The Reverse Flash Timeline
He was born in 2151, he grew up admiring the flash, it became his idol. He became so obsessed that he replicated the secuence of events that made the flash on himself. He became a speedster himself, just like the flash. After some time, he realized that his destiny was to become the opposite of the flash, a reverse. So he traveled back in time to kill barry, multiple times. Either one of them was strong enough to kill the other. So Eobard traveled back in time to try to find out who the flash actually is. In one of his travels he was successful, and he knew that the flash is CSI Barry Allen. Then, in the crisis of 2024, he went back to the year 2000 to try to kill barry as a kid, but future barry followed him back. They had a fight in the Allen's house. Then, future barry takes his younger self to a safe place. Eobard was so mad, so he proceeded to kill Barry's mother, thinking that a tragedy like that would leave him so traumatized that he would never become the flash. But then, when Eobard tried to run back to his time, he noticed that without the flash, the speedforce left his body and had no way to go back. Knowing that he had to stay it that time for a while, he killed Harrison Wells and took his appearance. He did that so that he could speed up the creation of S.T.A.R. labs and the flash. 15 years later, the particle accelerator exploded, spreading a big wave of dark matter throughout the city. Then, a lightning bolt hit Barry allen in his lab.
With the combination of dark matter and lightning, barry became flash, the fastest man alive. Eobard (with the appearance of Harrison Wells, very known scientist) trained barry allen so that he could be fast enought to send him back to his time. After a year of training and being very close friends with the people at S.T.A.R. labs, barry found out that his idol Harrison Wells/Eobard Thawne, was the man who killed his mother. Then eobard told barry that he could go back and save his mother with one condition, he had to send Eobard back to his time. Even though barry was so mad that the man that he had been working with for over a year was actually his biggest enemie and the man who killed his mother, he agreed to send him back.
So he did, he opened a portal and went back to the year 2000 to save his mom and Eobard got in a time sphere to go back to his time. When barry got to the house where his mother was killed, he encountered the future barry that came behind eobard to try to stop him. He told barry to go back so he did. He went back to 2015 before Eobard left and punched the time sphere breaking it in pieces. Eobard was so mad since flash decided not to save his mother. They started to fight. But before eobard killed barry a gunshot was heard. It was eddie thawne, an ancestor of eobard. He killed himself so that Eobard would never exist. Then eobard faded away since he was now erased from existance.
Then, a year later, a timeline remnant of eobard traveled to 2016 to try to find out who the flash really is. This is confusing because he was supposed to be erased out of existance. But since he is from the future, his timeline hasn't started yet, so he can still come back and restart the process all over again. The flash defeated him and locked him up in the pipeline. But that started to affect the timeline. Then the timeline started to affect one of the members of team flash, cisco ramon. Knowing this he gets eobard and throws him back to his time. Then after an evil speedster called Zoom kills Barry's father, barry decides to go back to the year 2000 and stop eobard from killing his mother. Because of that a new timeline was created called Flashpoint. In this timeline, barry grew up with both of his parents and has eobard locked up. After a while, barry starts to loose his memories from the original timeline so he gets eobard and sends him back to 2000 to kill Barry's mom and erase Flashpoint to go back to the original timeline. Then eobard just leaves. After traveling more in time he gets chased by the black flash. Since eddie thawne killed himself, he is no longer supposed to exist, so, he became a paradox. Eventually, black flash catches up to eobard and kills him, erasing him from existance again.
You may think that that is the end of it, but no. He manages to survive being erased off of existance by using the negative speed force to sheild himself. Then, he finds his way over to Earth X and joins overgirl and dark arrow in their invasion of earth 1. After being defeated barry just lets him get away. Then back in earth one, in 2034, 10 years after flash disappeared in the crisis of 2024, eobard gets captured in iron heights. Cicada's dagger was dampening his powers. But then, the 2018 flash with his daughter Nora go back to 2015 to talk to that eobard and have him fix a tool that will dampen cicada's dark matter. After knowing this, eobard elaborated a plan and gained Nora's trust in 2049, a little bit before his death sentence. He told her to do a sequence of events that will get the dagger destroyed. A couple of minutes before Eobard's death sentence, the dagger gets destroyed in 2018 so it doesn't exist anymore in 2049 therefore, Eobard goes free. Then he has a race with 2018 flash and his daughter Nora. After all those changes in the timeline, Nora starts to get eraded out of existance. Then the eobard leaves after telling barry that he'll see him in the next crisis.

