Thank you she and her brother plus Grandma had a fun time decorating. Our freeway is so bad except for the newer #1 lane. I love full throttle also but it's hard to hold on with these roads at that speed lol
Thanks it will get better this happens atleast once a year if not more I just have to rest until the muscles relax enough for the back to go into proper place. Glad to hear you had a good trip to the Canaries. I wish I could buy a boat and sail around the world visiting different islands and countries but that'll never happen so I visit by watching YT
Sorry to hear about the backache RR. I once told the Forest Service up here, that if they ain't got the time to fix their roads I'd do it for them with a few friends. They didn't like that ideal, but they did get to work after that, a fixing "Pot Holes" anyway. Didn't see any Bananas Splitting this week, only Lane splitting. LOL. RSMF.
Thanks it'll get better it always does as this happens atleast once a year. Reminds me of the time relatives actually did fix potholes in the forest road without getting caught because the USFS said they didn't have the budget to do it They got several filled in before the Rangers noticed and stared asking questions of all those camping in the area. You'd think they'd appreciate the free help but I guess not No bananas this week just a couple nuts in cars
I know where your coming from, the USFS they seem to want your money not your help, they'd probably write somebody a citation, if they found out anything, like getting unauthorized help . I tried to tell a few friends here about the Squirrel's trouble we're having around here, they'd asked "what trouble"? Well it's that time of the year, the Squirrels are looking for Nuts, any kinda nuts, all kinds of Nuts, you've gotta be careful. (none of them ride bikes),LOL, RSMF.
Wow, It amazes me how you thread the needle everyday through all those mirrors. i live in KY. And lane splitting is not needed or allowed but I wouldn't do it if we were. It's been a few years since i've been in the saddle and I bought a Sportster a few months ago and put a little over a thousand miles on it but I still have a little balance instability. I'm just fine at speed but starting out and low speed i'm all over the place. Stay safe Brother!
Thanks If I lived in a state that didn't allow it I wouldn't do it either but here in Calif it's legal a necessary at times. Sportsters are great bikes to get started riding again on or if you've got back problems. They're light weight and nimble you just need to ride more at slow speeds to used to them
Every time I watch your lane-splitting videos, I have to mutter to myself, with a sharp intake of breath; "Its only a matter of time, Rob....only a matter of time!"....LOL....! Take care, Rob, and I know what you mean about bad road surfaces, (bouncing about on my light-weight bike)!
Well don't jinx me my friend As they say, " You ride long enough you will crash" or "It's not if you'll crash but when" One of those two sayings? I know I'm pushing my luck with over 52 yrs riding and only one crash on the road in the beginning when I was 15. A guy purposely ran me off the road on the freeway offramp into the pickle weed ( soft landing no injuries to me just my older brothers Honda 90 ) Calif keeps doing tax increases saying it's to fix the roads bur I'm not holding my breath waiting to see them actually do something here. Most of the money goes to fix or build roads in the larger metro areas. They have been widening our section of Hwy 99 for awhile so maybe they'll fix the bumps when they're all done with that? I hope so
I've only clipped one mirror and that was just this year. I've had plenty of close calls. It didn't do any damage to either mirror because I keep mine loose to move just in case that happens. You never know, if it happens I'll post it lol
Never fear Rob, I'm sure you have a Califordian Guardian Angel watching over you....LOL...! P.S....Me?....68 years of motorcycling every day...and far too young to die lane splitting!...LOL...! Take care, Rob!
Ya...backs..knees ..everything hurts but it's not getting me off the bike til I can't get a leg over it!! Oh!..and don't be fixin them squeaky back brakes cuz mine do the same and they got plenty 'o' meat...they just squak a lot. If you 'fix' your's then i'm gonna get feeling all obligated to do the same. Thanks for the ride!
That's what I say & I feel your pain It's the same for me back, knees, hands ugh. When I get to bad I'll eventually buy a 3 wheeler or spyder or get a side car installed so I don't fall over. lol I was thinking of taking them apart and putting that non squeak stuff on the back again this weekend It didn't seem to do anything when i first installed the new pads so maybe not. Thanks & take it easy
Loved the Halloween decoration, your granddaughter did an awesome job .. bumps , Yea .. a part of riding .. love that full throttle

Bike sounds lovely Rob, hope your back is better. Had a great time in the Canaries 35c every day, unlike here in Wales. All the best 😎👍

Back issues are no fun and it sucks to get old lol. Ride safe bro.
I totally agree & wish I could turn the time back 15 years before everything started going wrong
