      Crush the plastic Item for a real world.
      Get cordage from that for a real world.
      This is first three day's stuff, or ideal

    Yeah, great stuff! Jordan and his family are great people! The cordage card allows a lighter load from not having to carry as much cord. We're not lacking plastic bottles laying around in the u.s.

    Can you talk about decentralized technologies that could prevent the grid from going down in the first place? The recent MIT-Harvard breakthrough in graphene mass production was extraordinarily good news in regards to it's applications in solar and battery technology.

      Canadian Prepper I was into prepping for a while until I realized how deep it actually went. As interesting as I find your channel, for me, once it's over it's over... As far as I'm gonna prep is enough supplies to last long enough to see if the grid will come back online, and if not, some sufficiently potent opioids to ensure as peaceful an exit stratagy as is possible in SHTF senario for me and my loved ones (not sure if you'd ever talk about knowing when to quit in an SHTF senario, what with UA-cam censorship, but I think it's an important topic). So instead I am devoting my life to STEM, and hoping SHTF can all be avoided through tech advances.

      I understand Indigo, I was ready for the y2k thing a couple years before it was to happen. Then 2012, the close call with a rock was fun for former Ussr. Now I think it will be a slow grind to a stop or ww3 full on. No amout of deep prepping can be ready for everything. Your going to need to "pop" your head up and interact with people. Not positive how someone will be looked at digging out of a hole after a year; while others have been dealing with hardship and making relationships. Just a thought.

    Not bad though a bit pricy for each of them. Ranger band your chosen card to the outside of a survival/just in case tin and good to go. Wouldn't necessarily grab these over dedicated gear for the purpose especially at this price but a solid back up for your last ditch/back up tin. You could get the tools cheaper to put in a tin but these do look pretty well made.

  • @christstys
    @christstys 6 років тому

    Don't give up on the cordage maker. Have you ever been to America? You can't walk 50 feet without seeing a discarded soda bottle. VERY useful in SHTF.

    • @christstys
      @christstys 6 років тому

      Coca-Cola claims to sell 1.9 billion Cokes each day. If only 5% of those are in plastic bottles (probably a ridiculously low estimate), that's 100,000,000 Coke bottles a day. And that's just Coca-Cola! In SHTF, those bottles are the straw and thatch of the 21st century!

    Can you sharpen up the card knife like any other normal knife? I appreciate your honesty with your assessment on these. Some of them are gimmicky, but I do like some of the cards and they seem more durable than the readyman versions. Thanks, CP!

    • @CanadianPrepper

      Its a very hard steel, it takes a while to put a usable edge on it, it would be OK for skinning and processing small game, but not for carving. I have messaged the manufacture numerous times about how overkill the steel is, its insanely strong stuff, almost too strong in my opinion. Its easily 3 times the strength of readyman.

    Do they export ?? I’m in Australia and would like to buy some of these ? I like the bow heads I own a very good and expensive bow and I like this idea if you run out of or break your arrows also in a SHTF bullets can run out too. I have and carry tin snips and hack saw blades to cut sheet metal and thicker metal to make arrow heads or knives etc.

    About the cordage card, you’re right that carrying cordage in your BOB or you Bug Out Roll ( Yours is the most impressive I’ve seen) is best. The unfortunate reality these days is that humankind has seen to it that there are plastic bottles and containers littering pretty much everywhere you go. So, if you were to have the cordage card on you, you could use the cordage you process with it for certain tasks and keep your good cordage for more important ones.

    You should have put a credit card or 3x5 card or ruler on the table for size comparison. Knives are not really standard and some viewers may not have these particular knives. Minor complaint. I keep coming back and watching this channel though. It's thought-provoking.

    I pick locks as a hobby, and those don't look quite right. It's hard to tell from the video though. The space between crests on the quad bogota look to small, the hook pick looks too big, and I'd rather have a diamond pick than a half ball pick.

    Should have mentioned the retention system, (unlike #Readyman ), #Grimworkshop card has a sticky surface, so you can return the tool back to the card when your done with it. This is great for the tweezer card they make. Also it has a removable plastic backing which allows you to stick to a surface area. Try the file micro tool they offer for sharpening the edges. They have a preorder on 2 new Knife cards. The Fowler signature card & the Bob Hanson signature card.

    Locksmith I am a locksmith from New York I’m looking at that picks it and sorry the shapes do not look right the two most used pics are going to be the diamond tip which looks like a little diamond that one looks way too large and a ball End That’s for picking wait for the locks most locksmiths only use two different types of pics and of course with a tension wrench

    Unfortunately the lock pick card does not work well. The ends are too flimsy to really be useful for much. You might pick one of those journal locks or something with one. But you arent getting through a standard padlock or deadbolt with those tools. However, good thing is that a cheap set of tools are all you need. Id post a link but itll get taken down. Just look around, theres a set that comes with a crapph clear lock, and plenty of rakes and picks, and a "credit card" tool kit. Fitsn inside a credit card looking thing. All in all its like 29 toold for like $6 and thwyre decent quality. A little rough but some sandpaper will smooth them out easily

    How did the fishooks perform?
    I'm worried that the laser cutting will make the eye sharp and cut the monofilament.
    Though I doubt anyone would need as many hooks as you get on the fishing card, but that's just me.
    Both the "self defense" card and the Knife card, have several fishooks on them, along with other things like the little saw, so those give the best bang for the buck.
    As for the lock pick set, as with most things in Canadian law, everything hinges upon intent. Say you were picking the lock of your neighbor's house, with your neighbor standing there thanking you because he locked his keys inside, a police officer would be VERY hard pressed to find cause that you were doing so maliciously.
    On the other hand, if he finds you picking someone's lock at 3am, you may find yourself in hot water. So, intent is always very important.
    Thanks for the informative video!

