I remember watching that MTH tryout special and seeing this but didn't know Tamu at that time. So cool to see it again.

Story goes Mayu & Haragushi-san (both known each other since college) was putting together a side project called Mayu's Sessions, a one off live show, to expose Mayu singing to the metal world. Somehow they got in touch with Tamu. She said she drum for Mayu. Mayu & Haragushi-san asked if Tamu knew any guitarist who's free & would do this session. Tamu knew Saki from a previous project Tamu drummed on Saki's side project if she knew any guitarist who would do this session. Saki said she'd do it since Tamu was the drummer. Saki brought her friend Hazuki in for the one off show.
This explains why this band was so emotional playing *"Life"* to Tamu when she returned to her friends after her maternity leave. Long story short. If it wasn't for Tamu joining Mayu's Sessions (pre Nemophila). *There would be no Nemophila.* And this explains why Mayu was so emotional herself singing *"Life"* during their encore of the one man show January 2022.

Years ago MTH had oudition for their twin group.
Tamu, which already famous as a drummer, came to the audition because she reallly inspired by Nao and want to see Nao as well. I think all people in that audition got a change to jam sessuon with MTH, including Tamu. It's happened before Tamu join Nemophilla.
Nyango Star been invited as well and did jam session with MTH.

I just love Tamu. She's such a wellspring of positivity; you can feel it coming through the screen. I'm with Wave, this just makes me love her that much more!

This was such a cool moment! Didn't realize Tamu was such a great multi-instrumentalist. And such a total bundle of joy! She is such a sweet lady, the video of her making a gingerbread house with her two daughters made me admire her even more.

While they were playing, Hazuki stepped up to her microphone, and I had a clear view of Tamu. She looked right at me and smiled. So I smiled back and waved hello. She waved back!! In mid song!! These ladies are special. ❤

Tamu plays drums, keyboards, guitar and the sax. Plus she is good singer AND composes too. I thought you 4 knew that Mayu had brought everyone together to do some demos so she could get another gig. But Nemophila happened!!!

Why Tam felt it is like westan music because Ryo-kun always chose words that sound become like English even it’s Japanese.
Japanese people can’t notice it’s Japanese words unless they read the lyrics.

You can just say the channel name as BLACK CAT - its a mix of English + Malay, KUCING is CAT in Malay. Or KURO NEKO if you are Japanese 🤔
Songs on Tamu Works section are:
    1. ROMANTIC AGERU YO (I'll Give You Romance), ending theme song of Dragon Ball cover. It was for her appreciation to FREEZACK (drummer of THE WASTED band - with Freeza costume) and Dainashi (the masked drummer - backing vocals) who supported her solo projects & live concert.
    2. SUMMER, her original song, one of the track from her self-produced EP titled INNOCENT released in Sept. 2017.
    3. スーパーD&D ~完全にリードしてアイマイミー~ (lit. Super D&D ~ Completely Leading, I My Me), one of the track from her collaboration single with LADYBEARD titled Super D&D/D Absolutely! released in May 2018.
As for the instruments, she did play bass and some other percussion instruments as well. FYI, except for the track LUPIN III theme (rearrangement only), Tamu composed all songs by herself. Yes, she wrote all the lyrics and music from bass to guitars, piano to xylophone and everything in between.
Although she did everything, became composer to producer, please note that she did not dare to ride that 'blue Harley-Davidson' shown on the cover of INNOCENT 😆🤘🏻

😂😂😂This episode was worth the year's subscription. I haven't laughed this hard in a while. Plus, I enjoyed finding out more about TAMU Nemophila's drummer. Nao seemed shocked that she has now, that we know, influenced two well-known drummers. Wow

1:50 MTH lyrics are in Japanese, but sung as if in English. Many Japanese people mistakenly think that they are singing in English, so they think it is Western music. (Yoshu fukushu has clear Japanese and subtitles because of the message.)

Nao played a very important role for female musicians in Japan, not only as a drummer but also because she showed everybody it was possible to keep on playing rock music (and really heavy one) while being a mother (she's a mother of two). Before, female artists usually stopped their career to raise their children. Now, it's becoming normal to have childrens while being in a rock band and keep on rocking liek hell (Tamu of course, Mayu, Miyako, Asami, Toki ... ).

    • @napodyna6981
      @napodyna6981 Рік тому +2

True, but I believe that Nao was not yet a mother when Tamu, a junior high school student, decided to start playing the drums because of her admiration for Nao. And she was NOT the first to continue her career while being a mother, not only in classical and traditional fields but also in popular and rock. The music of Carmen Maki (1951-, debuted in 1968) of OZ (1972-77, etc.), for example, can hardly be called 'light', I think.
Carmen Maki & OZ "I am the Wind"
      ua-cam.com/video/DhUWHZ8mV2w/v-deo.html
Anyway, here Marty Friedman (who once did a cover of "Tsume Tsume Tsume") praises Nao's drumming, after stating that he himself is particularly demanding of drummers, (as usual, the auto-translated subtitles are not helpful, though.)

MTH is much better known as a musician. They have a career spanning more than 20 years and have been featured in songs for Cup Noodles commercials, Death Note, and Dragon Ball Z. But they have held back on their online activities. Tamu became popular in the UA-cam era, and young people may know her better.