Mad respect, but if the reverse flash who was stuck in flashpoint and hunted by black flash was the one to kill Barry's mother, then how did Barry learn to use his speed cause there was no eobard that got stuck and became Harrison Wells ?
@@peterstafford26 because barry stopped reverse flash from killing his mom , therefore he still had his powers intact , I think Barry Learned how to use his powers because he didnt lose his memories of the ORIGINAL timeline , ( the timeline where barry knew that Reverse flash killed his Mother )
And this is why the Reverse is not the Flash's but one of the best villains ever.
Personally, I hold Eobard Thawne as one of the greatest villains in all of fiction.

Although, this time eobard knows that he will die to Eddie and Barry and takes precautions in order to live, this time with information. He then assembled his group in legends of tomorrow in order to stop himself from dying using the spear of destiny, although, the black flash absorbs him into the speed force, and he is trapped in there with Barry at the end of s3. After Cisco creates the device to release Barry from the speed force, than manages to escape as well, this time surviving, but later being imprisoned in 2043, effectively setting the plot for s5. Keep in mind that this eobard is still the time remnant from flashpoint.

@@keynight7513 no, he cannot relive the 15 years before the events in legends of tomorrow season 2 because he clearly states in the show he's been hunted by the black flash ever since barry released him from the flashpoint prison. meaning he would have no time to play 15 years of harrison wells without the black flash finding him and killing him. he also would be wearing wells' face in legends if he did go through that first. i do however think its possible that this remnant (or any remnant he brought into the legends finale) relived the 15 years after the events of legends season 2, in order to take wells' body and face back. since that's who we see in crisis on earth x and in season 5. but the time language is still a useful tool to make sure he never loses any important information.

Wally-s3 when he gets sent to speedforce
Eobard when he gets caught by black flash

When the black flash “killed” him, the black flash actually sent him into the Speed Force, but when Barry got out of the speed force so did Eobard.

I believe that after flashpoint, eobard lived through season one again, but at the end he ran into the negative speed force.
in the legends thawne says that shortly after he was released from the prison in flashpoint he was hunted by black flash. so he wouldn't have had time to play the wheelchair wells role again. the time language telling him about all his different timeline experiences makes the most sense. it's still odd to me though because these time language journals would be like reading someone else's experiences but thawne acts as if he actually remembers all events. it's super trippy

Isn't the negative speed force the only thing that keeps you from getting erased from time.
Vary my theory is that after killing Nora Allen he made a time remnant that went on to live through all of season 1 again and then the main RF brings Barry back to 2016 and continues to legends. The reason he is being pursued is because he shouldn’t exist anymore (cause his remnant was erased) and he starts having his memories bleed over from his remnant just like Barry’s during flashpoint.

@@jasan_o3633 that doesn't make sense to me... if he knew that if he killed the flash he could never go home. That means when he went to kill kid Barry he already knew it would be a one way trip if he succeeded. So then why is he so desperate to get to his original time when he gets stranded there?
One thing I didn't understand is how Cisco started dying because of changes to the timeline. Harry said "This is how he learns your name, this is his origin story", if this is his origin story, then that means that the timeline is going exactly the way it should have, which means that there are no other changes being made to the timeline. So Cisco should have never started dying, which means that Thawne would have been stuck there in the cell.