    Seen the F-350 verison of your Diamond plate tonneau cover with headach rack. Didn't see if a dually or not. The cord maker card is for after your cordage stockpile runs and you are bored at camp. Make extra for trade and barter, also for holding on arrowheads to shafts melt to secure to shaft. My mind is thinking and a card stack dispenser would really have a tool kit. Is the arrow rest on your SAS bow ampi or you build your own .Need a fishing reel adaptor for bow fishing. My mind is rattling off things as I watch this video.

    Don’t wanna sound like a sick but just go buy a good lock pick set or a few fish hooks basically anything in these cards can be bought for more cash but will be better especially if u are using it for a bugout bag and ur life might count on it I’m sure these work but not as long and not as good I guess if ur worried about space these would be good but most of the stuff in these cards are light no matter the quality just my opinion they are very interesting though.

    • @TheGreatBeard
      @TheGreatBeard 6 років тому +1

      You're right, but that's not really the purpose of this. It's purpose is that it's a small item that you can fit anywhere. If something is a chore to carry around, most people will leave it at home. It's the reason pocket knives exist in a world where full tang knives are better overall. You're not expected to need them often but it's to have that one time when you really do need them.

    • @glen1arthur
      @glen1arthur 6 років тому

      Canadian Prepper That makes sense. I think you can usually find a bottle the question will be the condition of the bottle and it may have more value as a bottle than cordage depending on the need. I see this as more as an art & crafts thing. Some of the others I see as keeping in my day hiking pack when I don’t plan on being out over night but have a few things with me just in case of getting lost or injured.

    If you want a tool card with better lockpicking capabilities you should look into the one from Lockmaster make sure you get the v2 kit (www.zieh-fix.com/en/lockmasterr-credit-card-pick-set-v2.html). They took the advice of some people seriously involved in locksport (dudes who pick locks for the fun or challenge of it, learned a lot from locknoob, bosnianbill and lockpickinglawyer on the subject) on UA-cam. They have more tension tool options and a better selection of rakes and picks. Some of those picks (like the one that looks like a comb) don't seem to be very popular in the locksport community.

    • @drTERRRORRR
      @drTERRRORRR 6 років тому

      Ragnor Benson Ofc.My point is you would probably like to avoid the random people in SHTF.And sure,you can't get totally invisible,but for the most part,you want to detect and assess the people before they can spot you.That gives you time to come up with fight/flight/avoidance plan.

    • @ConcernedCitizenPPCA
      @ConcernedCitizenPPCA 3 роки тому

      Preppers probably wouldn't be doing things like single pin picking anyways... In a SHTF scenario you're probably going to go after the low hanging fruit unless you have a particular interest in locksport (people who pick locks for the challenge and fun of it). Which probably means relying on exploits like bypasses where you can shim a lock open and/or rake it open which tend to be the quickest, easiest and lowest skill attacks and usually are the first ones tried. Good thing the world is full of Master locks LOL...

    CP please reference “lockpicking101.com” regarding being in possession of lock picking tools in Canada. Way too complicated for a response in this forum. Long and short of it from what I have read...in Alberta and Sask. you need a license, anywhere else in Canada, buyer beware.

      You need a license if taken outside the home.

      CP, looks a little more to it than that, but hey, your comment works for the abridged readers digest version, sure let’s run with that. (I’m sure you did your homework already)

      As we all know, criminals obey the law and don't use lockpicks in Canada. Oh wait...

      Eggs...isn’t that the way it is everywhere these days? It’s the law abiding citizens that are the real threat...nudge, nudge, wink, wink

      Can you give me an example of a place and time in human history outside of Canada where that was an issue for people? People have been cooking food for a long time, and using fire for heat and to ward off predators.

      if you were in a survival situation where other people were a threat, a fire is an obvious no-no unless you have some way of hiding the smoke and smell. Not sure why this is difficult to comprehend.

      How long are you going to live if you don't cook your food? Or purify your water? You can still freeze in a desert at night! What makes you think I don't understand the concept of smoke being viable? If things ever get that bad, you're going to want that fire anyway. Human history isn't all sunshine and rainbows, but people still cooked food and used fire for many things. Secluded tribes use fire in a jungle, as do people in war torn/natural disaster areas and places that are hit with prolonged economic collapse.

    I heard in Canada, for a firearms licence or permit, you have to have a photo ID showing your face. Unless, You are a muslim and have a religious exemption. That isn't fair and shouldn't even be legal....

      No photo is required. Same with drivers. They can ask for a female to view it though just like body search.

      @@bigbossignition My cousin lives in Ottawa, the government is taking pages out of the 1930s Nazi playbook to control the citizens. She isn't happy about being there. She though she was safer in Canada than the US, but at least we have the constitution, which is under constant attack by the NWO Globalist Nazis..
