confirmed (or at least for the comics) that the lightning Color depends on Blue shift. Starting from red, ending at blue. Energy decreasing in wavelength but increasing in frequency bla bla bla... basically red being the slowest although still fast, yellow being moderate, and green purple then blue being the fastest. And so the Color of the negative speed force lightning follows redshift
I think that future Barry might still have yellow lighting at this scene due to the effect that the doplar effect has on light, because of how fast he's going from our point of view, his lighting is darker, so when he slows down, it gets lighter, but also it could be that this version of Barry, assuming this is the version that got struck by lighting in 2024, before Eobard/Wells changed the timeline so that Barry got struck 10 years early, is still relatively new with these powers, and that is where the light yellow comes in with your theory that your lighting gets darker the longer you have it. Also, your theory from the video works well too, and it's certainly more likely.

No cause that wouldn’t make sense for reverse flash to kill her. Unless she was dead for 7 years in the og timeline.
And why wouldn’t Barry also try to save he’s mother instead of running away? He had already changed the timeline when him and reverse flash went back to that night so why don’t just save her, and then live an happy life.

Saving his mother prevents the events that leads to him becoming the flash, thus creating a new timeline, erasing him. The reason future Barry shakes his head at S1 Barry in that case would probably be because, the fact that he's even there, means that he knows that S1 Barry's mother dies, and knows that he dieing would erase him from the timeline.

Well, the Flash we see fighting Thawne isn't exactly "our" future Barry. It's most likely the Barry, Thawne had been fighting since 2020 onwards. And I think he disappeared because of Nora dying and Thawne then making sure it happened in 2014. Probably becoming the lighting that struck our Barry in the first place to make him faster much earlier than his original career.

I agree with almost all of this the only part I’m thinking is different is what if that day was when Barry was picked up by the monitor for infinite earths so he went back to try to stop Eobard who he may have sensed in the speedforce and as he was returning to the battle after saving himself the monitor was like okay time to grab you, without telling Barry it was time (I know at the time of this comment Barry knows the exact day of his teleportation) but if this is reality 1 Barry then maybe the monitor never told him and he was never informed of it as he was taken out of his fight with Eobard starting crisis on infinite earths from timeline 1.

Because Barry and Iris was supposed to have twins (Don and Dawn). But ever since Nora Allen died, that impact the timeline, Barry and Iris ends up having one child named Nora Aest Allen after Nora Allen's death, ( I mean who wouldnt wanna name their daughter after the death of their late mom?). Now that proves that the original timeline did exist and thats why Nora West Allen was being erased. Because Thawne knew that Nora west Allen is an aberration (a person created from a different timeline,Like Lilly,Martin Steins daughter).

But the future Barry we see in the flashback of nora's murder night is the original timeline flash, and Nora wasn't supposed to die. Why would that Barry want thawne to kill Nora to maintain the flow of his timeline? That's what changed it to the one timeline we have followed in the show, in the first place.

One of the comic writers have said that it's based on the light spectrum. Weak speedsters have red lighting and it goes from red to blue. But for reverse it's the opposite, from blue to red. That was just one of the writers though. Like I doubt it has impact on the movie since erza had blue lightning as a total noob lol. Would have been great if he had a solo movie before jl and had yellow and we saw his lightning start turning blue. But that's dceu so far.
TheVision I’m just pretty confused on how darker lightning would equal you being faster since everyone knows light is the fastest thing in the universe and everyone basically associates light with the colour white. It would make sense if the closer to white your lightning is the faster you are.

Now that we know that the negative speed for exists, a good reason for barry's lightning changing to lighter yellow while going back to save nora could be because eobard was siphoning energy from the positive speed force, making barry's lightning change, as well as the reason's stated in the video.

We've seen red lightning, orange lightning, yellow lightning, blue, purple, white, and I'm pretty sure Black Flash had a negation of colour for his. Where the hell is the green lightning?

There is also black lightning which in the comics red,purple, black means it's the negative speed force.

With the new info we have it must mean that from the time barry catches eobards hit and throws him, that eobard actually did get substantially faster as he puts up an equal fight against barry when they fight in Barry's house in the future/past

I think the reason his color lightning changed was because the writers wanted to give him a color similar to the comics in the begin before they wanted to changed it and developed a story on why orange lightning exists.
But Barry's mom didn't die in the original timeline, isn't that Barry from the original timeline too, how does that work?
It might not be the barry from the original timeline, it could be barry from the current timeline but in the future like season 8 or 9
Actually Barry's mom probably did die because she died by some random mugger in the comics so Im guess thats what happened in the original timeline
@@NetherCrafterSMC No, she didn't die in the original timeline, that's why Thawne killed her, to prevent Barry from becoming the Flash since he couldn't kill his youngest self, I believe when Flash first appeared in the comics he still has his mom

So future flash (2020 that fought RF in season 1) is the same flash that’s missing in the newspaper? When he disappeared after saving young barry he was nowhere to be seen just like in the newspaper. I hope in future episodes/seasons we get to know more about him.

True but Barry is technically not connected to the speed force, he is the living embodiment of it. While it can live outside of time and space it clearly needs Barry to become the Flash otherwise Thawne wouldn't have lost his connection to it.

I think the reason that Future Flash disappeared and let Eobard kill his mother, is because Eobard succeeded. Eobard made Barry's life miserable, preventing the flash to be created, meaning future flash had no way to come to the past, leading to Thawne having no inspiration to have speed, he had to create the Flash we know today
That's exactly what happened.👍 Eobard created a "Reverse-Flashpoint" where Barry doesn't become the Flash because Nora dies. Eobard then engineered the timeline with the Harrison Wells and particle accelerator stuff and made it so that Barry becomes the Flash BECAUSE of his mom's death. Now, saving her would prevent Barry from becoming the Flash. Eobard is pretty evil for that.

The most likely answer is that it’s just the production budget that gives the yellow and blurry lightning back in the earlier seasons. But I believe that it begins as a blurry trail as seen in the second episode of the first season during our first view of flashtime, and as he begins to accept his role of the flash he gains more lightning and power from the speedforce as it sees he’s worthy, which is why his is orange now

Well Nora would probably not get accused for killing Barry’s dad so she wouldn’t go to jail and Barry would never go to joes and get closer to iris so he probably wouldn’t get the job with joe since he’s not living with joe so then he wouldn’t be in the lab when the lighting struck and he would of never became the flash
Dally Dude Therefore, there would be another flash hosted by another person who could’ve not been chosen by the speed force so the flash wouldn’t be as powerful so wouldn’t be able to stop the other metas and potentially the metas could destroy the world.