I love Reverse Flash and Matt and Tom as the elegant and saturated, respective actors of the role but man, Reverse Flash is that one kid on a garden that keeps changing the rules and is the master and the changer of the seed, cause, effect and results, even when he's not correct, he just slaps everyone and changes the rules yet again
When he got erased in Legends S2, he made a bunch of remnants. Maybe he created one more and sent him to the speed force!
Question do you think Don could still appear? I mean we know the timeline Nora is from is gone. Plus with Thawne calling Nora Dawn in the hundredth episode most likely means Dawn and Don used to exist. I mean why erase Nora to just bring Nora back, unless a sibling will appear.
They didn't use to exist they were supposed to exist but didn't or arn't going to because of the timeline change.
Duki Kuki they used to exist. Thawne is from the original timeline where he learned about the flash. We know he wanted to become the flash meaning he learned things about him in the flash museum. Learning about his life. So if thawne called Nora “Dawn” she used to exist including her brother. Meaning that Nora should have never even existed and was just a product of messing up the timeline. Thawne also said “ time Travel is so tricky.” And “At least you still have one.” So since there is a new timeline without Nora chances are we will get Don. Probably Nora and Don now.

Especially in this last season, Arrow was right, the flash fr can't go 9 hours without a damn pep talk.
People always complain about how Barry let Thawne get away during Crisis on Earth X. I think the reason why, which is at least implicit in the show and established in Reverse Flash Returns, is that they can never catch him and hold him somewhere without messing up their own timeline--they can stop him from killing people but they have to let him go back to his own time.
Also, the reason why him being locked up for fifteen years in 2049 doesn't screw up their timeline is because Barry is gone and everyone has moved on (possibly? The only 2049 version of a character we see is Iris). So, him being locked up doesn't screw up Team Flash's timeline.

Wait. If they destroyed cicadas dagger in the past, that would result in Eubard never being held in prison, because the dagger would have never been able to hold him in. So technically, it should’ve been a full timeline reset similar to flashpoint because he couldn’t have been held in prison.

agreed that part makes no sense to me. like why does the affects of the timeline changing only get rid of the dagger at his execution? it should disappear in his past and release him a whole 15 years earlier. but again it's one of countless cases of the writers doing things for dramatic effect rather than for the sake of logic. like when supergirl can carry a 1 million ton spaceship or a submarine no problem but cant hold 2 halves of a cargo plane so lena luther has to climb up so she can drop that half.

You missed the point that Thawne always returns after his death, starting with the season 1 finale, because he disintegrates into the Negative Speed Force, and as Thawne said in the season 5 finale, the Negative Speed Force is the only place immune to any timelime changes. That is why, he won't really lose his consciousness in it and can always return back whenever he wants to and retain every memory from his time language, unlike the Positive Speed Force in which speedsters disintegrates into pure energy. Now it makes so much sense and just in time when "Crisis on Infinite Earths" is about to happen.

When he is moving so fast that everything else seems to appear at a stand still, it is not new and this always bothered me because theoretically Barry can move so fast that anyone who isn't a speedster should not be a problem regardless of their abilities because they just would never see him coming

Yo bro I been watching your videos for a good few weeks and I got to say, I love it! 👍🏻 and iam also a huge fan of the flash series, but anyways there is this one theory that was floating around 2016 or 17 (I don’t remember) that all the Reverse Flash’s did I’m fact died but like u said some were the past RF. What if I told that some how that because somehow the RF got these memories is because it’s not only the speed force but in fact as well as different alternative timelines that Barry that he created that the RF knew eventually he dies and makes more timeline to prevent his other deaths and that’s why we see others RF’s

Reverse flash got erased from existence. And he's still alive. Can savitar come back? He got erased but can he come back again?
This is late but Savitar cant. Savitar was one of Barry's time remnants that lived. He's basically an evil version of Barry. Savitar then ruined Barry's life by killing Iris and causing Killer Frost to mess up Cisco's hands. But when HR died instead of Iris, the future where Iris died now no longer exists. That caused Savitar to disappear from the timeline because Barry and the team don't end all dismantled. Long story short, Savitar needed Iris to die because he needed Barry to go through hell to turn into Savitar
When Eobard Thawne came back and created a new time-line like Flashpoint Barry eventually forgets about his past Eobard should have forgotten about his timeline
